Lake Tirtanara is now in front of Rajendra, from nearby now seen many people who are busy fishing with fishing. Many places are built of wood made jutting into the lake for fishing, there are also small boats moored on the edge of the lake. It seems like the locals besides using boats to catch fish at night, they also rent boats during the day to people who want to try fishing in the middle of the lake.
When looking to the left right of Rajendra also saw many gubug built on the lake, the possibility of the gubug-gubug was also rented to immigrants who want to stay for fishing at night. A local resident who saw Rajendra and Ranu turned to the left right and approached them,
" Do you want to fish?, or maybe you want to rent a place to spend the night? " Task the person while smiling kindly.
" We don't want to fish, at least for now, but the offer of a place to spend the night I want to "Rajendra replied while facing the person who asked.
" Accidentally, sir, my gubug is still empty, please see if the master is interested "the resident replied, allowing to follow him.
" Yes, I want to see the place" Rajendra said as he stepped in following the man.
The residents also directed them to a gubug not far from it, the gubug was only a small square building. When they went inside Rajendra saw that inside it had been provided reed mats and a small table, above it was also hanging an oil lamp. Although narrow at least they now have a place to shelter while here.
" How about sir? Are you interested in renting this car? " Ask the people after letting them look around.
" Yes, I will rent this place, maybe for the next few days "Rajendra replied as he placed his luggage onto the tile floor.
" Well glad to hear it, if you need anything, you can find me in my house" he said, pointing to a house that also seems to open a shop business.
" Do you sell food? " Task Rajendra when he sees the direction of the index of the population.
" Yes sir, if you want to eat please order and we will deliver it here ".
" Good but not now we don't want to eat "
" Emh. yes, I guess that's it please rest I want to continue my work" said the resident please resign.
" Yes please "Rajendra replied.
The resident immediately left, it seemed like the step he was taking was his home. Actually Rajendra wanted to invite the man to talk just find out the story about Lake Tirtanara, but because he knew the man was busy Rajendra undo his intentions.
" Do you want to go fishing? " Tanya Rajendra to Ranu who looks cool looking at the people who are fishing, regardless of the hot weather that hit directly into their bodies.
" Want a teacher, will the teacher take me fishing? " Answer answered quickly.
" No, you go fishing and I'll wait for you there" Rajendra said, pointing to a club that seemed to sell or rent out some fishing gear.
" Can I help you sir? " Ask the owner of the shop.
" Yes, this student of mine seems to want to go fishing, do you sell or rent equipment for this fishing? " rajendra replied while pretending to choose the joran on display.
" Joran I rented it, but the other equipment I sold it "the man replied,
" Have you found a suitable one? " Tanya Rajendra to Ranu who seems confused choosing the fishing rod to be used.
After considering the two joran in his hand Ranu also thrust one at his teacher, "this one is just a teacher! " She said.
Rajendra continues Ranu's wishes to the tavern owner, after completing everything needed to lure Ranu immediately rushed to find a place to fish. He looked to the left right then glided to a place he thought was suitable for fishing. Rajendra who does not like fishing just look at his students from inside the tavern "what's the good thing about fishing? " he said in his heart, For him fishing is something very boring activity.
The real purpose of Rajendra is while waiting for Ranu who went fishing he wants to talk with the shop owner, at least he wants to find a little information about the land in the middle of Lake Tirtanara.
" What is this many days sir? " Task Rajendra when the stall owner comes with his drink order.
" It is uncertain sir, sometimes even if the weather is good it is not as crowded today "he replied explaining.
" Has the boats been used to cross to the mainland in the middle of the island? " Tanya Rajendra then directs the conversation to the topic she wants.
" You mean Canala Island? " the shopkeeper replied lowering his voice as if afraid to hear others.
The owner of the store who later introduced himself named Sarno told a hereditary story about Lake Tirtanara. The land in the middle of the lake is called the island of Canala, and based on stories circulating there has been no one who can set foot on the island. Any boat trying to get close to the island of Canala will be pushed away, because from the moon as if it could create a kind of current that will push any object when it will approach the island of Canala. Locals believe the stream was created by a giant snake that lived on the island.
It is said that if the village of Grigis experienced a period of famine, that time came a very long drought. The land in the village became dry and barren, the small reservoirs they built already seemed to dry leaving not a single drop of water. Many residents also began to complain about the state of the village and began to look for ways to be able to maintain life in his village. Various ways used by residents to find or make water sources, their efforts are in vain.
Some of them began to use strange ways to achieve their goals. The village leader said if this village had been cursed by a god, and to release the curse in this village they had to subvert a virgin girl. Although at first many disagreed with that opinion, but the situation worsened with the rain that never fell, making the population believe the proposal is worth trying.
The residents finally prepared to perform an offering ritual led by the chief, the woman who will be made a victim seemed to have been blindfolded and bound by her hands. They gather on the edge of a dry reservoir. Just before the woman to be thrown into the reservoir, residents heard a voice from inside the reservoir telling them to stop the ritual. Not to mention the loss of shock they felt, a giant green snake suddenly appeared from inside the reservoir.
The voice was apparently from the snake, the Snake then asked them to disperse the ritual and told the residents to go home. The giant snake then told the residents to return the next day to see the reservoir, he promised that tomorrow the water in this reservoir will be full again. The inhabitants complied with the snake's request and began to disperse.
Some say after the residents left the snake then started circling in the reservoir, the round made the snake then made the reservoir become bigger and deeper, and the, turned the reservoir into a lake because of its size. Then began to appear the water slowly filled the lake, the lake was then called Lake Tirtanara. The round of the snake left a land in the middle of the lake that is believed to be the residence of the snake, and the plains in the middle of the lake was called the island of Canala by residents.
