Looking Too Far

"Are you sure you're gonna do it Kei?" ask father.

"This is the only way" Kei said while changing clothes.

"But what if it wasn't Roger?"

"What do you mean, dad?"

"Come Kei, this just feels... Weird."

"Actually Kei also feels like it's dad. It all feels well planned. So the mastermind behind all this is likely uncle, father. Considering he's on Roger's alpha side right now" Kei said.

"Yes.. Because it was Ordovick who made me doubt."

"But they could be both fathers. Therefore Kei did not attack openly but secretly. Kei will do the way Zach saved Aaron first. Because if we attack openly and it's not Roger, there will be bloodshed and many innocent people will die. And Kei's sure that's what Uncle Ordovick wants."

"You're right. All right, but you're sure your little army is enough? You can bring Lykort's best army and gamma."

"Kei knows but it doesn't need dad. The gamma of Kei and Orychant's beliefs is more than enough for Kei."

Kei walked out of the room in the follow up of his father. Rowl, the little wolf is coming for Kei. Kei took it and carried it.

"I'll bring your master back soon, take it easy" Kei told Rowl. He stroked Rowl's head.

Kei and his father arrived at the front courtyard of the palace. There are already gamma beliefs Kei - Jake, Mike, Kian, Jason, Moles, Adrian, Roland, Brad, Austin - and also the beta - Ian, Ryan, Aaron-and of course Zach are ready to go. Kei rubbed his already slightly longer black hair and stared at the gamma and beta with his green eyeballs.

"Are you guys ready?" ask Kei. "It won't be easy."

"We know your highness and we're ready" Jake said to a nod.

"What about you? Are you ready?" ask Kei's mother.

"Kei's ready mom." Kei handed Rowl to his mother. "Kei titip Rowl's mom. Please take care of Rowl until Tania returns."

"Of course and be careful Kei."

"Yes, ma'am."

"Your highness, take the road on the west side of the Lykort pack. We've cleared the area until nothing will get in the way" said Carvil, Kei's father's beta.

"Cavril, of course, thank you."

"Are you sure you don't need your noble help?"

"There is no need for Cavril, after all there must be someone standing guard at Lykort. We don't want to risk anyone attacking this pack when you go with me."

"All right, your majesty."

"And Kei, let us know if you need any help. We'll be here soon." asked Kei's father.

"Good dad. We go first."

Kei joined the others.

"Ian, take good care of your highness." Cavril said.

"It'll take care of Ian, Ian promised. Ian, take Anne."

Ian also joins forces and one by one they turn into wolves including Kei and Zach. Kei howls and runs, followed by Zach, beta, and his gang. Kei ran in the direction Cavril had told him.

Kei ran without stopping. He used his wolf man power by running very fast. Roger's alpha pack is pretty far from Lykort. Kei passed through the river quite profusely but that did not hold him back. He just ran faster.

Some time later, they reached the border of Bykort. They turn themselves into humans and hide in the bush.

"Is this pack still protected by magic?" whisky Zach.

"It looks like it's Zach. Ordinary large packs residing in the forest would be protected by magic to keep them safe and outsiders would not enter." Kei explained in a whisper as well.

"Then how do we get in?"

"Can't you stop bothering us?" ask someone who is standing near them.

"Lilly!!" screeched Jason while standing up from his squat. Mike pulls Jason to squat back and then hits Jason on the head.

"Are you crazy? Why do you have to scream like that!" mike said half a whisper.

"Sorry, I forgot." said Jason. He's still stroking the head that Mike hit.

"Do you have to hit him like that?" ask Lily.

"He deserves to be hit" Mike replied.

"You can tell him without hitting him."

"Lily, stop." Livia tried to break up.

"Whoaa are you now defending Jason?"

"Uhmm guys?? We're in trouble here, so stop fighting." - Kei.

"Excuse me, your majesty" said Mike, staring intently at Lily and vice versa.

"So Lily, Livia, can you help?" ask Kei.

"We'll try, come on Lily."

Livia and Lily approach the border and touch the invisible magic protector with one hand and the other hand copy holding the hand. Lily and Livia face each other and close their eyes and cast a spell.

Before long the protector shone a little for a moment and then disappeared.

"Of course, you can come in. Hurry on! We're gonna shut down the protectors once you get in and wait for you here. So come back here."

"Well, thank you" Kei said. Kei stepped first. Then followed by another.

"Are you not coming? What if there's black people inside?" ask Zach.

"There are no blacks inside. The chosen one has confirmed it."

"Well then."

"Remind you to come back here. Right here."

All nodded and turned back into wolves then immediately ran down the forest of the Bykort region. They run very fast. But suddenly Kei sensed the presence of another werewolf who was not a member of his pack.

'They're coming!'

One wolf jumps to hit Kei but from behind Jake is ready and blocks the wolf.  They fought. Adrian stops and attacks another wolf who tries to attack Jake. Jake pushed the wolf he attacked so hard it hit the tree, making the small tree fall. Jake and Adrian stare at the three wolves in front of them.

'No Adrian, go! I can handle them.'

'Are you sure?'

'Sure Ad, go. They're just soldiers. I can face them.'

'Alright, meet us at the agreed place.'

'I will.'

Jake attacks the three wolves again while Adrian follows Kei. They ran and almost reached the settlement.

'We split up' Kei said.

'Okay, your highness.'

