SUKMA: The Deal With the Devil

SUKMA: The Deal With the Devil
Vengeance

Farah felt sleepy after tasting the yellow rice that Ratna brought. His eyes quickly closed, his sleep immediately sound. In his dream, he was in a dim room. The stench of foul smell invades his sense of smell. Sometimes the woman felt nauseous, to vomit blood. Faintly, there were some maggots writhing among the blood of his vomit marks.

How surprised Farah was to see the former vomit. Panicked, he slowly retreated, then ran to find a way out. After running far enough away, a dim room that he had just visited, turned into a dense foggy forest. Very little sunlight shone through the forest, to the point that Farah had to shake off the fog before her.

The further Farah walked, the more tense the atmosphere of the forest. His hair was goosebumps, especially when he found a black shadow flashing between the trees. For a moment, Farah who was trembling in fear pulled over to one of the trees. He spread his gaze, until the sound of apes came closer to him.

From a distance, a group of apes vaguely ran towards him. Farah panicked, then moved from her place to pull over. As quickly as possible he ran away from the pursuit of the apes. Unfortunately, the running speed actually slowed down when the monkeys approached. He also fell down, until it was difficult to stand up.

"Please, don't hurt me! Don't hurt me!" agonizing Farah, crossing both hands, tried to shake off the creepy-faced apes that were about to attack him.

The more the apes approached, Farah's cry sounded shrill. Luckily, the animals did not attack Farah and just passed by. However, after a few seconds of silence, the ground that Farah stepped on shook. The woman panicked even more, but her legs could not be moved at all.

From behind the fog, there is a shadow of a giant monkey. The sound of her laughter was so loud, it made Farah's entire body relax. The ape walked slowly towards him and his form was becoming clearer and clearer. It was none other than the big, bushy black-haired ape that was cast by Sukma this morning.

Farah's eyes widened as the ape's face drew closer to her, especially as her wide mouth revealed her long fangs. He slowly inched backwards, avoiding the ape's gaze.

"Now you can't go anywhere, Farah. You are a collision for me" said the giant ape.

"T-umbag?! T-no .. I b-not .. b-not your collision," said Farah trembling violently.

"No, no. You're tumbalku. Now come with me! I will make you a slave in my nature" said the ape, then scattered.

"No! I don't want to come with you! Who has destroyed me? Answer!" farah screams, her voice sounds a little choked.

"Friends near you."

Farah was stunned to hear the ape's answer.

"Now come with me" said the ape, trying to catch Farah with his large hand.

Farah tried her hardest to get up. However, his fear had weakened his entire trembling body. He could only shuffle backwards to avoid the ape's grip.

When the monkey was about to catch Farah, he suddenly screamed in pain when he felt someone holding his tail. The monkey stood up, then turned his body. It appeared that a horned girl was standing playing the ape's tail while being crushed.

"Hey! Stop playing my tail, Little Boy!" snatch the ape.

The horned daughter paid no heed to the monkey. He instead ran at Farah while pulling the giant ape's tail.

"Go quickly, Auntie! I want to play with this monkey!" tell the little girl. His two red eyes grew bigger, making Farah even more frightened.

Ever since the little girl's arrival, Farah had suddenly gained the strength to stand up. Soon the woman ran towards the brightest forest. The brighter the forest area, the happier Farah was until she woke up from her sleep.

When Farah's eyes opened, she found Sukma running around in her room. The little girl looked excited, then walked out of Farah's room. When the woman's consciousness was fully gathered, she continued to walk after Sukma. However, he did not like it if his aides went into the room without permission.

In the backyard of Hilman's house, Sukma is busy running around, challenging himself to conquer the monkeys he made into toys since morning. This time, his strength was not too great after his hair was cut. He seemed overwhelmed to control the movements of the ape who jumped to and fro with agility.

"Ih, why can't you be diem, anyway? Come with me! I haven't finished bathing you. You haven't used the same shampoo as soap," said Sukma holding the ape's tail aloud.

"Noooo! Let go of me, English boy!" the ape shouted, continuing to jump up and down to let Sukma release his tail.

"No want! You're so naughty, anyway. I haven't bathed yet, I'm going to eat Aunt Farah's head. You eat bananas, not people!"

Hearing Sukma's words from the kitchen terrace, Farah was flabbergasted and smothered her two mouths. Still warm in his memory about the strange dream he experienced some time ago. About the giant ape, about the little horned girl. Gradually, Farah understood with Sukma's intention to point while saying there was a monkey on his back.

