Sir, Don't You Sick Me!

Sir, Don't You Sick Me!
Travel to Batalia

My dream last night was very bad. How could Mr Mahawira not want to stay with me and choose to forget our love? I was so scared if that happened.

"Daughter, wakeup. I made you some tea. Come out" said the grandfather.

I yawned and stretched my hands to start this morning's activity. After that, I came out of a small room that actually belonged to the grandfather. I am so grateful to have met this grandfather. If not, I don't know what my fate would be.

Immediately I lifted a bamboo glass containing warm tea made by the grandfather. I snuck a few times. He also prepared a sweet potato for me. That's fair. I quickly swept.

"Today, I'll start training you."

"Why should I learn martial arts? I really don't feel right studying it, Cake."

"It's been a promise I've had to keep to your father. I promised I'd train you one day if I met. And now, you're here. I'll drop all my martial arts on you."

I nodded a few times, then sipped back the tea to the toilet.

"I still didn't expect that my existence arriving at this place had been arranged by Father."

"You don't have to believe. What matters now is that I'll train you until you're an expert."

"But, what about Father, Mother, Prince Kalandra, and Mr Birendra? I just left them at a time when the atmosphere was precarious."

"Don't think about it. Your father's brothers won't dare do anything to them before you're caught."

I narrowed my eyes full of probing. "Before I was caught? What exactly is he planning? Why is it as if I'm the cause of all this mess?"

"Don't think like that. You're like Baltra's most precious pearl, and the plan won't work until it catches you." Grandpa came out of the house. "Now, come. Let's warm up first."

Exhaling a deep breath, I followed what the grandfather ordered.

I lived in the grandfather's rickety hut for a few months, as well as practicing martial arts. That grandfather didn't let me go before mastering the moves he taught me.

He taught me to use a stick, trident, sword, and spear. Not to be arrogant, but I mastered everything that grandfather taught me in just a short time.

All of that is also thanks to a longing that has been passionate about meeting Mr. Mahawira. Not only was that desire motivating, even the desire to save my loved ones from my evil uncle was also a reason to continue practicing without knowing the time.

"Let's attack me, Princess!" the grandfather shouted while putting his hands together behind his back.

I shook my head, and put up the horses. With a sword, I jumped high while shaking the object to get to the grandfather. However, he easily avoided my attack.

Not giving up, I continued to attack with other techniques as well as from different angles. However, I let my guard down from not paying attention to the horses getting weaker. The grandfather only used one leg to kick my defense down.

"Aw! Ouch!" I screamed in pain while trying to get up.

"You can't be careless! You need to be more vigilant! Strengthen your defenses!" Back the grandfather reached out and gave a sign for me to advance once more.

"Yeah!" I raised my weapon up high, then jumped up until I got behind my grandfather.

When trying to attack, he repelled my sharp object with only one hand. Even so, I used my left hand to hit his back. Finally, I can hit the grandfather until I make more energy.

"Good! There's been progress" he said, smiling at me.

---------------------------

"Tomorrow we will go to the Kingdom of Batalia," said the grandfather as he sharpened his sword beside the hut.

"I miss them so much. I hope they're okay."

"Don't worry. Even though your father was under pressure that the palace belonged to his brother, he was a powerful and highly educated man. He's also a smart man."

"I don't even know about my own father. Is it possible that my memory can come back, Cake?"

"Your love could have come back if the witch who was your father's relative was still alive today. He can restore the memories he's already taken."

"But, I'm still curious, Cake. Does it have anything to do with my father?"

"You'll find out soon enough, Princess. I can't tell you much about that. I was just asked by your father to tell me the core of the problems your family is facing."

I exhaled a long breath. "My life is full of puzzles. Not even one of me can solve the puzzle."

"Not to be so thoughtful. Everything is going normal. You'll know sooner or later."

"Then, what should we do if we get to the palace?"

"Of course, our first step is to negotiate. If that's not the way it can be done, then we have to take the path of violence."

----------------

In the morning, I left for the Kingdom of Batalia with my grandfather. He said the palace was not far from where he lived. Only, we had to go through a hill to arrive at the main road.

We took those steep, rocky roads for only about five hours, then arrived at the main road during the day. First of all, the grandfather said he would not go directly to the palace, but first wanted to supervise all activities around him.

"Close your face with the shawl I gave you" Grandpa said, looking down and trying to cover his face with a caping.

Immediately I covered my face using a scarf, from mouth to head, and left a gap only in the eyes. It was seen that some of the royal soldiers were on patrol on the main road.

At first, some of them looked at me and Grandpa suspiciously. The grandfather's steps stopped when he passed the soldiers while still looking down so that his face was not visible.

After they made it past us, Grandpa said, "Come, we continue on."

"Are they soldiers from the Kingdom of Batalia?" ask me while stepping.

"No. Judging from his clothes, they were not warriors from Batalia. Maybe the soldiers from the Kingdom of Artalia will head for Batalia. Looks like Baltra's already starting to monopolize Batalia. Although the Battalion now belonged to him, Baltra did not really want it. He just wants the resources that exist as well as the people" explained the grandfather.

"Please! Help me!"

We stopped because we heard the voice of a woman asking for help. Grandpa focused on finding the origin of the sound.

"It looks like it's from the west, Cake."

With his grandfather hastily stepping back, I followed behind.

Under a large tree, we saw a horse-drawn carriage toppled over. Just so we sped up the pace to check what was happening.

A few meters from the tree, there was a village. It appears that the women were gathered and forced to obey by the soldiers we had previously seen. Soldiers of the Kingdom of Artalia.

"What's going on, Cake?" I whispered while remaining alert while hiding behind a tree.

"As you can see. Baltra has already begun to change the system of the Kingdom of Batalia. His policy will no longer be the same as that of the previous king, that of your father."

"D-in a way of oppressing the weak?"

"Like that. Those in the region of Batalia would be transferred to Artalia, and forcibly employed there. That's how your uncle led the way in his kingdom. Very different from the way your father freed all his people from oppression."

"Can't be left, Cake," I said furiously. My hands clenched tightly, signifying that the actions of the soldiers who treated the women violently stirred up emotions within.

"One thing you need to know, Princess. The Kingdom of Artalia was also in alliance with the Kingdom of Simaseba of Tulip Country."

My eyes looked up, remembering that Mr. Mahawira might be at Princess Camelia's palace. Simaseba Kingdom. Inevitably I had to make a calculation with that arrogant princess.
