Just south of the village Seruni flows a river that looks clear and so natural. The river flows around a hill, then flows continuously across a large village called Askara.
Around the village of Askara seems to be going on a big change, it seems like King Prabaswara decided to expand his territory by trying to make a fortress in the area. The village seemed busy, hundreds of workers were deployed to build the fort, as the number of people who came to the local village business grew. Many food stalls suddenly sprung up in the village. Around the fort there were several workers engaged in conversation
"Do you think the war will happen again..??"
"Perhaps who knows, it seems like none of them have been strong enough to hold power"
"I thought you were right, I heard the commanders of Widyatmaka are trying to gather strength"
In the great war that occurred some time ago, Widyatmaka's side was the previous ruler who successfully overthrown his power by King Prabaswara. Many say now Widyatmaka is regrouping forces to try to reclaim power over the country.
"Sat... You speak too loudly, we could get in trouble if one of those soldiers hears you" one of the workers tried to remind him of his theme.
"Whatever Widyatmaka really is doing, there's no way a small people like us can know, but I'll bet there's a reason"
"Hey...back to your work..!!!" The chatter of the workers was stopped by the loud voice of a soldier who seemed to be assigned as a worker supervisor. The workers immediately continued the work, accompanied by the sound of clanking hammers and wood that was split clear sound typical of the construction that was happening.
Not far from the construction of the fort is seen a shop that looks crowded by guests. There were some laborers who were resting to eat, some soldiers, travelers and merchants. They seem to enjoy food and drink cheap wine. With chats that interest each one. The fanfare in the store is like depicting the epitome of prosperity.
By direct order of King Prabaswara, the landlord is no longer allowed to rule at will. They no longer have the right to rule the peasants, now the peasants must be left to work their own land and made a fool of with the government and politics that are in turmoil.
Landlords were kept busy with development, merchants were allowed to trade, residents were given the freedom to try, and farmers were not allowed to die of hunger but were also monitored so as not to rise above their status.
None of them realized, if slowly they were being cast into a tyranny of feudal rule that would bind their freedom. No one knows what will happen in 5 or 10 years except King Prabaswara. For a moment they were allowed to enjoy that pseudo-peace.
Rajendra had reached the village about two days ago, his first day until he seemed amazed by everything he saw. The noise of workers' voices, the hustle and bustle of people on the streets, the offers of working women in the taverns trying to lure passers-by to stop by, all that was new he found. Of the many new things that he saw, what fascinated him the most was the existence of silat universities that were quite a lot of popping up.
"What are you doing there?" Hardik was a person who seemed like that senior disciple.
"Oh..I just looked around" replied Rajendra looking shocked at the presence of the senior student who arrived.
"look-look? aren't you another college spy?" continued the student, indeed at this time the silat college is racing to attract many people to become students. So that many of the universities then send some students or people to see and find out about the advantages or disadvantages of other universities. For the senior student, Rajendra's presence seemed suspicious.
"Hach.." surprised by the accusations against him, Rajendra continued, saying "No, of course not, I'm not even a college student"
The student then began to pay attention to Rajendra from toe to head, as if trying to judge and find out the truth of Rajendra's speech.
"Look at that, judging from the clothes you're wearing, it seems you're just a hick who has no money but is interested in silat" with a smile that humbles the student and then tries to drive Rajendra away, "Get out of here before you regret it.."
Aware of her belittled anger Rajendra also chirped "Whatever threat it is, I will go if I want, this place is a public place you can't throw me away at will"
"Oh.Have courage too you seem, come closer let me teach your mouth to heart speak.." Said the disciple was confident in his strength.
Rajendra, who had been trying to be patient for a moment, could no longer hold back his anger at hearing the challenge from the proud senior disciple. He also came closer quietly. Not to mention that he got near the student, it appears that the student tried to attack Rajendra with a kick, Rajendra who had expected the attack to easily avoid the attack. Rajendra lowered his head to avoid a high kick aimed at his face, followed by a sweep of Rajendra's legs that knocked the student's body down. "Park....." A loud shout echoed as Rajendra finally continued his attack on the disciple's face, it seemed that consciousness had vanished from the senior disciple.
That loud shout was of course heard by all the students in the college, or even someone saw the incident. Because suddenly the disciples had scattered shouting swear words approaching the scene. But in that place only the unconscious body of the senior disciple was found. Rajendra was gone, after the incident Rajendra immediately jumped over the fence and immediately ran into the forest.
"I have to go, this place is no longer safe for me" Rajendra said in his heart.
He goes further to the forest and continues his journey to his village, a destination that some days was distracted by Rajendra's interest in new things he saw.