In Farah's devotional, Hilman and Albi come to his surprise. Farah was aghast, then turned to look at her husband and son.

"Papa ngagetin only," said Farah widened her eyes.

"You're daydreaming, anyway. What else do you think?" asked Hilman while giggling.

"E-no, Pa. I just thought the same dream this afternoon" Farah explained. "Yes, how's the car promotion? Rame?"

"Yes, that's it. I came to the show for a while, kept playing Albi. It's so exciting, we forget about time."

"Oh." Farah nodded. "Then we eat now. You must be hungry."

"I don't want to eat with Mama" said Albi.

"Well, why don't you?" ask Hilman.

"Mama's body stinks. There is not fullness, but nausea," explained Albi while covering his nose.

"Yes, deh. Mom will eat in the room. You are the same Papa ate in the dining room," suggested Farah trying to be meek.

Albi nodded. He immediately went to the dining room, while Farah and Hilman went to the room. The two entered together, until Hilman was stunned for a moment when a foul smell pierced into his nose. Clearly, it was not an odor that was evoked from Farah's body, but rather a different scent.

"Farah, what's this smell?" ask Hilman.

"I don't kiss anything, Pa."

Hilman kept going. He saw a two-stacking bushel containing yellow rice and side dishes. The man glanced at Farah, then frowned.

"Who's food is that?"

"Oh, that. Ratna came here with food. He said pity me."

"Cock smells bad, huh?"

"Ah, masa, anyway?"

To prove it, Hilman took the container containing the food, then showed it to Farah. The smell was getting louder to the point that Hilman felt nauseous.

"Why, Pa?"

"This is stale food. Still you want to eat this," grumbled Hilman, then ran towards the kitchen while calling Bu Inah.

Meanwhile, Farah was still stunned at Hilman's strange demeanor. He swore, when he tasted the food, it tasted so good. However, his heart wondered, how could the food that was eaten some time ago be quickly stale?

In the kitchen, Ms. Inah fulfilled Hilman's call. The receipt of rantang contains Ratna's food. Just like Hilman, Ms. Inah couldn't stand the unpleasant smell of the food.

"Mom, throw away this food as soon as possible, before the smell spreads everywhere" Hilman said.

Ms. Inah nodded and immediately brought the food out. Sukma who was busy playing with an ape sent by his shaman Ratna, suddenly ran to his mother when he saw a bushel.

"Mother! Where are you going to take that bushel?" tanya Sukma pointed at the container containing stale yellow rice in her mother's hand.

"You want to throw it away. Didn't Dedek smell this food?"

In the middle of their conversation, the ape sniffed the smell of the bushel that Bu Inah had brought. Sukma turned to the monkey and realized that the animal he had just kept wanted Ratna's food.

"Yes" replied the ape, nodding and sticking out his tongue.

Sukma took the bushel from Bu Inah's hand, then left without saying goodbye.

"Dedek! Where are you going to take that bushel? Quickly return it here!" yelled Miss Inah.

"Dedek wants to feed the monkey. Poor thing, the monkey's starving."

Not far from the back porch of the kitchen, Sukma spilled the food he had brought. The monkey looked excited, then ate the yellow rice with the side dish greedily. Sukma who saw the macaques' gluttony clapped and laughed.

"Well, that's dong. Your food is like this, not Aunt Farah's head" he said in a loud, crisp voice.

For a moment, Ms. Inah was stunned to hear the words of her youngest daughter. He saw the child who was squatting in the backyard while occasionally moving his hands like he was stroking something in front of him. Bu Inah frowned, his little heart began to wonder about the money ape meant by the youngest. However, once again the middle-aged woman dismissed all the assumptions that did not enter her mind. He walked into the kitchen and did his job again.

In the backyard of Hilman's house, Sukma still smiles to see the monkey eating voraciously. According to him, this animal has been subdued after being fed. Curious about the origin of the monkey, Sukma began to invite him to a conversation.

"Hey, Monkey. What's your name? Where did you come from?"

"Vanara. I come from a mountain that is far away from here" he replied as he chewed his food.

"Vanara? Wow ... what a name! But, why are you here? Not where you live in the mountains, huh?"

"I was told to come here by Mbah Suro to take the life of a woman named Farah as a victim."

