Episode 16's
In the evening the city was raining. Ayhner still hasn't returned to her deserted home. Moreover, it seems that Aciel and Ivonne have not returned since the impromptu attack. He walked one by one puddle of water. At that time, the city was deserted. All of them seemed to be hiding in the middle of the night because of the fear of monsters or zombies that could eat them. I don't know who he'll talk to this time other than the wind that hits him.
”Did Eldric have managed to erase his memory last night?” ayhner muttered as he stopped walking and looked forward blankly.
Eldric must still be surprised. All this time he did not realize that the one by his side was a monster that could eat it at any time. However, Eldric still had to underline that Ayhner had no intention of eating it. Although, he had not eaten human flesh for many years.
The moon was not visible. Ayhner could not bring out his power if the moon hid behind thick clouds. This is his greatest weakness. Fortunately, when Lou attacked at Hanley's mansion, the moon was shining brightly. So he could bring out his strength as he pleased. However, if only he overused it, it was possible that he would spiral out of control like the monster attack incident today.
”Beautiful weather, yes?”
This male voice came from the front. Quickly, Ayhner looked at her and she finally found out who was standing there without using an umbrella or any object that could block the rain.
”Oh, old grandpa. You still remember me?” ayhner said after he saw Luois standing there staring at him.
Luois smiled. ”... You were the kid yesterday afternoon, right? When it rains like this, you're more like a normal human being.” Luois gave a pause. ”... You must be really happy because you finally look like a human being. Isn't that your dream? Seeing you weakened like this, made my hunger even greater.”
Ayhner grinned. ”... My dream is to die as a human being. But, dying in your hands is a hellish path for me!”
Ayhner quickly attacked using a knife that was always stored in his cloak. With ordinary movements and not relying on moonlight, of course, his speed was like an ordinary human. And surely, Luois could avoid it easily even being able to hold back Ayhner's hand that was trying to slash her from the front.
”You sucked for trying to attack me. It seems, your words were just words, yes?” luois said as she pulled Ayhner's hand and threw her into the street until she was dragged away from where she was standing.
The human species is capable of healing all wounds and diseases. However, they could not heal their own wounds.
Ayhner's left leg dislocated due to his not-so-good landing. He became unable to stand perfectly and his movements would definitely be interrupted. However, just as he stood there, he was suddenly struck with a spear swing pointing at him. He quickly dodged while enduring the pain in his leg. If he continues to move, his legs can be deformed and even completely paralyzed.
”You must be a Monster right?! Show the real you!” shouted a man carrying a spear. He came with a crowd of people with wounds all over their bodies.
Ayhner was shocked to hear these accusations. Behind him, Luois laughed then said, ”That's a shame. My business with you is done. It seems that you have some patients to treat.” after saying so, Luois suddenly disappeared from before everyone.
Ayhner clucked in annoyance because every time he met Luois, there was always a big problem that could not be avoided by him. These people don't seem to want to budge and will do anything to get what they want.
Boldly Ayhner looked at them and asked, ”What do you want?”
The man carrying the spear replied, ”What else?! Of course we know that you are a monster! Monsters can heal various diseases and wounds using their blood. You think we didn't witness what you did to that woman?!”
Ayhner remained silent for a while. ”Then? You want to torture me, take all my blood and meat for sale then just kill me?”
The man standing in the front row grinned. ”It turns out you're pretty good at guessing, yeah! Hurry along! Catch her!”
Everyone there simultaneously attacked Ayhner with the sharp weapons they were carrying. Ayhner did not fight any more than to stay there, looking at everyone who would surround him.
DORR!!!
A bullet shot into the ground they were stepping on. Just as they moved then, the bullet would definitely injure their legs or even destroy them. Because the people who do it aren't ordinary people like them.
”Whoever comes near her, I will take out her entire stomach!” aciel said, standing on the front side of the alley while brandishing his bullet weapon.
One of these people was angry and shouted, ”You are the captain of the Queen Dog army! Instead of protecting us you want to kill us!”
Aciel looked at them all sharply. Although from the outside he looks unconcerned with Ayhner but, in fact he cares a lot about not even letting anyone hurt his son.
”What about you guys? Ordinary people who have no ability. If you're standing at the front line, I'm sure you've gone home, crying and hugging your mother. Also, is this your reply after I tried to protect you from the monsters that attacked this morning?!”
”You yourself have unconsciously kept a monster in your house! A person like you does not deserve to be a subordinate of the queen!”
Aciel remained silent for a while while lowering his weapon. ”... My son is not a monster he is still human. Just like His Father and Mother.” Aciel gives a pause. ”... If you ask about his ability to cure all diseases even to the point of recovering a dying person, it is his ability that he was born with. I purposely hid it so that no one would use it. But, he alone decided to heal the wounded and sick. No matter what his body is in right now. He fell ill and fell into a coma for a month because he lost too much blood. That's why I tried to hide it again. But you guys are playing games with me. This time, I will not forgive those who are out of bounds!”
Aciel brandished his bullet weapon and was about to shoot towards the crowd of people. However, Ayhner quickly held his hand so that he did not shoot and only frightened these people.
”Forget what happened today.” he said to Aciel then he stared at the people. ”... You all go! While I can still forgive you!”
Some frightened people immediately ran backwards followed by some stubborn people who still wanted to get what they wanted. A few moments later, only the two of them remained.
Slender.
Ayhner took off her hand and walked away without inviting her. Aciel was pecking on the spot while keeping his weapon again. His eyes then glanced at Ayhner and he realized, Ayhner's steps that look deformed because of his sprained left leg.
Aciel then walked up to him. Pulling one of his hands then raised his son above his back. Ayhner felt very surprised while Aciel looked mediocre like there was no burden sitting on his back.
”Let me down! Why are you doing it?!” ayhner tried to rebel.
Aciel arched a light smile as he looked at her. ”... It is not good to walk on an injured leg. I better take you. It hurts a lot, doesn't it?”
Ayhner remained silent for a while until he finally stopped rebelling. The two of them were silent without anyone starting the conversation. Ayhner himself was thinking of something that made him curious even something he could not remember.
”By the way it was, you were great enough to lie to stubborn people like them.”.
Aciel was a little surprised. He laughed a little then replied, ”I'm not lying. It's all real. Your grandfather and grandmother did not teach this son to lie.”
