SUKMA: The Deal With the Devil

SUKMA: The Deal With the Devil
Overturned

After driving Sukma home, Bu Inah felt angry when he found her husband was admitting things he had never done to his employer in the dining room. The middle-aged woman immediately approached Mr. Risman who was bowed lethargic in front of Farah and Arini. Driven Mr. Risman until his body almost strayed, then glared at him.

"Astaghfirullah, sir! Speak, Sir. A nebuuut! Since when do we do the idolatrous thing until we want to subvert our own master?" ask Bu Inah in a high tone.

Mr. Risman looked nervous at the anger on his wife's face. He could not lift his head straight.

"Now you hear it yourself, right? Your husband did evil to me. I really didn't expect, you guys can do this with me" said Farah starting to corner Bu Inah. "The impression of his son's behavior is strange. It turns out his parents were Satanists."

"Oh my God, Miss Farah. I swear, our family never associate with God" Ms. Inah said in self-defense.

"Here you go, Mother Inah, don't lie anymore" said Arini holding onto Ms Inah's shoulder. "Thank you. The reality is that Mom's husband wants to subvert my niece."

"No way!" elak Bu Inah, then looked closely at her husband's eyes. "Father said to them, if you never do anything idolatrous!"

"Mr Inah, don't try to influence Mr. Risman! If he has admitted, yes, yes," said Farah annoyed.

"For God's sake, Miss Farah, we've never done anything so simple. Let alone subvert Mother, worship the devil never," explained Ms. Inah with a face of compassion.

"So, instead of Miss Inah constantly getting angry is not clear, mending we get the evidence to the pavilion," suggested Arini trying to mediate.

"Evidence? What evidence, Mom? Want to be searched to the ant hole even though you will never find evidence of worship," said Bu Inah insisted on his stance.

Farah and Arini ignored Mom Inah. They rushed towards the pavilion to look for evidence showing that Mr. Risman had performed the cult. Ms. Inah was anxious to see the husband's indecision. Along the way to the pavilion, he continuously nagged Mr. Risman. However, Mr. Risman remained unmoved.

While they were heading towards the pavilion, Wanara and the old lady who inhabited the room conversed with each other. The old woman was inexhaustible, Wanara could make friends with Sukma easily.

"What are your advantages, Wanara? How can a boy who has been my target ever be more affectionate with you?" the old woman asked, her legs against the wall of the room.

"I am hard to conquer. That's why he was curious, "he answered while eating offerings that were placed by a mysterious person under a spring bed.

"Difficult to conquer what do you mean? You stay here just eat it's obeying to the boy."

"That's what humans don't know. Conquering me is easy, but most humans prefer to do complicated things."

"Volom, Wanara. You are indeed lucky, you can be loved by the demon princess quickly. Looks like our king will give you many awards."

"Award? What award?"

"You can be raised to the right hand of the king."

Both eyes of Wanara sparkled to hear the words of the old woman.

"But you have to be careful. The only time you make a mistake and hurt that boy, your energy will be absorbed all the way until there's nothing left."

"Calm down, I only hurt the humans that have been grounded for me. Not the devil's son."

"Good then."

When he was about to finish the session, there was a noise from outside the room. Farah and Arini entered the room, followed by a couple of husband and wife in the pavilion. Wanara was surprised, knowing their arrival and protecting his food.

Meanwhile, Farah and Bu Inah were stunned to find a offerings tucked away near the bed. Even with Mr. Risman, who did not think there was a thing in his room. While Arini who had carried out his plan with Mbah Suro since yesterday, secretly smiled a little behind his hand.

Without thinking much, Farah took the offerings quickly, then threw them. Of course, Wanara rode apitam for him.

"Basic fucking man! I haven't finished eating!" wanara Gerram.

"Hold you, Wanara!" the old woman walked over to Wanara.

Wanara could no longer bear his anger. The monkey tore apart Farah's skin, until the man who was made into the collision again felt a great itching all over his body. Farah scratched her hands and neck while screaming in pain.

This situation makes it easier for Arini to further corner Mr. Risman. Pretending to feel sorry for his nephew, he rubbed Farah's body. Her face was frantic, trying to make Farah believe her words.

"Eatya, you do not throw sesajen carelessly. It could be that the silhouette was eating the offerings," said Arini rubbing Farah's arm.

"Please help me, Auntie. I don't have to itch anymore" whined Farah while scratching her back.

Arini looked intently at Mr. Risman and Ms. Inah, then said, "You dodge what you look like when you're like this?"

"But we have never done anything, Ms. Arini. We also do not know who put the offerings," said Bu Inah defending himself.

"Already! It's just free for you guys to sneeze. The proof is there! Right now, you guys get out of here!" hardik Farah's.

"I beg you, Mom. Don't drive us out. Give us some time to prove that we're not doing anything bad to Mom," Ms. Inah's request rested before Farah.

"What else do you want to show me, Mom? Enough already! Now pack your things and get out of here! Don't wait for Mas Hilman to come home!" snapped Farah while pointing towards the door.

