The Ace Of Disasters
Episode 19's
”Okay, very heavy. I'm like sleeping with an elephant!”
Ayhner muttered in his mind. Slowly, he opened his eyes that had been asleep the entire night. He inhaled the scent of various types of flowers that were used as his room fragrance. Padded and light, it was certain that he was currently on his bed. But, what is this?! Why does it feel so heavy?! It felt like he did not keep any unsettling objects into his room.
When his eyes were completely open, he saw a foot that was resting on his body while sleeping to the side. Followed by a hand that grabbed his face to make him feel very uncomfortable. Quickly, he looked back to see who was sleeping next to him.
He was quite surprised to see the existence of Aciel who was sound asleep next to him. He didn't remember anything anymore after he heard all the stories that Aciel told last night. It is truly unkind of a father deliberately one room with his son.
”Go there!”
Ayhner kicked Aciel's body until he fell from his bed. Instantly, the body that should have been fresh after sleeping all night turned into aches after he fell from the bed. So did Ayhner who felt the same way after being overstressed by a load that exceeded his capacity.
”Aduh, Ayhner. You're so mean to me. I will have delivered you home.” said Aciel while holding his back that fell first.
”Do you have to sleep in my room? Your sleep can't stand still so you've been tormenting me all night!”
Aciel blinked a few times as if he did not understand. ”Can I do it again?”
Ayhner put on an annoyed expression. ”... Don't pretend you don't understand. Your bad habits have made some people restless!” he nodded while pointing.
Geck,... Geck,... Geck,...
The sound of knocking on the door was heard in front of the room. A housekeeper came to visit them and was about to say a message.
”Tuan Leory's. You got a call to gather immediately at your headquarters.” said a woman standing there.
Aciel stared at the door and was a little suspicious of this call. ”What do they say?”
The woman fell silent for a moment then said, ”I don't know Sir. I was just told to tell this to you. All your troops have been waiting at headquarters.”
Aciel got up from his bed and was about to walk towards the door. He already sensed that there was something strange here. For some reason, his servant's attitude was very different from what he usually was. He was very sure this was a trap.
Aciel turned to Ayhner for a moment to say, "Stay at home. This disaster is not finished.”
Ayhner was surprised, not understanding what his father was talking about. A moment later, the door was tightly locked and only he was standing alone there. What he meant by disaster was not finished yet, making him very eager to know what it meant. Could it be that there would be many monsters spiraling out of control near here and causing more casualties?
Quickly, he immediately ran towards the exit of the room about to look for something. Everything seemed mediocre and remained the same as yesterday. Only, Ivonne still hasn't returned from her job caring for the victims yesterday.
As he passed through the stairs, he heard some servants wiping the floor talking to each other.
”You know? This morning at church. Someone said that he saw a suspicious figure.”
”I don't think so. He's a starving zombie. This morning, the survivors of yesterday's incident died after being eaten by the zombie. Then the trail of his blood pointed clearly towards the church not far there.”
The church?!
Ayhner's premonition was suddenly bad after she finished hearing their story. Lately, nothing extraordinary has happened to him. Could it be that this bad premonition did not refer to his state that would be at a tipping point but rather someone else related to him?!
”Eldric? Is that him?”

This morning Eldric was visiting a church. That place is not so crowded. Only a few visitors prayed there. Eldric, who had never spoken to Ayhner again, decided to visit this place so that his curiosity would disappear.
It was a busy day. Not usually the nobles and poor people come to visit here. There were several guards standing guard at the front door and several inner doors. Eldric came wholeheartedly, staring at the window that was being illuminated by the sunlight.
Eldric sat on one of the long benches that were there. While putting his hands together, Eldric said, ”Please meet me with Ayhner. Only once. I want to listen to his explanation.”
Just a few seconds into the silence, suddenly a woman ran up to a guard shouting, ”Please! There, there's a suspicious person!”
The guard was surprised. The woman was like pointing towards the empty pulpit that stood majestically in front of the window. He was confused, what did he see that frightened him like this?
”What do you see young lady? That's not a rat, is it?” the guard spoke with abandon.
”He's human!” answer the woman loudly. ”... S-part of his body has been eaten. His hands and feet are gone and his head has been chewed partially.”
The guard gulped, hearing the story this woman had told him. Even so, he still said this woman's words were just a joke. This woman must have just seen a little mouse accidentally wandering around here. Such a murder is impossible.
”You are there, miss! Let me check.” said the guard as he walked to the empty pulpit that the woman had appointed.
Eldric watched as he heard the conversation of the two of them. The guard walked over and approached his pulpit. Arriving at the narrow spot, he looked not so surprised because there was no object or person hiding there. Just very few regular blood spots. Perhaps, someone who was injured had accidentally dripped his blood in a place like this.
”Young lady, don't play around anymore. Here there is nothing!” snapped guard.
The woman fell silent while bowing her head. ”... That's weird, I saw a human corpse there. Ahh, it's possible that the corpse is gone. But, wait a minute, doesn't if there's blood, it means there should be a corpse as well?” slowly, the woman showed a grinning smile. ”... What if, you're the one I made the corpse of?!”
Instantly, the woman's mouth opened wide with her sharp teeth. In an instant he bit off a part of the guard's face then chewed on it slowly. The sound of the guard's screams made all the church visitors shudder in fear including Eldric who witnessed it firsthand.
Then, amid the tension, suddenly the door opened wide with Ayhner who immediately ran into it while shouting, ”Everything goes from here!”
