The Ace Of Disasters
Episode 2
A bullet shot rapidly towards Ayhner who was not ready to receive the attack. He was too focused on the bullet that was darting towards him that he had no time to dodge. If only the bullet could hit him, it was certain that his heart would have been hollow and he would have died somewhere else, it would have to be watched by dozens of people around here. He himself did not know why this man tried to kill him even though he had helped him avoid being killed by his own father.
Suddenly another bullet appeared from the side then collided with another bullet. A small explosion occurred right in front of Ayhner's eyes before Ivonne quickly moved to protect her from the light that could have left her blind for a while. He pulled it and closed Ayhner's eyes with his palm.
The foreign bullet came from Aciel's weapon that always carried him everywhere while outside. Not only that he is also a military police officer whose life may be being targeted by some people. His great ability in using firearms, led him to be recruited as the captain of the Queen's Dog group.
Eldric tried to help them by kicking the man's weapon into disrepair and forcing him to kneel and hold both hands. In such a position, he must have felt pain in part of his bones. Even some of his joints let out sounds that grieved anyone who heard them. Eldric's patience is exhausted. After the zombies appeared in his mansion, he could not bear it any more if there was someone trying to kill each other here and further aggravated the scene.
”What happened?” Ayhner looked puzzled after Ivonne let go of her hand that closed her eyes. He was curious as to why the man could sit on his knees in the midst of everyone as if he were a prisoner about to be put to death.
”Ayhner, you're okay right?” Ivonne looked anxious and continued to pay close attention to him.
Ayhner. ”But, what's up with that guy? Why is he like that?”
”Good move Mr. Hanley. Allow me to interrogate him.” Aciel walked up to the man while looking at him coldly. It was that gaze that made some people intimidated while talking to him.
Aciel sat on his knees in front of the men then asked, ”You realize what you did just now? Why did you try to kill my son?”
The man clucked in annoyance, distracting him as if he did not want to answer his question. Everyone seemed to be busy watching a show that did not have to pay a fee. Moreover, this show was completely unrelated to the scenario that someone had created for them.
For a while, the man kept showing the same attitude and was reluctant to answer. Feeling ignored just because of one small question, made Aciel become even more angry.
He stood back up and this time, he would not use a gentle way to interrogate her. ”I ask you once again, what is the reason you tried to kill my Son?”
Aciel gave him a second chance. But the man still did not answer. Over time, his patience ran out. In one quick gesture that counted for less than a second, Aciel kicked the man in the face to make him slip from Eldric's grip and crash into the side of the audience. Everyone screamed in fear. Some stayed away and some left immediately because they were horrified by a show like this.
There were blood spots that formed a line. Apparently, the man's mouth was bleeding until some of his teeth were broken and thrown out. A red scar formed on his left cheek. His eyes were closed next to him because his facial muscles were starting to swell slowly.
Aciel walked over. His existence seemed to be a death threat to the men he was targeting. Either he has to get battered or not. But, this man did not show the slightest regret while trying to get back up from his sleeping position.
”You still don't want to answer it?”
The man remained silent as if not afraid of the punch or kick that Aciel later did. He was like a person who was ready to die and would not regret having to die in the most painful way like this.
Ayhner who saw it sighed. If it had been like this, he would not have acknowledged that Aciel was his father. Before the second blow was launched, with a sneak Ayhner said, ”Dad! How embarrassing! Stop already! I killed his father because he was infected with a monster. But, this guy kept trying to protect her even though his father repeatedly wanted to eat her.”
Everyone listened and remained silent. Unexpectedly, they could all hear firsthand the story of him being a monstrous human species and always ending tragically. Nor do they believe that this battered male is trying to protect one of the human species.
”You, a child as small as you, how can you kill someone so easily?! Did you never realize that you had covered your hands with innocent blood at all?!” male snapped.
Ayhner was silent as if feeling guilty for killing this man. He was suddenly gloomy, regretting what had been done all along.
Aciel doesn't take it. He again kicked the man in the face sadistically and said, ”... No one told you to talk like that. My question has been answered and you have the right to be quiet.”
Ayhner, who had originally looked gloomy, began to draw a grin and raised his head back, looking at the man with no remorse at all.
”True once! I kill innocent people just as they do innocent people. My goal in doing this is to avenge the people who died in vain and restore the world's tranquility of unwanted species.”
The man grinned. ”... I was right, yes. That human, more ruthless than Monster.”

After that incident, the Hanley Mansion became everyone's conversation. Some did not expect that there appeared a zombie that had preyed on one person there. And some others were amazed at the way Ayhner killed the zombies. The man who tried to kill Ayhner has also been handed over to the police. He is being interrogated on the grounds of protecting a dangerous monster. Eldric also became a highlight of attention. When he had just arrived in front of a liquor store, some people immediately talked about him.
So noisy. He could never stand all the noise outside his home. He lowered his hat, hoping that no one would recognize him in the crowd. Moreover, he had currently come alone and had not found a single person who came from his mansion.
Everything changed when he heard the sound of bells ringing from the door that was opening. ”... Oh, Eldric! You come to this little place?”
