16 I'm Back (Part 2)

Audrey sat quietly in the car watching the road she was walking on. "Where are we going? This is not the direction to go home," Audrey asked suspiciously.

Mr. Beni, Reiner's personal driver, simply replied in a flat voice, "Sorry, my Miss ordered Mr. Nicko to take Miss to Mr. Reiner's apartment."

"Apartment?"

"Yes, Miss, Mr. Nicko is waiting for you there."

Audrey frowned. Audrey actually wanted to ask further, but Audrey paused her intentions. It's free to ask Mr. Beni, because he certainly doesn't know anything. Mr. Beni just obeyed all the orders of Nicko, the assistant who was as annoying as Reiner.

Their car continued to drive until it reached a luxury apartment building. Fear suddenly attacked Audrey. Bad memories with Dave seemed to roll back in his mind like a movie scene. In Dave's apartment room, Audrey almost lost her honor as a woman.

"Our number has arrived" Deni said, opening the car door for Audrey. Audrey who was still trembling took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down.

audrey muttered to herself.

Audrey sees Nicko standing at the door of the apartment lobby and waits for his arrival.

"Miss, you're almost late. In about fifteen minutes, Mr. Reiner will be here."

"Mr Nicko why didn't you tell me that Mr Reiner came home today? And why are we going to the apartment instead of going home?" audrey asks trying to investigate Nicko's reasoning.

With a face without expression as usual, Nicko gives a classic reason. "Miss, I'm just following Mr. Reiner's orders. After returning home from abroad, Mr. Reiner went to Miss Sofia's grave and had to do some work first. Therefore, I have just been allowed to inform her of her return now to Miss. If it's about the apartment, I don't know please Miss ask Mr. Reiner herself. Let me take Miss upstairs" Nicko said as he walked to the elevator. Audrey is forced to follow Nicko while still wondering what Reiner meant by telling him to move into an apartment.

Reiner's apartment is located on the fourth floor of the building. Nicko stuck a card on the door and pressed the password and let Audrey in.

"Miss, I've had the waiter move all your clothes and stuff. The refrigerator also has food and drinks. From now on you will stay with Mr. Reiner here.

"Until how long will I stay in this apartment, Mr Nicko?"

Not yet had Nicko give a response, the man hurriedly answered the phone call on his phone. "Okay, Mr. Reiner I'll go downstairs."

Nicko turned his head for a moment towards Audrey, "Miss please take a look at the room. Your room is on the right. I'll pick up Mr. Reiner in the lobby."

Audrey tried to shake off her anxiety by looking at the rooms inside the spacious apartment. There is a living room, family room, two rooms, kitchen, and one workspace.

Nice to have my room separated from Reiner's.

Audrey walked towards her room that Nicko had pointed out earlier. At least his room was the safest place to take care of himself. Audrey opened the closet door and saw that her clothes were neatly arranged. His laptop and all his work equipment were also on the room table. In her heart, Audrey admitted that Nicko's performance as Reiner's assistant was indeed outstanding. The cold man was able to handle everything on time, even down to a very personal thing. Nicko is also willing to spend the weekend just to take care of his boss. Audrey feels her performance in the office is still far below Nicko's work standards.

"Let's finish our proposal for Blue Union. Tomorrow I'll see what needs to be revised. Now you can go home, Nicko."

"I go home first, sir," Nicko said goodbye, then closed the door.

Audrey did not come out of her room. He decided to close the door and change his clothes. However, Audrey's footsteps came to a halt when she saw Reiner already standing in front of her bedroom door. The handsome man's eyes were looking at him sharply.

"You're having fun as long as I'm not around. You don't look sad anymore because you lost Sofia" Reiner said, looking at the dress Audrey wore. He continued his words in a mocking tone, "Darling your dressing sense once."

The camp? How dare he insult my taste in dress? Even Tasya and Susan praised my dress.

audrey's mind is upset.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Reiner, I attended the wedding invitation of one of my staff. I'm just about to change clothes but you're coming in here."

"So Nicko said you're wondering why I told you to stay in this apartment? You really want to know why?" reiner asked again.

Basic assistant complainant, thought Audrey was cursing at Nicko.

Reiner released the clutches of his hand. He took the phone from his pants pocket and showed a photo in front of Audrey's face. "You're a very good acting guy. You pretend to forget who you just threw away until he was desperate. You're the one responsible for my brother's death, Dave."

Audrey's heart stopped beating. How could fate play him like this. Dave is Reiner's brother. Reiner had hated him so much since they first met. As Audrey recalled, Dave did not use the name Bratawijaya behind his name. Then why would Dave be Reiner's sister?

"True, Dave is a Bratawijaya. She's my half-sister, my only sister. Although he's my father's son from another woman, but I love him. I always keep him from all distractions. From now on I will make you pay for all your sins. I will make your life suffer like hell" Reiner said with a terrifying look.

Audrey could only resignedly accept this bitter reality.
