Tristan parked his car in front of an exclusive vintage cafe. A cafe attendant came to greet them, and carried an umbrella in his hand.

"Sir, Miss, please wear the umbrella, let me drive you in."

Tristan received the umbrella the cafe attendant carried and got out of his car.

"Mother, please come out. I'll bring her umbrella" Tristan said, opening the car door for Audrey.

"Thank you, Tristan."

"Mother Audrey, don't stand too far away from me later your clothes get wet. This umbrella isn't too big."

"Yes..."

Audrey was forced to follow Tristan's advice because of the increasingly heavy rain outside. Tristan patted Audrey carefully as she walked into the cafe area.

"Please sit down Sir, Miss," the cafe waiter greeted them and handed them a menu book.

"Sir, Miss, what message would you like?"

"Mother Audrey, just order something I like, I'll obey Mom."

"Tristan, you brought me here. You're the one who has to choose the menu."

"Well, Mom, I hope you like my choice."

After ordering some of the cafe's favorite dishes, the waiter left Tristan and Audrey.

"Mother, did you still think about the matter this morning?" tristan asked, looking at Audrey's face, who seemed to be thinking about something.

"No, Tristan. I'm just a little anxious thinking about tomorrow's audit. I don't know why I'm afraid something bad will happen like this morning."

"Hasn't Mom checked and watched all the preparations well? I see Mom's been very busy all day."

"Yes, but I've been feeling like I've been underperforming lately. I almost made a fatal mistake" Audrey replied sadly.

"Mom worked very well. If we make unintentional mistakes every once in a while, it is human. I don't think you need to worry."

"Tristan, the Oragon Group has been an important part of my life for the past five years. I don't want to do anything wrong that would hurt the company."

"I understand, Mother. Relax, I will always be by Mom's side and help Mom. I'm sure tomorrow the audit process will go smoothly."

"Thank you, you helped me" Audrey said sincerely.

Tristan and Audrey's conversation came to a halt when a young man came to their table.

"Tristan, Hi, Bro...Have you come home from abroad? Why don't you just shut up and tell me?"

"Die, Steve. Sorry, I haven't had time to tell you. I didn't think we could meet here."

"Bro, is this your girlfriend?" steve asked, watching Audrey closely.

"No, it's Audrey's mom, my boss at the office, bro."

"What's? Topman? Not that office..."

"My office is Oragon Group" Tristan replied, cutting off Steve's speech.

"Mother Audrey, I'm sorry, I stayed for a while" Tristan said, taking her friend away from Audrey.

"Hey, Bro, do you like to play the show now?" ask Steve to be surprised.

"Not a show, Steve. I'm just undercover" Tristan half-whispered.

"Oh my goodness! Why is your behavior so weird like this, bro? Is it because you fell in love with that girl? To the point of being a low-level employee in your own company?"

"I deliberately did it because I wanted to prove to my papa that I was reliable as well. I can do something without his help. All this time my papa has often underestimated my abilities and compared me to my older brother Kevin" Tristan replied explaining the reason.

"But, Bro, how long are you going to go undercover?"

"Now, Steve. My appointment as CEO has been announced at the shareholders meeting."

"Well, congratulations, Tristan!"

"Sst, lower your voice, Steve," Tristan said, stopping Steve from speaking out loud.

"Then what about your girl, bro? Are you going to tell me the truth?"

"It's not time yet, bro. He'll know later."

"OK, okay, I see, Bro. Good luck. I hope you succeed."

"Thanks, Bro.."

Tristan patted his friend on the shoulder and went back to his desk.

"Sorry, Mom, did you wait long?"

"It's okay, Tristan, the food's coming. Why don't you invite your friends to join us?" ask Audrey astonishment.

"No, Mother. Steve was having dinner with his girlfriend. Later they can be disturbed if I invite here," Tristan replied casually.

...****************...

Due to the heavy rain outside, the cafe staff lent the umbrella to Tristan and Audrey.

"Mother, slowly, the road is flooded" Tristan said, carrying an umbrella.

Due to the dark and rainy atmosphere, Audrey almost slipped by the puddles in the parking area. It was fortunate that Tristan swiftly held Audrey's arm and held her back.

"Mom, are you okay?"

"I'm fine, Tristan. Thank you." Thank you."

"Please come in, ma'am," Tristan said, opening the car door.

The cold air outside made Audrey's body start shivering.

"Mother, are you cold?" tristan asked watching Audrey rubbing her palms together.

"Just a little bit may be due to the rain," Audrey replied trying to cover up what she felt.

"I don't want you to get sick tomorrow. Just a minute."

Tristan took his jacket from the back seat of the car. With a quick movement, he covered his jacket on Audrey's body.

"Tristan, this is not necessary" Audrey said, preventing Tristan's actions.

"Mother this time you must obey me. Don't you want to make sure the audit process runs smoothly tomorrow? You can't get sick."

"Yes, Tristan, thank you."

Tristan takes Audrey to the front of Amarilla's apartment lobby.

"Tristan, here's your jacket. Thank you for lending it to me" said Audrey, returning Tristan's jacket.

"See you tomorrow, Mother. Don't forget to take a shower and take a break" Tristan said, waving his hand.

Audrey waited until Tristan's car disappeared from her sight, then rushed up to the fourth floor. Upon arrival at the apartment, Audrey was surprised to see Bi Mila was already waiting for her in the living room.

"Good night, Madam. Are you all right? I'm worried because you haven't come home?"

"Bi Mila is here?"

"Yes, Madam, Mr. Reiner told me to stay here to accompany you as long as you don't exist."

"I'm sorry, Bi, it's worried about Auntie."

"Madam, please take a shower and eat. I've prepared dinner for you."

"I ate before I went home. I'll take a shower and get some rest."

"Madam, sorry, Mr. Reiner called here about an hour ago to look for you. Said your phone couldn't be reached."

Audrey reached into her cell phone from inside the bag and saw that it was dead.

"Oh, yes, Bi, my phone ran out of battery on the road. I'll call Reiner right away."

"I'm sorry, Madam, but sir said that you're going to call Madam tomorrow. Because the signal in Mr's place isn't good."

"Well, Bi, thanks for telling me. Night, Bi Mila."

"Night, Madam."

Why do I feel like a wife who's been cheating on her husband's back? I should have refused Tristan's invitation to dinner.

I thought Audrey was sorry.

...****************...

Mrs. Diana walked back and forth in her room. He seemed to be waiting for news from someone. When the phone call rings, Mrs. Diana hurried to pick up her phone with a pleased face.

"Hello, Karin, how did it go? Did you manage to get that woman fired from her job?"

"Night, Aunt. Sorry, our plan hasn't worked. Actually Karin almost got Audrey fired, but one of the staff saved her. Looks like he knows that Karin did it."

"Sunday you should be more careful. Don't act rashly!" said Mrs. Diana's angry.

"Auntie doesn't have to worry. Karin has a backup plan. Tomorrow there's an audit in the finance division, and Karin's gonna make sure Audrey gets fired from her job."

"Good, Karin. Aunt trust you all. Tomorrow Auntie wait for good news from you."

"Good, Auntie."

Mrs. Diana smiled with satisfaction. Right now, Karin, her niece, is the only last hope for revenge against Audrey. In the past, he had hoped that Reiner could be used as a tool for him to make Audrey suffer. But in reality, Reiner did nothing. Maybe Reiner was in love with his wife.

Audrey, it's time you suffered more than the pain I felt for the loss of my son.