This voice, Eldric felt like he had known her. Unmistakably, this voice was the voice of Ayhner who had just walked out of the liquor store. He quickly looked at her. Ayhner still wore his simple clothes and black robe which seemed to be his daily clothes.
”You're here?”
”Why? I come here often. You never saw me here? Or maybe, you purposely followed my lead and stopped here?” Ayhner began to suspect.
Eldric sighed. ”... Yeah, you can think of it that way. My arrival here is to thank you.” he gave a pause. ”... Thanks for your blessing, my ears became noisy. It was so disturbing that I wanted to end my life. I don't know what punishment I deserve to drop for you.”
”Oh, sorry? Is it a compliment or a threat? This time I can't tell the difference.”
”It was both. It's up to you to think of it as what.”
However, he found something that made him have to stop Ayhner's steps right then and there. He saw a corpse that was thrown from the air and would befall Ayhner if he did not immediately dodge it.
Quickly, Eldric immediately pulled her away from the stand before finally, the corpse fell to the ground with the front body landing first. His face was smashed, hitting the ground. His blood was all around him. That incident, made Ayhner directly look up. Sure enough, in one of the tall buildings, he saw a black-robed human figure who was the one behind all this. On the back of the body, a writing similar to a short message was written.
”Let's meet at Hotel Mulberry on the top floor.”

”Haah, the old man dare to use anti-Mainstream ways to invite me to his meeting.”, said Ayhner examining the corpse that landed right in front of him.
”Isn't that a real corpse?” Eldric was beginning to be vigilant. However, he also felt a little strange on the corpse. Everyone has avoided it too. They did not expect that there would come a truly unexpected surprise in this city.
Ayhner turned to look at Eldric looking at him confusedly as if he did not understand his question. ”... What do you mean? This is not a real corpse. The old man just used an unusual way to invite me to his meeting.”
He raised the body's hand and then took it off. Clearly, there are some cotton buds that fall from the arm and strands of thread used seams that have been made very neat.
”It's just a doll. You can see something strange here, right? The blood was only on his head but not on his entire body. His head is also fake. All this is just a doll.” Ayhner sighed. ”... Haah, you shouldn't bother pulling me. I can handle this myself.”
”Then, how about the blood?”
”He filled the doll's head with strawberry juice and wrapped it in a very thin plastic. So, when this doll, slammed into the ground, the plastic broke and made a blood effect like this.”
Eldric was speechless, he understood what Ayhner said. And he also wondered who had made all this. ”... Then, who are you going to meet at the mulberry hotel? Was a person as dangerous as the man who tried to attack you back then?”
Ayhner blinked a few times. It felt like there was something strange about the question Eldric had asked him. Really weird even sounds absurd. He thought that Eldric had lied about his question and would not admit it after he answered him.
”You won't lie right?”
”What do you mean?”
”Your question just now? Did I not hear wrong? You ask as if you are worried about me.”
”I ask doesn't mean I'm worried about you. I'm just asking.”
”Really? I don't know why I don't believe.”
Ayhner started walking away from him. However, just a few steps away, Eldric who saw it from behind was shocked to see Ayhner who looked in pain on his chest. He even fell to his knees from his standing position as if to indicate that the pain he was experiencing was really real.
”What's wrong with you? Is there any part that hurts?” eldric began to worry.
”Sick once. My chest, feels burnt.”
Ayhner's words sounded very convincing and made Eldric feel even more anxious. He tried to touch Ayhner's chest and check the heart rate and pulse that was on his neck. For a while, Ayhner continued to groan in pain. Increasingly made Eldric confused with his condition.
”Actually what are you sick with?”
”Sick, pain once— but lie.”
”....?”
Eldric was surprised not to play. In an instant, Ayhner's face looked mediocre like it was not in any pain. His eyes blinked a few times, making sure that this was reality. And it turned out, he had actually been tricked by her.
”Don't mess about the disease! You lied to get my attention, right?!” Eldric clutched the two collars of Ayhner's clothes until he shook his shake.
”Aahh, don't blame me. I just wanted to make sure of what you said. You said you asked doesn't mean you're worried. I thought you were like that but, it's not entirely true. Now I can see it.” said Ayhner as he stood up and stepped away from her. ”... All right, I'll go. Oh yes, and also, be careful for the night. Monster or zombie, could have stayed at your house.”
Unbelievingly.
Ayhner is really gone. For some reason, Eldric felt the atmosphere turn silent again. A quiet man like himself would never hate the silence in him and always hate the commotion around him. However, for some reason Ayhner's temporary departure makes her feel lonely as if she lives alone in this chaotic world.
Eldric stuffed his right hand into his suit pocket. Accidentally, he found a piece of paper whose origin was unknown to him. Without a second thought, he immediately opened the fold of shabby paper that seemed to have writing in it. Then he tried to read it carefully so that he could understand the meaning of this paper.
”AT 8pm, come to the cathedral bridge!”
That's all it says on paper. There is no written name of the person who wrote it. The only thing on Eldric's mind right now is Ayhner's whereabouts who may already know what's going to happen later and who may have put the paper in his pocket when they were both near each other.
”What does this mean? He asked me to come there? But for what?”
