"Where are you going, Albi?" asked Farah out of her room.
"I want to teach, Ma," replied Albi hurriedly into his room.
Farah held her son's hand before entering the room. He looked at Albi with annoyance and said, "What are you going to teach for? Aren't you tired after tutoring all day?"
"No, Ma. Instead, I'm excited to demand new knowledge, especially if I meet new friends."
"Ah, you are this. No need to go to study with Atikah, later Mama teachin after finishing taking care of the foundation data."
From the living room, Hilman came to them. Hearing the conversation between Farah and Albi, the man felt annoyed. In haste, he walked over and began to cut off the conversation.
"What's? Albi wants to teach? What's wrong with him going to college? Just let him go, Farah," said Hilman.
"But I don't like it when he goes with Atikah" Farah said.
"What's wrong, anyway, he went to teach Atikah?" hilman asked no less irritated, then looked at Albi. "Already, Albi. If you want to go to school, go. Pray that you will be a godly child."
"Really, Pa? Papa isn't mad when I go to school?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"Gaziness!" Albi jumped up in excitement. "Then, I change clothes and keep going to teach."
In a hurry, Albi walked into the room to change clothes. The choice of a suit of cocoa clothes that was used when Lebaran last year. Not to forget, he also wears a peci and carries a bag containing one notebook. Once ready, the boy rushed to Atikah who was waiting outside.
Meanwhile, Hilman takes Farah to the room. For him, it is not good if the debate because of trivial problems until it is heard by people throughout the house. Especially if it was heard by Bi Reni. It is possible that people as complex as know about the trivial problem between Hilman and Farah.
"This papa, why even ngebelain Albi, anyway? Papa knows that I don't like it when he's close to the poor" Farah grumbled as she sat on the edge of the bed.
"You want poor or rich friends of Albi, as long as they carry a positive influence, let it be. After all, what's wrong with Albi studying religion with Atikah and his friends?"
"But, Pa. We are different classes from the poor."
"Here you go, don't talk about social class anymore! Anyone deserves an education. You know, we've never taught Albi religious education. Never mind teaching, prayer never."
"But I can teach him all I can. At least I've prayed."
"Recent prayers, but it was a long time ago" said Hilman ketus. "Albi should be taught by the right people and have better knowledge than us. I don't want to, yes, if Albi becomes a rebel because of studying religion."
Farah silently looked cynically at her husband. Hilman who was too tired to take care of the work at the factory, took a towel and went to the bathroom to calm down for a moment. Farah's attitude that has not changed since the arrival of Pak Risman's family, made Hilman furious. It is difficult to get calm after work, if Farah continues to nag while vilifying people who have helped her take care of the house all this time.
In front of the mosque, Atikah and Albi met with his friends. Some of Atikah's friends began to get acquainted with the son of Hilman. Their friendly attitude makes Albi adaptable to new environments.
While Albi gathered with some male friends, Atikah put the bag in the madrasah area. Intan and Ani approached him, then sat down beside Atikah.
"Eh, Atikah. I didn't see your sister from this afternoon. Where the hell is he?" tanya Intan was curious.
"He's sick again. Since the hair cut this morning, Sukma Deck suddenly fever. So just rest at home" explained Atikah.
Atikah put her shoulders down and said, "I don't know either. Earlier this morning Sukma Deck cried fitting cut hair. He said it felt like his hair was pulled, but Mom did not pull it at all."
"Can't do that, huh?" tanya Intan was astonished.
"In addition, your sister also likes to scream for herself through her achem tree, Mr. Pandu. His face was like that, ", said Ani.
Amidst their talk, Ms. Rahma, the teacher who teaches children today, came to the madrasah area. Inadvertently the glasses woman heard the conversation of the three little girls who were sitting around. His gaze was directed at Atikah, as if he wanted to ask something.
"You guys are here apparently. Better wudu first, soon azan magrib," said Bu Rahma, then looked at Atikah. "Yes, Atikah, why is the Sukma Deck today not teaching?"
"Dek Sukma has a fever from this morning, ma'am. Since the hair cut, his body became hot. The fever had not subsided" Atikah explained.
"Oh, so, yeah. Too bad. He began to read the Qur'an."
"Yes, Mom."
"Well, does Sukma like to be taught to read or memorize short letters at home?"
"Yes, Mom. Our mother taught Dek Sukma every night, but my sister had trouble memorizing it. If you read and write hijaiyah, he's already good."
"Oh, yeah. Now you can go ablution. Thanks for the info, yeah."
"Together, Mom."
Azan magrib reverberated, people began to enter the mosque for congregational prayer. Albi who can not yet wudu, participate see the movement of his friends wudu. For now he can only imitate while trying to learn. Atikah and his friends were sitting in the back row of the male lab. After iqamat, they performed the Magrib prayer.
Meanwhile in the pavilion, Sukma's state began to improve as his mother read the Qur'an. As busy as Bu Inah works, still had time to read the scriptures. Sukma looked at his mother for a while, watching her carefully.
"Mom, teach me to pay dong again," pinta Sukma.
"alright. We start with Al-Fatihah's letter, yes."
Sukma. Although he always had trouble memorizing short letters, he never gave up learning them. Bu Inah approached Sukma, then began his memorization with ta'awudz.
"Mom, why wear ta'awudz first, anyway? My tongue feels stiff every read of it," complained Sukma with a clear face.
"It's okay, just try it first, Dek."
Sukma began to recite ta'awudz as his mother had taught him. Her tiny lips seemed to tremble, her tongue suddenly twisted. Closing her eyes tightly, the little girl let out a deep breath. When ready to begin his rote, Sukma opened his mouth.
"A'uzubillah .. h-himi .. himinasy .. sy-syait .. ah, I still can't, ma'am."
"Try again, dear. Comeing! A'uzubillahiminasysyaithonirrojiim."
Sukma tried it again, but his tongue was suddenly twisted. His throat was so dry that Ms. Inah brought him some water to drink. After drinking, Sukma recites ta'awuz again. He did not know that his mouth was not made to recite the scriptures and praise the name of the Lord. Nevertheless, Bu Inah always patiently helped his daughter to get out of the difficulty of memorizing the verses of the Qur'an.
