My chest was pounding incoherently at the sight of two men staring at each other with Mr. Mahawira. All three are men I respect equally, equally meritorious in my life. I don't want to see them hurt each other. Even so, they had decided to resolve the conflict with the tradition of fighting to the death.
Fighting to the death is a common tradition used in an empire to break up conflicts between two or more people if the talks do not find the right solution. Unfortunately, today one of them had to die in this fight.
Mr. Mahawira's gaze was sharp as usual when looking at enemies who could not be underestimated his ability. Of course, Mr. Birendra and Prince Kalandra were also fiery.
"Yeahattt!"
The three men shouted. Mr. Mahawira did not wait for the attack of the two princes, but he picked up their attack. However, the difference in strength had occurred.
When I focused my eyes on the fight, Mr. Mahawira was far superior. He repulsed the two princes with great ease. However, the two princes were only in a defensive position without any meaningful attacks.
Mr. Birendra and Prince Kalandra already looked exhausted with heavy breathing. While Mr. Mahawira is getting fiery.
"What's up, Birendra, Kalandra? Do you want to give up? It's a fight to the death, you have to remember. If you give up, it means your head is mine."
Very unbearable to me. From now on, I held back the sadness that wanted to slide from the netra. Now I can no longer hold it, for the levee has been broken. Water flowed without me stopping.
The three men were staring question marks at me.
"You shouldn't break up a friendship just because of a misunderstanding. You think death fighting is cool?" While staring at the three, I tried to wipe away the tears, still unable to. "Mr Mahawira. I'm disappointed in you. In fact, you can explain everything with a cold head. But, why do you insist on solving everything with death? You think that's a life? You think you live that roof?"
"C-Cornelia—"
"Don't say anything, sir. You really have disappointed me. I thought you were affectionate, but it wasn't what I thought." I nodded my head while the tears were still flowing, as my will grew louder.
I accidentally held a necklace of green gems hanging from my neck. Suddenly it reminded me of the words of Ki Cakra. I clasped it even tighter and hoped Ki Cakra would come to stop the three men's fight.
"For this time, I'm sorry, Cornelia. Nothing can stop this fight."
Mr. Mahawira seems to be back on the move. The three swords bit each other, clanking crazily creating splashes. I am getting so full of deep sadness.
When he was ten years old, Mr. Mahawira once told me about the two princes he was fighting desperately. He considered the two as his own brothers even though at that time they never again played to Rosalia because of the actions of Mr. Mahawira who defended me.
I only regret their bond that has been established for so long, but broken so easily just because of a misunderstanding. Isn't that ridiculous? A long-standing bond should never be broken because of their ignorance in thought and action. They are men who rely on emotions.
When I wasn't too close to Mr. Mahawira when I was eight, I always saw him playing around with two princes. I remember how their smiles were so beautiful. I remember how their laughter made me jealous. When they laughed happily, colored each other the day together, I was just a lonely girl that no one ever wanted.
Remembering those times made me forget about the ongoing fight. However, it was strange that the swords that bit each other were no longer heard.
I raised my head, then saw Ki Cakra catching their weapons by being in the middle of both sides.
"A futile fight will only make you fall into the pit of regret. End it all before it's too late."
"Why should I end it all?"
"You two, listen. Mahawira's father never came to your palace just to kill his own best friend. This is just a trick from Camelia."
Mr. Birendra and Prince Kalandra stared at each other, then slowly they drew the sword. Clearly, their foreheads were furrowed as they did not yet fully believe in the explanation of the Ki Cakra.
"Mahawira and Cornelia head to Simaseba to rescue King Rosalia. So, you can draw your own conclusions. How could a kidnapped king and his soldiers commit treason against the kingdom of the alliance? It's impossible, isn't it? And now, I leave everything to the three of you. Finish it well or fight to the death and regret it for life."
Ki Cakra instantly disappeared from before all of us. He is a powerful witch. It is only fitting that Mr. Mahawira became so tough because he was trained by him.
"What does your teacher mean? Is that right, you're aiming to go to Simaseba to rescue the King who Camelia kidnapped?" Mr. Birendra is continuing the conversation.
Because Mr. Mahawira did not want to answer, I got up while removing the traces of tears on the face and netra.
"I've already said that we can resolve this misunderstanding with a cool head. There is nothing wrong with Mr. Birendra, Prince Kalandra, and Mr. Mahawira. What's wrong is your reckless actions." I'm approaching them. It seems like Mr. Mahawira is still so reluctant to look at his two best friends.
"Mr Mahawira, I beg you to explain everything and make things right."
"Master, it's not them who slandered the King, but I'm sure there's someone behind all this."
"Who?"
"Of course, Mr. Birendra and Prince Kalandra had to re-examine the people in the palace. I don't want to guess. What is clear is that the King will never do anything like murder. I know the King very well. He's a very man and always solves all problems with conversation."
Prince Kalandra bowed, as did Mr. Birendra.
"Cornelia's right. I'm going to Simaseba to save my father. It's likely that your people have been successfully influenced by Camelia." Finally, Mr. Mahawira spoke up despite the obvious appearance of his face still holding a vexation.
"Badness ...." Prince Kalandra muttered.
The mood was silent for a moment. Two princes did not make a sound, especially Mr. Mahawira who had already thrown his face.
However, before long, Mr. Birendra raised his hand and said, "Sorry."
Mr Mahawira looked at Mr Birendra's hand, then turned to the man's face. They sat.
My master sighed deeply, then removed the frown on his forehead.
"I'm sorry too."
Finally, their hands were tied. The atmosphere became cool again by looking at their smile that was slowly cracking.
"Me too .. sorry, Mahawira Rancid." Prince Kalandra timidly raised a hand.
I was overwhelmed by the atmosphere surrounding me. It's really an incredible scene. After quite tense some time ago, now raking blue because the three friends are no longer in conflict with each other.
Mr. Mahawira responded to Prince Kalandra's apology with a smile while nodding.
I took a deep breath, then developed a smile.
"I'm very grateful. Thank you, God."
"In that case, we will also help you. We're gonna sue Camelia for what she did."
"alright. Our members are growing. It's time to continue the journey!" Mr. Mahawira came back in flames.
"Most importantly," said Mr. Mahawira, drawing me closer to him, "I'm sorry, Cornelia."
I smiled widely, then nodded.
"As an apology, I'll kiss your lips."
What's?!
When he brought his face closer, Prince Kalandra and Mr. Birendra separated me from Mr. Mahawira.
"Just make out" they said simultaneously.
Mr. Mahawira.
"Hey, Aksa! Come on, let's go!"
