"Kids?" Mr. Mahawira approached while frowning. "I'm sorry, who does Madam mean child?" ask the man to the middle-aged woman.
"He! Cornelia Aksita Chandini Minara! My kid. Oh, dearGod. Son, Cornelia. You've been this big and .. you're so beautiful."
The woman's expression was exuberant, but mixed with the haru taste that emanated from her eyeballs. I really don't understand. The King once said that my parents were just ordinary people and that they had long since died during the great war.
I flinch, I let the woman grab both cheeks, and stroke my head. If you look again, that woman is indeed quite similar to me. Yeah, exactly the old me.
"What's really going on? I don't understand any of this at all. Why did the Madam say I was the daughter of the Madam? How can I believe that Madam is really my mother?"
"Come, come with me" he said as he grabbed my arm. He forced me to walk.
"Hey! Where are you taking Cornelia?!" Mr. Mahawira pulled my other hand.
"Let me bring my own son! Don't block me! Release my son!" screeches with sharp eyes.
I turned my gaze towards Mr. Mahawira, then nodded. "Let's, Mister. I'll follow this madam. If you want to go back to the palace, come back. I'll catch up after getting an explanation."
"Can't!" protest Mr Mahawira straightforward. "I can't let you get away from me."
"T-but, Tuan—"
"I'll come with you."
I exhaled a long breath. Mr. Mahawira is really stubborn. In fact, he was worried about the state of the King.
After that, we were taken to an old hut in the west of the country. The hut is in the middle of the forest, the place is hidden, plus many wild plants that block the way to get there.
"Come, sit. This is where mom stayed, son, after being kicked out of the palace."
I frowned while sitting on a chair made of woven bamboo. So is Mr. Mahawira sitting next to me. Meanwhile, the woman just stood up while looking at my face.
"What does Madam mean? Expelled? The palace? Indeed who drove the Madam out of—"
"Your father, son. It was your cruel father who kicked me out, even that man didn't allow me to take you. He said you've escaped from the palace and never been found."
I really didn't expect it, or was I just too quick to trust a stranger I just met?
"If Madam is my mother, why don't I remember her at all? I should have remembered my own mother's face."
"Eitherway. I don't know what that man did to you. Obviously, that night you were with your father, he took you somewhere. Then, when he came back without you, he kicked the mother out of the palace along with his advisor. He really is a crafty guy! Until now I have been very vengeful towards him."
"It doesn't make sense!" timpal Tuan Mahawira while making hands.
"Take a look at you, young man!"
"Hey, Madam. Just so you know. Cornelia was taken to the Kingdom of Rosalia by my father when she was eight years old. How could he possibly forget his mother's face."
"Then, now can he remember his mother's face?"
I shook my head. It's true what the woman said. I don't remember my father and mother at all. However, since childhood I have always been haunted by a dream that shows the harmonious life of two adults with unclear faces.
"Listen, Son. Your father was a king in the Kingdom of Batalia, while mother was just an ordinary servant. Mothers are not of noble blood. However, your father came to my mother and claimed to have fallen in love."
Hearing the woman's words, I could only shake my head. Uncertain feeling. I could not believe it, but looking at his face as I told that bitter thing, my heart could always accept every verse of his words.
"They curse us, son."
"What?! M-cursing? What does Madam mean?"
"Mom doesn't know enough of the truth. However, the last time the mother looked in the mirror, the face of the mother was not what it is today. You may be wondering why your father would fall in love with you if my face was this ugly." Tears perched on the middle-aged woman's eyelids. Sometimes with his hands.
For a moment, I allowed a glance at the face of my master who was on the left. His forehead frowned, but I'm sure he was really pityed and touched by the woman's story.
"I know you're a prince of the kingdom. What's yourname?" ask the woman to Mr. Mahawira while cleaning the remains of clear liquid on the cheeks.
"Mahawira" the man replied briefly.
"Help Cornelia. Help him get his rights in the Kingdom of Batalia. Aren't you the least bit angry to hear my story? You should be mad because this girl you love has a cunning father who can throw her away."
"How can I believe your story, ma'am? Meanwhile, you don't have any evidence. Anyway, how do you know I love him?"
"In the meantime, I'll take something."
He was put into the hut by the woman. Not long after, he came out and showed us something.
"You must have recognized this thing."
Looking at the thing the woman was pointing at, I gasped. An earring made of pure gold is circular in shape, but has a crescent-like hole. The motive is the same as mine. Unfortunately, it's been a long time since I didn't wear that thing because I didn't have a partner.
