The Blue Swordsman

The Blue Swordsman
Ajian Atmaanjana

The night moon seemed to shine brightly, its light was able to penetrate the lush foliage in the forest, forming the shadow of a tree that danced in the wind. Ranu who looked so happy because only this time he felt through a journey by riding a giant Wolf, always smiling.

" where are we going now, teacher? " Tanya Ranu who looked still cool riding on Riswana's back enjoyed her journey.

" We are going to the hamlet of Grigis which is on the shores of Lake Tirtanara" Rajendra replied while looking at Riswana as if he saw the answer there.

" Is that place still far away??"

" I don't know? Risvana will lead us there "

" If we walk like this maybe two or three days to come." said Riswana interrupted the conversation.

Their journey to the hamlet of Grigis is to look for the existence of Nadinari spirit water or commonly called Nadira when transformed into a green snake. According to the story of Riswana shortly before they left the village of Maruya, Lake Tirtanara is the closest place compared to where he hid to the other guard spirits. Rajendra, who feels that now finding the four guard spirits is his responsibility, decides to head to the place immediately. The night was getting late and it seemed like they had to rest and spend the night in the forest,

" It seems like a pretty good place to rest" Rajendra said when he saw a sloping, short-grassed place.

" Are we going to stop now??" Ranu replied as if disappointed because he had to get off Riswana's back.

" Yes, we have to spend the night here, there is no need to rush to get there " replied Rajendra who caught the tone of disappointment in his student's speech.

Ranu finally complied, he jumped down from the back of Riswana and Riswana changed himself into a human form. Ranu then spread the reed mat he brought, after it felt neat enough he also allowed his teacher to sit and he followed.

" Can we eat the supplies that we bring again the teacher? " Tanya Ranu.

" Yes, just open it." replied Rajendra, who was looking to straighten his legs.

When Ranu opened the parcel given by Darya the village head of Maruya, he found a small package that looked not to contain food.

" What is this teacher "asked Ranu showing the pouch he found.

Rajendra turned his head and took the bag from Ranu's hand, after he held it he squeezed the bag and without opening it Rajendra knew if the contents of the package were pieces of money. " Is this Darya's gratitude?? " Said Rajendra in his heart. For a moment he thought about returning it considering he had too much trouble but after thinking about it again the possibility if he returned it would make Darya disappointed. He finally kept the bag in his shirt and thanked him inwardly.

" If you have finished eating fast sleep" Rajendra said to Ranu while lying down his tired body.

" Good teacher, does the teacher not want to eat? "

" I'm not hungry yet" replied Rajendra who had started to close his eyes.

Seeing his teacher who had fallen asleep Ranu also inched away so as not to disturb his rest, the face of his teacher who looked so comfortable made it unbearable if his movement or voice would disturb the calmness of the teacher. Ranu then enjoyed his food while looking up at the beauty of the full moon.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere of Wanamawa forest is so quiet, the moon is seen shining in its perfect circle, the whirring sound of wind and the sound of birds plopping that occasionally makes the situation seem haunted.

In the darkness of the night forest were seen two figures who were sitting glancing at his feet, the figure was none other than Patih Pramana and Wanara who were preparing to perform ritual requirements to study Atmaanjana, the study of Atmaanjana, because that night was exactly full night.

" Are you ready, sir? " Tanya Wanara was seen carrying a bowl filled with blood.

" I'm always ready " replied Pramana steady.

Wanara then seemed to prepare his ritual, his eyes began to close and his mouth was seen to chant a spell, after he finished thrusting the bowl filled with red liquid to Patih Pramana.

" Drink this sir" he said later.

" What blood is this "asked Pramana trying to ask.

" Do you really want to know? "

" No, no matter what blood this is I will drink it" Patih Pramana said, after reassuring his heart once more, he drank the blood in the bowl in one gulp. The sight of blood coming out from the tip of his lips because his mouth was too full, what a terrifying-looking image of someone who had been blinded by ambition.

After seeing Patih Pramana drain the blood in the bowl that he gave Wanara began to say the next condition that must be met, Wanara began to say,

" After this you must ascend under the great tree until the next full moon, without eating and drinking and will ignore any distractions that may tempt you in the hermitage that you are living. " Said Wanara explained.

" That's all?? " Reply Pramana seemed to underestimate Wanara's terms.

" Yes, that's just it" Wanara said repeating Patih Pramana's words, but a faint smile unfolded from her lips as if hiding something.

Patih Pramana was seen walking towards a large tree that seemed to be in the center of Wanamawa forest, he also looked for a suitable place and began to take a stance to live his hermitage. Without flinching Wanara just saw the motion of Patih Pramana from his place "will he be able? " wana said in his heart. Because this is the first time he taught the study to humans, of course, the doubt about the success of Patih Pramana is very large.

" I have to leave now" Wanara said slowly as if remembering something to do, his form disappeared immediately. Wanara turned out to go to the stealth country there he was looking for some demons, later the demons of choice Wanara will be ordered to tease and give a test to Patih Pramana in his hermitage.

After feeling enough to make his choice, Wanara also invited some of the demons to go to Wanamawa forest. Arriving in Wanamawa forest, Wanara began to explain to his men what they should do. There were at least seven demons he carried, the tests in the hermitage included physical strength, the attenuation of conscience and the test of lust.

So in the first ten days he asked two demons who had the ability to bring up water and who could make fire to test the strength of the body Patih Pramana. Furthermore, in the next ten days he wanted to test Patih Pramana so that he no longer had a conscience, a test that would make stealth grow in Patih Pramana, namely the cruel nature of not knowing pity, unloving and far from human.

And in the last days, the most severe test for men will he face, Wanara will tell five demons to become beautiful women who are almost naked to continue tempting lust from Patih Pramana. A test that would make any man tempted and forget his main purpose.