"Oh. Why did he tell you to take Aunt Farah's life?"

"I need a slave in my kingdom, so take Farah's life."

"Oh, yeah. But, why take the life of Aunt Farah? What is Aunt Farah doing?"

The monkey no longer answered Sukma's question. He was too busy eating his food.

From the pavilion, Atikah approached Sukma. Since then he felt astonished by the attitude of his sister who suddenly ran away. When he was near the sister, Atikah crouched down and noticed Sukma's behavior.

"Why are you talking again?" tanya Atikah looked at Sukma.

"Feed the monkey, Tea. Her name is Wanara."

"Ah, you are there."

"I'm not making it up, Tea. Want to see how the monkey is?"

Atikah.

"OKAY. Now close your eyes, yeah."

Atikah according. Sukma placed both palms on the eyelids of the brother while prying. After finishing chanting the spell, the little girl patted both Atikah's shoulders and told him to open his eyes.

Slowly, Atikah opened her eyes. At first, the ape shadow before him was faintly visible. However, the clearer the vision, the more clear the appearance of ape in his eyes. Atikah gasped, then inched back from where he was crouching.

"What's up, Tea?" ask Sukma while grinning.

"M-monkey .. m-monkey is so big, Dek!"

"Now God believes, right? Dedek again feeding the monkey."

After eating, Wanara rubbed the leftovers in her mouth, then licked her fingers. His head lifted, looked at Sukma and thanked him. Not to forget, he also shouts at Atikah, as a greeting introduction.

After all, Atikah was getting scared. Trembling, he moved closer to his sister. Rushing he ran to the pavilion while shouting as loudly as possible, then entered and locked the door. But he was not entirely calm. His ears could hear something strange, as well as his eyes, seeing an old woman crawling out of his room.

Atikah's breath is hunting. He decided to stay on the porch of the pavilion until his parents came for lunch.

...****************...

The dim atmosphere is very thick when entering the residence of Mbah Suro. The house is big, but not as grand as Hilman's. When stepping on the living room of the seventy-year-old man, my hair will creep instantly, feeling the cold crackling, piercing the bones.

In a hurry, Ratna met Mbah Suro who was sitting on the porch chair of her house while sipping a hank. Without excuse, he sat down in the chair next to the old man, then immediately expressed the intention of his arrival. Of course, Ranta's attitude made the old man dressed in serbahitam furious.

"It's a good idea to sit next to me without saying hello!" mbah Suro snapped with his deep and heavy voice.

"Forget, Mbah. I was panicking," Ratna said.

Seeing the anxiety on Ratna's face, Mbah Suro moved from his seat. Then the old man took Ratna into the living room. The smell of incense pierced Ratna's nose and made her cough.

After encouraging his client to sit down, Mbah Suro began to open talks. "What do you need to do to come here?"

"Look, Mbah. This morning I have carried out the task that Mbah ordered to finish off my enemy" Ratna said.

"Then, what's the problem until you seem so scared?"

"So, there's a little boy there. Name's Sukma. He's the same as me, the food for Farah or the monkey. I'm afraid, I mean to harm Farah known to the boy."

"Hm, okay."

Mbah Suro sighed, then closed his eyes while crossing. In his laughter, he saw the incident that Ratna had experienced this morning. The form of a child that Ratna refers to, is none other than a horned girl with long hair and dreadlocks. Mbah Suro was surprised to see the incarnation of the terrible creature Ratna found, until his body shuddered.

"What's up, Mbah?"

Mbah Suro did not answer. His talk of Sukma continues. He saw the little girl pulling the tail of her ally's ape demon. Not only that, the ape demon bowed before Sukma and could not fight at all.

Finished laughing, Mbah Suro exhaled and opened his eyes. He saw Ratna sharply, then looked down lethargic. Ratna who was curious, started asking again.

"Why, Mbah? Is there something strange about that kid?" ask Ratna impatiently.

"He's not an ordinary kid. It's worth seeing my genie," said Mbah Suro flat-pitched.

"What?! So, he's an indigo kid?"

"That's not all. He's the devil's son."

Ratna was astonished to hear the words of her shaman. Increasingly panicked, he thought hard so that his revenge still carried out.

"Then, what should I do?"

Mbah Suro looked far away. From his eyes was a terrible event that he did not expect at all. "It looks like it's going to be difficult. Very difficult," he murmured.