Immediately I grabbed the sparkling earrings from the woman's hand, then looked at her carefully.
"That's the earring mom gave you, son. Since childhood, that's what has always accompanied you. When you were reported missing by everyone in the palace, it was the only thing I found on the train that carried you. Then, after being expelled from the palace, I spent time on the journey just to find you."
Suddenly tears flowed down the river without me stopping. I closed my mouth using my left hand, while my right hand was still holding the object given by the woman. My tears were as heavy as the first rain when it entered its season.
My mother was crying and stroking my back and hair.
"Yes, Son. It's me. Your mother, son. I'm your mother," she said so loudly.
That heartwarming as well as sad moment lasted for quite a long time. How could it be so short because I just never remembered how my mother's real face was. This longing was so great that the crying seemed endless.
I don't care about the woman's appearance. If you look at it at a glance, anyone will think he is crazy, smelly, and ugly, some will even think he looks like a witch.
But to me, mom is still mom. She is a mother who has given birth to me into this world so that she can meet the man who makes my heart beat endless. I am grateful, I do not hate him at all.
However, hearing his words created a small fire in the chest by remembering the man who had the heart to throw away his son.
"Then, sorry for being presumptuous," said Mr. Mahawira, bowing slightly.
"It's okay. Forgetit. What matters now, what is your purpose?"
"Cornelia," said Mr. Mahawira, "you stay here and accompany your mother. Let go of your misses. I'll go back alone to the palace."
"But, Tuan—"
"Calm down. I won't decide that soon to marry a daughter I don't love. After all, now there is nothing that restricts us from getting close to each other. It's obvious, isn't it?"
I looked down because I understood what Mr. Mahawira meant.
"Why are you looking down?" tanyakanya. "Oh, yeah. I love your son, Madam." Without further ado or stammering the man said something that brought me back to silence.
"Then I'll see you tomorrow. Wait here. If you miss me, just say my name, then I will come through your dreams."
Mr. Mahawira immediately walked away from me. I saw his fielded back, his relaxed pace.
"Master!" call me. The man stopped his steps, then turned his head and waited for me to say something.
"I love Mr Mahawira too!" I cried out loud to reach the prince's ears.
Shortly after, the man turned around and continued on his way. "I already know!"
After the rain, there is always a rainbow. And know, the rainbow that grew in my heart is so beautiful. Color, too. Although very regretful today can not be with Mr. Mahawira and will miss him, but I am with a figure who for decades I have been waiting for his existence.
Whenever I get a chance, I always think that my mom must be a very kind person. And it turned out to be true. He is kind, gentle, loving. The face? I don't really care. Even though she looks like a magical grandmother, in my eyes she is like a flower in bloom. Fragrant and beautiful.
"Come, we're in, son."
I nodded and put on a warm smile.
-----------------------
"Dad, where are we going?" I asked the middle-aged man in royal clothes inside the carriage that was carrying us.
"We are going to a very beautiful place" the man replied with a smile.
"Assyc! Lia's getting impatient, Dad."
"Patience, yes. We'll be there soon."
Suddenly the train stopped. I saw the father frowning.
"Hey! Why did you stop?!" ask the coachman in charge of running the horse-drawn carriage.
The man in front did not answer, then made the man next to me frown.
"You wait a minute. I'll check what's going on."
I'm nodding. The man got out of the train.
I really don't know what happened after that. There is only fear that binds me. There was a lot of fear that I experienced, especially when I heard the voice of the man who had just been with me in the carriage.
"Ofragrggh!" his shout was accompanied by the sound of the clanking sword.
Shortly after, the voices disappeared. With a thumping feeling, I got out of the carriage.
"Dad? Where is dad?" ringisku while stepping and circulating the eyeball around.
There's absolutely no people. The man did not exist, but a moment ago I heard his screams. Not only that, when looking at the front of the carriage, the coachman also disappeared mysteriously.
Being infiltrated by a high fear, I ran into the forest. Running and running further and further, the deeper into the dark the darker it gets.
In the darkness of the forest, strange moans rang out in the ears, making me stop, then squat while covering the ears with hands.
"Don't! Go ye! Go ye!"
Something crept closer, I did not dare to look back. Getting closer, until something hit me on the back. The moon seems to be out. The stars, moreover, vanished with nothing left. My consciousness disappeared instantly.