"Mom, I beg you, ma'am," asked Bu Inah with teary eyes.

Farah did not pay attention to Ms. Inah's plea. Together with Arini, he left the pavilion while carrying an itch and heaviness on his back. Meanwhile, Mr. Risman could not dwell to see his wife crying bitterly for his actions.

Ms. Inah leaned against the wall, her cries getting louder. Inexhaustible thought she on the behavior of her husband, to have to hurt himself by banging his head repeatedly. Truly, the woman could not if she had to return to her former life, which was very difficult and full of insults.

Feeling compassion for Ms. Inah, Mr. Risman sat down, then rubbed his wife's shoulder. "Already, Mom. Just let it go."

"How can you take it, sir? If you do not claim to have toppled Bu Farah, we will not be expelled. Actually this Father why, anyway, to do this ridiculous?"

"S-initially Mr ... B-Bapak pity Mr. Hilman, Mom. His efforts are declining. You don't want to keep burdening him."

Ms. Inah turned to Mr. Risman and stared intently. "What's? Poor fellow? Overburden? Tell me, Mama, sir! Who needs to be pitied? Poor people or rich people? So, you're saying we're burdening Mr Hilman? Try to mention, next to where we burden Mr. Hilman! We're here to work, sir, not just to stay! It is natural to get wages from the results of our sweat to organize their homes. Even if Mr. Hilman feels burdened, let him decide if we stay here or not. He brought us here himself. Not even doing something silly like this!"

"I'm sorry, Mom. You can't bear to hear the difficulties that Mr. Hilman is facing right now."

"From the beginning, my father was very naive. In the past when we first found Sukma, Mr. instead gave money given by Mr. Hilman to Pak Subekti. Even though you also know, right, Mr. Subekti is cursory? Boro-boro returned the loan money, just billed he was even more fierce than the debt."

"Already, Mom. Don't mention the old problems."

"It's the truth, right?"

"But the situation is different now, ma'am. Earlier, Ms. Arini gave us money to connect living expenses after leaving here. Don't be sad anymore, yeah."

Hearing her husband's words, Ms. Inah was not necessarily happy about it. He suspected that Arini could not give money for free. He looked at Mr. Risman again questioningly.

"She had no other choice, Mom. I feel sorry for Mom, and so does Atikah. You guys like to complain about wanting to get out of here because you can't be insulted and continue to be with Ms. Farah."

"But this is not the way either, sir," said Ms. Inah, then exhaled heavily. "You know, what are the people out there going to say after we get out of here? We will be accused of committing idolatrous and heinous acts on Mr. Hilman's family, sir! I really can't bear this much disgrace. Even if one day we manage to open a business in an honest way, people will still think we are rich because of the help of the genie."

Long enough Mr. Risman pensively imagined all the bad things that would happen to him later. However, moments later Mr. Risman got an idea. "That's it, Mom. We go to far away places, where people didn't know us before. That way, you do not need to feel embarrassed because you bear the disgrace caused by the Father," he said.

"Whatever you are, Dad. While waiting for the children to come home, now pack our things. I hope all of this doesn't drag on. I can't bear it, sir, to be accused of idolatry with someone else. And all this time we have only made God the back of life."

...****************...

Returning home from school, Sukma carried a sullen look on her face. It seems that he was upset that he was not picked up by his mother. While kicking the pebbles, the little girl entered the front yard of Hilman's house. When he spread his eyes around, he was surprised to see Farah scratching her body on the balcony. Not only that, Sukma was surprised to find Wanara was biting Farah's hand.

Soon Sukma ran into Hilman's house. He stepped one by one, until he finally arrived on the second floor. It looks like Farah is screaming in pain and complaining that her itching is getting worse. Wanara, who was still upset because her food was damaged, was still reluctant to let go of her bite.

"Oh my goodness, Wanara! Hands off Aunt Farah!" sukma shouted towards the monkey demon while holding a banana in her hand. "I brought you a banana!"

Realizing Sukma's presence in her home, Farah turned her back while grimacing. He tried to get the little girl out of the balcony, but the itching on his body was like not allowing to yell at Sukma.

Meanwhile, Sukma was furious to see Wanara disobeying his orders. Soon the little girl pulled Wanara's tail, then pulled her away from Farah. The ape demon jumped up and down wanting to hurt Farah even more. However, Sukma's hand grips on his tail, making it difficult for him to wart.

"You don't be naughty, Wanara! Look, Aunt Farah is in pain! I told you, right, your food is bananas, not people!" cerocos Sukma, then hit Wanara's head with a banana.

"Ampun, Sukma. I was annoyed at that woman for ruining my food," Wanara explained in a choked voice as she stroked her head.

"That's it, not a lot of excuses! Now come with me home. I've brought you a lot of bananas."

"banana? Funny!" exclaim Wanara jumping up and down in excitement.

Without saying goodbye to Farah, Sukma went down the stairs while holding Wanara's tail. Farah who saw Sukma's strange behavior, increasingly convinced that Pak Risman's family did embrace black magic. However, on the other hand, the itching in his body was getting less and less, causing doubts in his mind.

