"Our village was taken by the Kingdom of Simaseba and served as a territory to expand the palace. The people were arrested, then employed without reward for a development. Children were sold, made into businesses and slaves. While the men who were teenagers were forced to work as soldiers who served the palace."
Aksa, a man who had attacked us some time ago, was a villager from a village that was taken by the Kingdom of Simaseba. So, that is the reason for using the land next to this river as a resting place.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to attack you. I'm just being vigilant. I also thought that you guys were the bad guys from Simaseba," he said with a sad face and bowed.
Mr. Mahawira and I focused on hearing Aksa's story. For myself, what Princess Camelia and her ministers did was an inhumane thing. How could he do the same as Baltra?
Ah, I forgot something that the arrogant princess was an alliance of Baltra. No wonder he was so evil to the people.
"Then, now your village is controlled by Simaseba?" Mr. Mahawira asked as he looked at Aksa.
"so. Some of us ran away and found a safe place to stay. I chose this place because it was safe. Every few days, I went to see the situation in Simaseba. But, only from a distance. The royal soldiers are very strict."
I gave the Boiled Ubis to Aksa because I thought he looked very hungry. Just a hunch. The man accepted it, then he went mad.
"Thank you for the food" Aksa said with a faint smile.
"I think you're one of Princess Camelia's messengers" I said as I stared at the man full of probing.
"Of course not. Any weak man like me becomes his messenger. However, I am also not willing to be his subordinate." Aksa's breath seemed to be restrained. A speck of clear liquid perched on the bead.
"You why?" Mr. Mahawira frowned.
"It was that arrogant daughter that caused my parents' death. It's still very clear in the memory of how he burned our little house down and laughed as my mother and father burned to death." The man's teeth were bluffing. Tears fell onto the Boiled Ubis in his hand.
I listened to Aksa's story. Really cruel. Princess Camelia is not human. He is a human demon.
"just fine. I have long suspected it. Turns out this is what he's hiding from Rosalia." Mr. Mahawira's gaze immediately changed.
"Are all your words accountable?" many ensure.
"If you don't believe me, you can check into my village which they have now destroyed. Even many soldiers stood guard there. Our rights have been taken away by them. Less clear what else?"
"I believe. Your tears won't lie." I'm nodding.
"Look at what I'm gonna do to you, Camelia. I'm gonna sue for everything you took." Mr. Mahawira spoke for himself, but I believe it was an overflow from his innermost heart.
I know Mr. Mahawira hates slavery and oppression. Therefore, if he becomes a leader, surely the people will be free from the shackles of the burden on the kingdom. Moreover, Mr. Mahawira is so generous. He had even asked the King's Majesty to lower the people's tribute deposit to the palace. He also asked the King not to force the people to pay tribute if they had no income.
"The people should be free from all their obligations to the palace. If the people do not prosper, then the kingdom is not called jaya. There is no success for a kingdom without the happiness of its people" said Mr. Mahawira.
"Actually who are you? And what's your purpose for this place?" Aksa may be curious about the figure of Mr. Mahawira because of his words that seem to defend the people.
"I'm just an ordinary person who understands suffering. Yeah, call it that."
I could only shake to hear Mr. Mahawira's reply. He must have had a reason not to want to reveal who he is. I strongly believe Mr. Mahawira does not expect people to acknowledge, know, or be subject to him being a prince of the kingdom.
Aksa nodded at Master Mahawira's reply. However, I see that there is still doubt in the man's mind. He may not believe my master's answer.
"And introduce. She was my future wife" she said suddenly, leaving me dumbfounded and blushing immediately.
"You're lucky." Aksa smiled then.
He seemed to take a deep breath.
"I once had someone precious, just like you. She's the woman I admire most in my village."
"Where is that woman now?"
"He was captured by the palace warriors, then sold and became a slave to the honorable nobles."
"You must be very sad."
"I can't deny it. My heart is broken once. He should have been happy with me, but those palace dog bastards ruined everything."
A few moments quiet. Mr. Mahawira did not take the slightest look away from Aksa's furious face.
"Alright, it's decided," said my lord.
"What's decided, sir?"
"It's decided. Our job is to go to Simaseba to save Aksa's lover."
"What?! Are you crazy? It was the same as suicide!" Aksa was surprised, of course.
"Why? If you love someone, dying is no big deal as a form of sacrifice."
The words of Mr. Mahawira instantly made Aksa gasp. The man looked down then.
"Think about. Love is something holy. Whatever the difficulties ahead are the path to self-worth. At least if you die trying to save the woman, it means you die in right thinking rather than drowning in the mistake of doing nothing.
Silence does not make you have a long life. We are men, we should have sacrificed."
Somehow, maybe for Aksa the words of Mr. Mahawira so penetrated into his heart. It became a hard satire.
"Then, what are you waiting for?"
"I'm not as strong as you. You see for yourself, against your future wife only I lost, let alone against the royal warrior."
"As you know, my future wife is much stronger than that arrogant princess warrior. You certainly have a great chance. Fight on! Don't wait hard, just take action. You have to take action first, then you'll be strong."
Aksa looked pensive. Not even I believe those words came out of Mr. Mahawira's mouth. He's so dashing, real man. So, that's why he also fought desperately for our love?
"Cornelia, let's let him reflect on himself."
Mr. Mahawira pulled my hand away from Aksa. We sat under a big tree.
"Well, Cornelia. How's it feel?"
Understanding what Mr. Mahawira meant, I immediately turned my face away. Maybe my face is red.
"Explain me. What are you feeling?"
"J-don't—"
"I hope you want to add, then I'll give you a much hotter than—"
"Stop!" cut me. "J-do not discuss it again. I—"
"Then." The man leaned his face, so close to mine.
Again my tongue is confused.
"I'll give you something else."
"It feels so good" I said quickly.
"What's? I didn't hear it. Repeat."
"It feels so good."
"I haven't heard it. It's even harder."
"It feels so good!"
"It's been confirmed, you seem to be hooked. Take it easy, I'll give it again tomorrow. If you can't stand it, talk now. I'll give it as long as you want."
I really can't move it made. Mr. Mahawira's eyes are so shady. At the sight of his lips, I don't know if it was still attached when our lips met and he pulverized it so gently.
"I. .. want again and again ...."
Mr. Mahawira grinned.
