"Finally, we arrived at the first village after passing through the forest," Aksa said as we made it out of the forest.
"Aren't your words very strange, Aksa. Is this really a village?" I asked while frowning.
"really. This is a village called Kaswari Village. However, unfortunately the government has taken everything so that this once crowded village becomes a very quiet village."
Our eyes circled around looking at the ravaged condition of the village.
"Princess Camelia has taken everything from the people. Our dwellings, our resources, everything." Aksa suddenly had a sad face.
"Maybe we should be more careful from now on. I remember what you said, Aksa. All the territory on this land already belonged to the kingdom, meaning that the royal soldiers watched over every village and the cropping fields."
"Yes, right. We have to be careful."
"Some one's coming!" prince Kalandra.
Fortunately, there was a big tree so we could hide and find out who came to the village.
Shortly thereafter, about three men on horses were seen walking into the deserted and messy residential area. Almost all the buildings collapsed until there was nothing left. The animals were starved because they were not removed from the cage. All of that was visible from the tree we were hiding in.
It turned out that not only them, but after that there was a horse carriage escorted by dozens of royal soldiers.
I try to look further. Behind the horse-drawn carriage were dozens of people bound in chains forming long rows. Someone got out of the carriage, then headed for the men and women who looked like captives in the very back row.
It is clearly slavery. However, I don't know what they'll do to those people who look that shabby. When my eyes were too focused on dozens of captives, I remembered an incident when I was kidnapped and almost sold. Perhaps the case is a little different, but there is no doubt that those people will definitely be treated in an inhumane manner. They are humans who are as heartless as the palace dogs of Baltra.
"They are people from the kingdom. And the people marching there are the natives of this village." Aksa.
"Why were they brought to this village again?" my many.
"They will be executed."
I'm glaring. Instantly the faces of the captives haunted the mind. It was obviously sad because their lives were cruelly snatched away. The people of that kingdom really like to consider themselves a God who wants to control everything.
"What should we do?" ask me with a blank look.
"There's nothing we can do. This is how things are in every village. Those who refuse to work as palace dogs will die. Those who accept are treated arbitrarily will live, but useless because there is no freedom anymore. Their lives depend on those of the kingdom."
I closed my eyes, and suddenly a single tear seemed to wash over my cheek. After opening his eyes and wanting to ask Mr. Mahawira, he suddenly did not exist.
I chuckle. "Where is Mr Mahawira?!" I asked the two princes who were beside me.
"By side—"
Mr. Birendra's eyes are rounded. The two princes also could not believe that Mr. Mahawira had disappeared from when.
I looked towards the captives and the people from the kingdom. Mr. Mahawira looks relaxed. However, more surprisingly, the man did not think it would attack the soldiers until there was a commotion. Of course, dozens of soldiers surrounded the man and carried out all attacks.
"Fucking mahawira!" aspat Prince Kalandra who looks very upset with the actions of the man. "We have to intervene too."
Mr. Birendra nodded, then the two followed Mr. Mahawira and helped him to attack the soldiers of the Simaseba Kingdom.
Aksa's hand on the tree I saw shaking. I alternated looking at his face. Fear has enveloped Aksa. However, somehow I also saw a spirit flame in his eyes despite being so small.
I know Aksa is eager to help and be useful to others, but unfortunately he may not be able to fight negative feelings in the mind.
I held Aksa's hand, then said to her, "Don't be afraid. The three of them will not be defeated."
"Go away. Help 'em. I'm sure if you were there, your fear would slowly disappear. I know there's still fire of spirit and courage in your eyes, Aksa."
I widened my smile at Aksa because I remembered the wise words of Mr. Mahawira.
"Do you remember what Mr Mahawira said? At least if you die fighting for something, your life is not in vain."
Aksa's gaze suddenly changed. The flames burning in his eyes grew more and more turbulent and enlarged. He exhaled a long breath, then slapped both cheeks very hard.
"I am a real man. I might lose to them. I have to be brave!" said. Aksa was so determined to make his choice. His heart was truly moved to do something rather than have to submit to accepting destiny as a loser.
Gawat, I have fallen in love for the umpteenth time, of course to my lord—Mahawira. The man had been able to make a weak person into a brave one who sacrificed his own life for the safety of many.
Even so, not only are they men. I also have to help because I currently have martial skills.
I joined the fight among the tough guys. We have a noble goal, so I'm pretty sure God will make things easier. Although there will be difficulties, but it is precisely that that will make us more proficient and ignite the axis of spirit to the turbulent so as not to give up.
Dozens of soldiers have been successfully paralysed. However, there were still three people from the kingdom who looked formidable. The three men who first arrived in the village using horses, they could not be underestimated.
"Who are you?!" ask the man with the thick black coat.
"You don't need to know. All you need to know is, you need to free these people!" answer Mr. Mahawira.
Two men circulated a glance, looking at the soldiers who had been defeated in an instant.
"You are good too."
The man in the black coat took out two swords from his scabbard, then led Mr. Mahawira in the fight. While the other two men who both look tough like enemies facing my master, against two princes who are not inferior have high-level abilities.
"Aksa! Come on, let's free the people first."
Aksa nodded, then followed myself into the ranks of the captives. Aksa checked the chains that bound them, then thought of a way to open them.
"It's going to be hard, but it looks like I can outsmart it." Soon Aksa took a sword from the lifeless warrior, then attempted to use it to force the chain apart from the horse carriage.
"Wine. We need at least a small sword or knife. Do you have any of that?"
"There was. A moment."
Before leaving with Mr. Mahawira, I did prepare a few things, including emergency weapons that I could use in case something unexpected happened. Who would have thought that the little thing I brought would be useful in times like these.
I gave A small knife the size of an index finger to Aksa which he then used to force an iron bracelet that shackled the hands and feet of the captives.
"Hopefully, hopefully, I can" I said in my heart.
Being too focused with Aksa's hands, I really didn't pay attention around. I'm breathless.
A hand held Aksa's hand, instantly making me turn. I slowly raised my head and looked at the owner of the hand. My stomach was hit with his left hand until it crashed and collapsed.
"CORNELLIE!"