After Sukma left, Arini came to the second floor with an herbal drink. Farah who was pensively looking at Sukma returned to the pavilion, was immediately stunned to realize her aunt was already standing nearby.

"Who are you, Farah? Sukma?" ask Arini.

"Tante, I'm surprised by the kid. It was useless to come here while calling out the name 'Wanara' that. But after he left, the itching in my body suddenly disappeared, huh?"

Arini was stunned to hear Farah's words. His concern for Sukma grew even more, especially when he saw the doubt on his nephew's face. However, Arini does not want Sukma to stay at Hilman's residence. He got the idea to incite Farah to stick to his stance of expelling Pak Risman's family.

"His name is also the son of Satanists. I think he can see the stealth of his father's shipment. That's why you can take that demon at any time."

"That, yeah. Auntie know where that is?"

Arini was getting nervous. "T-Attante ... Aunty likes the horrors of the surrounding residents about the family that adores the devil," he explained stammering. "Ah, forget it. Aunty made you this drink. Who knows if it's diminished."

Farah obeyed Arini, then drank the herbal drink. A warm feeling in the throat, made Farah gulp it again until the toilet. Arini was relieved to see Farah who was not scratching her body anymore.

Meanwhile, Sukma who had just arrived at the pavilion, was astonished to see his two parents were wrapping up some items and clothes. While bringing Wanara inside, he approached his mother who was reluctant to put clothes into a large bag.

"Where are we going, Mom? How were his clothes put in the bag? Ah, we're gonna take a walk. Aye, right?" ask Sukma with sparkling eyes.

Unable to show sadness in front of the youngest, Bu Inah remained unmoved. He took the clothes out of the closet and put them in his bag.

Shortly after, Mr. Risman came from the kitchen with a cardboard box filled with goods. Sukma was increasingly surprised to see his father carrying such a large cardboard, especially when looking into an empty kitchen.

"Sir, would you like to get stuff from the kitchen? How come the streets even bring all the stuff from here?" ask Sukma.

"We're all going to move, Deck," replied Mr. Risman briefly.

"Moved? Where to?"

"To a place far away from here."

"Oh. Then, shall we come back here again?"

"No, Deck. We'll never be here again" said Ms. Inah.

"Well, what is it?"

"Instead of asking a lot of questions, mendingan Dedek help me settle his things."

Sukma who is still pouting, forced to take his toys and pack them into a bag. Even with Mr. Risman and Ms. Inah, continuing his activities to clean up the goods. Occasionally Sukma spread the view around the room. How heavy his heart would be if he had to leave the place he grew up with the beautiful memories in it.

Towards the zuhur, Pak Risman's family had finished cleaning up his belongings. Atikah who had just returned from school, frowned looking at Mr. Risman took out a bag and cardboard to the terrace of the pavilion. Soon he ran to his place of residence, meeting his father.

Just like her sister, Atikah asked questions about their move. Mr. Risman also answered the same thing to the firstborn, that they would go to a very far place. From inside the pavilion, Bu Inah came out with Sukma while carrying a bag containing clothes. Followed by Wanara who has been following her sister ever since.

"Come, let's go now!" invite Bu Inah to a lethargic tone.

Atikah gulped as she stared at Wanara walking behind Sukma. A moment later, he was stunned and carried one of the bags he thought was lightly carried. Gontai, the little family left the pavilion full of memories he had lived in for years.

Their departure seemed ignored by other employees at the Hilman residence. Bi Reni and the security guard who became co-workers Pak Risman and Bu Inah, as if reluctant to say goodbye after knowing that the family sent the genie to finish off his employer. They continued to work as if nothing had happened there.

Before coming out of the gate, Farah and Arini approached them. Both of them seemed happy to see Mr. Risman's family obeying his orders.

"Go and don't come back! We are not willing to accept Satanists who want to finish off their own masters" Farah said haughtily.

"Devil?" Sukma pensively glanced at Wanara beside him. "Wanara, it's not the guy who sent you that was Aunt Farah's shaman, is it?"

Wanara.

"Tante Farah, his monkey said that he was sent with the shaman of his friend Aunt," said Sukma loudly.

Bu Inah does not want the problem to be long because of Sukma. Without much pleasantry, he pulled his daughter's body, then sauntered away. So did Mr. Risman, who was already ashamed of his own actions. Farah returned to her home leisurely, feeling the weight that had been stuck in her chest for a long time, instantly disappearing today.

Mr. Risman's family finally came out of Hilman's residence. They don't look back. It hurts if you have to remember the bitter expulsion experienced today. However, they did not leave easily. The youngest suddenly turned around and shouted when he saw his beloved monkey pulled by a thread from behind.

"Wanara! Wanara! Don't go!" sukma shouted running, then pulled the hand of the monkey demon.

Atikah was surprised to see his sister pull the great ape. His body was instantaneously sculpted as the monkey screamed in pain as a result of the winding of the cloth around his neck. Not only that, from a distance Atikah saw an old man pulling a cloth wrapped around Wanara from behind a tree.
