Day after day Rajendra passed with his students in the small village, so much that he could teach his students that it did not feel like more than two months he lived there. That morning the sky looked cloudy, indeed when it had begun to enter the rainy season. Ranu who was excited to receive training from his teacher was seen preparing to take a position in his backyard.
When he saw the teacher did not also come to him and instead sat on a bamboo chair while looking at the sky Ranu was impatient again and immediately shouted "Let my teacher be ready to practice today..?" His voice was full of spirit.
"No, today I will not train you, today we will have a training holiday" Rajendra replied as he waved his disciple over.
"But why?" Ranu said full of disappointment and walked unsteadily towards his teacher.
"If you're too busy practicing you won't see any changes around you, how about today we relax, you can do what you love I'll take a break too" Rajendra said trying to explain to his student who looked each gloomy.
"Sana go play, or maybe you intend to catch fish" Rajendra continued, while laying on the bamboo bench Rajendra also seemed to start closing his eyes.
"Yes well" said Ranu as he walked towards the hills around his village.
When Ranu finally reached the foot of the hill he took a piece of wood and beat it to the trunk of a tree. His mind seemed to be feeling upset but not because today he was not training, but because he remembered the words his teacher said when training him, his teacher always said "focus". I don't know how many words came out of his teacher's mouth when he trained him, but he hasn't been able to do it yet. Every time they faced each other in training, the attacks he had aimed at his teacher never hit him, but when his teacher counterattacked he had never been able to avoid it, and when that happens the teacher always says "focus.focus on your opponent's eyes".
"What's wrong with me" Inner Ranu felt annoyed at himself. He realized that when he was staring at his teacher, his eyes were always wavering too horribly for him to see the glare of his teacher's eyes. Maybe that's the reason why he can't focus? How can I have a look like that? those questions were always buzzing in his heart, and had not been answered by him until now.
Ranu's thoughts instantly froze when he heard the noise and asked for help in the distance, full of curiosity he also walked quietly to find out the origin of the sound and also wanted him to know what was going on. As soon as his eyes widened, his heart seemed to stop, as if he could not believe what he was seeing.
Ranu hid himself behind a bush in his heart he said "they are back.." , they meant Ranu was a gang of criminals who once came to bring destruction in his small village. "I have to tell the teacher" he said whispering to himself. He crawled away and walked around trying not to be caught.
When he was about to run away because he felt safe, he was shocked because he had been confronted by someone from one of the gangs of criminals, he said, even more shocked when he saw the criminal who confronted him was the one who had killed his two parents. The face of the person in front of him will not be forgotten by Ranu especially the scar formed is very strange on the right cheek of the criminal, he said, a sign he always remembered as a characteristic of the person he always wanted to reply to.
"Where are you boys !?" Shouted the villain to Ranu, accompanied by threatening with a machete he carried. The face of the criminal was so cruel, a face that seemed designed to be unable to smile. The tone of threat accompanied by a cruel face would freeze the blood of anyone who was threatened, indeed for a moment Ranu seemed unable to move. But the next second he managed to take control of himself, overwhelmed with the anger he had been pending all along.
The slash of the criminal's machete was too tight so that when it did not hit the target of the criminal's body into a grove ahead, not to mention the criminal had time to balance himself, he said, Ranu had already lashed out a punch with the wood he had brought from earlier. The blow to the head of the criminal made a very loud crack, so it is uncertain whether the sound came from a broken wood or a broken skull. Because the body of the criminal was immediately uprooted with eyes remained open and seen saliva mixed with blood coming out of his mouth.
The incident seemed to be seen by several herds of criminals from a distance. The herd immediately ran and screamed after Ranu, feeling threatened Ranu ran away trying to dodge. But his small steps were certainly no match for the criminals who had gotten used to living by hunting it. Then it did not take long they had caught up with Ranu and were now encircling him.
"What did you do, boy!?" Shouted one of the criminals.
"Kill him !!" Shouted the other.
Feeling unable to escape Ranu can only resigned by trying to keep fighting. Simultaneously the criminals attacked Ranu with various kinds of weapons they carried. Ranu was frightened, he was confused, he could only close his eyes waiting for the death that might come soon , in his heart he had said "Dad, mother , Ranu will catch up with you".
Feeling the attack that awaited never came Ranu was curious and opened his eyes slowly. When he opened his eyes completely he seemed to not believe what he saw the four people who had surrounded him had all died, Ranu then realized there was a figure behind him, Ranu, when he turned his head he saw that his teacher had been standing quietly.
"Are you okay?" Asked his teacher without looking at Ranu. Rajendra's gaze focused forward looking at the rest of the gang of criminals who are still carrying out robberies in the village.
"Yes teacher" replied Ranu slowly feeling overwhelmed that he had been saved.
"Now you hide, it seems like there's still something I have to do" Rajendra ordered Ranu.
Ranu did not have time to answer, his teacher had darted towards the remaining herd of criminals. Ranu immediately rushed to hide behind a house near him. From his hiding place he could see the bodies of the criminals who had surrounded him, after being observed from the bodies of the bodies there were no sharp objects, at all, but from the look on the face of the corpse whose eyes were wide open and the gaping mouth reflected a great pain just before death.
"What has the teacher done to them?" Tanya Ranu inwardly. A moment later he sat down and leaned against one of the walls of the house where he was hiding, he looked up at the sky and cried softly from his mouth ;
"Dad, my mother has succeeded in avenging you.." A sense of relief permeated her as her tears stopped dripping.
