Canala Island by the people around Grigis Village is still considered a haunted place, so all the stories concerning the island will soon be a byword. That was how it happened towards noon that time in the village of Grigis, the news of someone who was now on the island of Canala immediately became a stir.
Seen a lot of residents who gathered on the shores of Lake Tirtanara seemed to be in a state of confusion,
"What does the boy really say?" Ask one of the residents to the owner of the club who spread the news first.
"It seems so, because yesterday I knew if he was here with his teacher" replied the owner of the club while looking at the people who were watching him.
"While it is true then how did he go to the island of Canala" asked one who was standing next to the owner of the club.
"That's what I don't know, because the boy only cried when I asked him that" replied the shop owner while looking at Ranu who looked still sobbing.
"maybe the man was kidnapped by the Canala island waiter..?" Said someone who looked the oldest.
People just looked at each other and fell silent, seemingly unwilling to believe it, but at the same time unable to refute the possibility. Although the villagers believe the story of the giant snake that lives on the island of Canala, but all this time no one has seen its form directly.
As news spread about Rajendra around the village, more and more people now came to meet the shores of Lake Tirtanara. Most who come just want to know, some others are trying to help Ranu to go to the island of Canala. Some people who were willing to help it seemed to be trying to prepare a boat to cross to the island. Those who were initially reluctant to help Ranu then felt sympathy when the boy said he would go to the island alone.
"If no one wants to take me there, at least lend me a boat, let me go there alone" Ranu said at that time who saw the adults he asked for please seem hesitant to help.
"Don't you go there alone, too dangerous.well I'll take you" said a large, dark-brown man. It seemed like she felt touched by the determination and earnestness Ranu showed.
"I'll drive you too" said several people almost simultaneously.
When this time the people were preparing the boat, suddenly came someone who tried to ban them. When that person was already near them it turned out that he was the Village Chief,
"Are you really going to cross over to the island of Canala?, think about it carefully" said the village chief as he walked over to the people who were carrying his boat to the lake water.
Feeling being looked at one by one by the village chief, the men lowered their heads.
"Whose son?, which son?" Asked the village chief as he approached the person who answered earlier.
"The boy sir" replied the person while pointing towards Ranu.
The village chief looked in the direction he pointed to, and he saw Ranu, feeling that the boy was a stranger to him and asked "What's your name?,and why can you be sure that your teacher is on the island of Canala?"
"My name is Ranu sir" replied Ranu without answering the second question because he did not know how to try to explain the answer.
"Hemhs...Ranu yes, you are certainly not a resident of Grigis village, because I just saw you this time. Surely you also know nothing about the island of Canala" said the village chief. Then continue by telling the story of the origin of the island along with the mystery that exists on the island of Canala.
Ranu was speechless to hear the story conveyed by the Village Chief, for a moment he felt hesitant to continue his plan after knowing that no one had made it to the island of Canala. Starting to imagine in his mind the face of his teacher, unwittingly his tears had filled his eyes.
The village chief who saw Ranu's eyes began to tear up trying to speak to comfort and encourage Ranu, "Son, if your teacher is on the island of Canala, of course he is not a swordsman. So try to believe that he will be fine and will be back soon. That's the best you can do than try to catch him there without certainty that he will make it to the island" while approaching and patting Ranu's shoulder to show his sympathy.
Ranu listened to every word that came out from the village chief, after he felt calm Ranu felt that the speech had a point. If he insisted on going across the lake his chance to make it to the island was not great, and though he succeeded he certainly did not know which part of the island he would find his teacher. And Ranu also believed his teacher was not weak any more he went with Riswana, "he must be fine" he said in his heart. Ranu's worries gradually faded into despair if his teacher would return soon.
"Yes sir, I will wait for him to return to this place alone" Ranu said after calming down.
Shortly after Ranu said that he heard the sound of people shouting while pointing towards the lake, he said,
"View.... Someone is approaching from the island of Canala..!!" Shouted the people while pointing to the middle of the lake. Everyone immediately turned their eyes to Tirtanara lake, now they can see if in the distance something seems to move on the water and as if making the water become choppy.
Panic, fear and curiosity are instantaneous, perhaps because it is too confused people can only be fixated and look at something that is moving closer. When it was close enough it began to be seen if it was a living creature that resembled a large snake. A large green snake with 2 horns on its head, and between the horns appeared a person sitting cross-legged quietly. Ranu who recognized the figure sitting on the head of the giant snake immediately ran, "Guruuuu..!!" Shouted Ranu while facing directly towards the creature, he slipped among the crowd of people who were astonished to look at him.
A moment before Rajendra had planned everything. He initially told Nadira about the origin story of Lake Tirtanara which is believed by the villagers of Grigis. Rajendra then discusses his plans with Nadira, and Nadira does not mind to help make Rajendra's plans come true.
So that his words can be trusted by the villagers, Rajendra also plans to show the residents if it seems as if he has managed to conquer the Giant Snake waiting for the island of Canala. He also wanted the residents not to feel afraid anymore to leave or maybe want to settle on the island. Because he thinks it is too dear if the beauty and fertility of the island of Canala is thrown away, because of the fear of the population by the myth that has been enveloping it.
