The Blue Swordsman

The Blue Swordsman
The Legend of the Lightning Sword

The sun began to rise in the eastern horizon, its light felt softly shining on the leaves filled with dew. The chirping sounds of the birds and the rustling of the river water rang out, creating a natural song so beautiful. The river flowed more and more rapidly into a forest and formed a waterfall that is quite high.

Under the fall of the waterfall appears the figure of a human body sitting cross-legged calmly, as if not disturbed by the circumstances around, even the cold frozen river water was completely ignored. That figure is none other than Rajendra, it seems like he is undergoing special training. His body seemed to be being forged by nature to be formed into a stronger human. He hardly realized how many days he had passed by staying silent under the waterfall.

Some time earlier, when he had managed to pull out a sword on a wall inside the cave, he saw an old figure with a white beard who introduced himself by the name of Mahesa. The conversation still lingers closely in Rajendra's mind ;

"I've been waiting for you for a long time." the old figure said as he stroked his white beard.

"Waiting me?" He replied in wonder, astonishment that exceeded his surprise seeing a figure that suddenly appeared in front of him.

"Yes, I've been waiting for someone who is destined to have that sword.." Reply the old figure pointed towards the sword that Rajendra was carrying.

While looking towards the dazzling sword that he was carrying Rajendra looked puzzled to speak. With doubt he asked,

"This sword does not seem to be an ordinary sword?, when I first saw it this sword seemed to glow".

The old figure simply smiled and replied to the question with a question,

"Is that all you feel for that sword?" seen while asking the white bearded figure wanted to assess the sharpness of the senses in Rajendra. A clear glimpse of the old figure was sure that physically the body of the young man in front of him was strong, the muscles on his body were not too big but looked so pliable, requirements that must be present in the candidate of the magic swordsman. But he also felt that if there was still something wild about this young man, there was a kind of heartless cruelty, fearless courage akin to the bravery of a wild beast.

"No, not only that, there is something else I feel when holding this sword, a feeling that is difficult to express in words" Rajendra tried to answer without confidence in his words, then he tried to choose the right word and continued "I can't explain it exactly, but when I grasped this sword there was some kind of power going into the body, as if I felt a great spirit stirring within me, I felt ready to fight with anyone and felt invincible.." this time his voice sounded more steady and confident.

"Like that yeah.." The old figure seemed to nod his head as if he agreed with Rajendra.

Now he is more convinced if indeed Rajendra is the right person to have the sword, "*H*Just need a little training and enlightenment in order to eliminate the satisfaction of this young man" he said in his heart.

It is said that at that time the world was on the verge of destruction, war over territory almost occurred every day. Ruler kings were blinded by greed, burned forests, plundered villages and massacres were common sights at the time. What a picture of the destruction of the world that seems so real.

But at that time, at the end of the country there was a figure of the King who was very sad to see this chaos, he thought it was useless to expand the territory if not coupled with the welfare and prosperity of his people. Then the wise king came and begged the gods for a power that would unite the land. His prayer was answered, when the wise King came to a dream telling him to go towards Mount Meranti.

Feeling that he knew the place in question, he rushed to the mountain. When he reached the foot of the mountain, when lightning arrived, he saw the lightning that struck it leading to a stone repeatedly. As he approached the lightning flash, when he arrived, he saw that it had split a large rock.

Inside the split rock, he saw something that seemed to glow bluish, the blinding light that disguised the shape of the object. When the light gradually faded, it appeared that it was a sword. So the sword was taken with his hand, when the sword was in the grasp of the king, as soon as a glittering light appeared from the tip of the sword, it seemed to flow from the tip of the sword into the body of the King.

The sword had given the King a very strong devotion. Feeling that he already has the power to unite, then with all the troops he has, he also fought all the angkara in all the country. The power of the King that he got from the sword that the god gave him was so great that no despots could stop the onslaught of the King and his army.

It did not take long finally the King managed to unite the entire country under his rule, the people were happy because finally peace can be realized and slowly began to rebuild his life. The king ruled with justice and wisdom. The great land became prosperous, feeling that his desire had been achieved and the king divided his territory into two and bequeathed to two kingdoms to his children, The king withdrew to the mountains and no one else saw him. The two kingdoms are now known as Shaminari and Bhawana.

The legend seems to be so penetrated in Rajendra, then when he finished listening to the story he became very excited, he wanted to be like that king he also wanted to save his sister. When she expressed her wish, Mahesh answered ;

"There are things that you must do before you can have that power, you must practice self-control, your heart must be brightened so that you can refine the bad qualities that exist in you, and your body must also be forged to be strong to receive the power of that sword.."

"So what should I do" Rajendra asked in his confusion.

"I'll train you, I'll put all my knowledge down on you.."

So begins the hard training Rajendra has to go through, and ascending under the waterfall is the end of the test he has to face.