Kei leads to the right and Zach leads to the left. Zach is in charge of finding Tania's special prisons. Because Zach's been there before saving Aaron. Maybe Tania was there too. While Kei searches Roger's house and the usual prison.

Zach stopped his run and walked slowly while alert.

'You remember goa was alpha?'

'Still Aaron, but our wolf's body won't fit. As soon as we get close we turn into humans.'

'Good alpha.'

"Who's there?!" the word someone made Zach and his herd shocked. The two warriors looked at them and instantly turned into wolves. Austin went ahead and confronted them.

'Alpha, go..!! Hurry along!'

'But...'

'Alpha, Austin's right. We can't stay here. We're gonna waste time. After all, if other warriors come, things will get more complicated. Austin can handle it.'

'As Kei said, we have to finish quickly. All right, let's go. Follow us Austin!!'

Zach ran back and this time he went straight to the cave. Up near the cave, he transformed himself into a human.

"We attack secretly" whispered Zach. Brad and Roland walked over to the guard outside. There are two guards. Roland caught one of the guards then strangled him, taking the guard away from the mouth of the cave. While Brad slips his fist at one guard and incapacitates him.

"Alpha..  Hurry up!!" sahut Roland's.

Zach goes into the cave with Aaron. They ran down the cave. Checking place by place.

"I'm not sure the queen is here. Because the guard is only two people."

"We should keep checking on Aaron. We split. We'll meet again here."

"Good alpha."

Meanwhile Kei..

"There are many who stand guard, Your Majesty. It would be very difficult if we moved without being seen" Mike said.

"We have to work out Kei's plan."

"Hmm yeah, I know." said Kei. Kei was silent and seemed to think.

"All right!!" said Manuel who stood in front of a group of people behind Roger's mansion. Everyone is silent. "Remember to stand guard in the border area and some patrol outside. We're approaching a time of war, we need to be more vigilant."

"Good beta." replied the men.

"Good, go." said Manuel.

One by one they left. Instantly the courtyard became desolate. Manuel walked over to the bush where Kei and the others were hiding. Manuel looked around.

"Coming here is not the right idea... Your Majesty." said Manuel to Kei's surprise.

"You.. Know it?" ask Kei.

"Maybe the others haven't but yes, I know." replied Manuel. "And it's not wise of you to come here. Or maybe... Has the war started?"

Kei came out of hiding and looked at Manuel.

"Who are you looking for?"

"Only... Someone."

"Seeing you only bring people your trust, it seems like the person you are looking for is an important person. But this time you are wrong. No one new comes in here."

"That's.. Let me make sure." Kei said. Manuel nodded.

"Very well then. Please." said Manuel paving the way.

"Did you allow us? Or maybe you want to frame us?"

"Not your honor, my loyalty is indeed to alpha Roger. But I am not an ungrateful human being. I'm doing this out of gratitude to you and alpha Zach for helping my son, Nathan."

"Are you sure it's just that?" Kei.

"Of course your honor. I'm also sure you believe in me, considering you've mentioned how many of you all are."

Kei fell silent. That's right, he did, for some reason, believe in Manuel.

"Go here and turn him right, you'll get a dungeon. There are usually two guards on guard."

"Good thanks."

Kei walked towards the place he was referring to.

"Wait.." - Manuel.

Kei stopped his steps right in front of Manuel.

"If it's about the queen... You are wrong to come here. There's no noble queen here" Manuel said.

"You... How the... How's.."

"But I know who did it."

"What do you mean?"

"Maybe I'm old, but I'm still a pure-bred werewolf. I heard a plan drawn up by alpha Ordovick with his son, Fred. Plans that even alpha Roger didn't know about. So if you're looking for the noble queen here, you're wasting your time. Because I can make sure the queen is not here. But if you still have doubts, you can go and check it out. I'll help distract alpha Roger."

"Well, I get it. Thank you." Thank you." Kei walked back.

"And your highness?" Manuel stopped Kei's steps again. Kei. "Hurry up, because I'm sure alpha Roger will soon find out about the queen. He has ears everywhere."

Kei nodded and stepped back. Manuel stared them off until they were out of sight.

"Map Manuel!"

"Yes?"

"You're called by alpha."

"I'll be there soon!" Manuel sighed. Good luck, your majesty.

Kei searched the entire prison. But I didn't find Tania anywhere. Not even smelling the smell.

'It's not here, Ian. I don't feel anything.'

Kei talks through special alpha and beta mindlinks.

'It looks like Manuel is right. There's no Tania here.'

'Even though he's in this pack, I don't think it's possible that he's in jail'

'you mean?'

'Roger is a man of respectful madness. Means he'll still respect Tania which is very unlikely that he put Tania here.'

'Maybe right. Where then?'

Kei and Ian saw Roger's house not far away.

'What's possible?'

'We'd better check on Kei.'

'Yes and better not take them.'

Kei looked at the gamma. Ian was also looking in the same direction. Then they looked at each other and nodded.

"Jason, Mike, Kian, Moles." call Kei. "Come here."

They all came to Kei.

"Go from here and find Jake. Wait for me he's a agreed place."

"But where is your majesty going? We can go together."

"Me and Ian will check one more place. Just wait there. No need to come."

"But his highness-"

"I am Kei Lyroso Laros, alpha of all alpha, king of Lycanthrope, command you all to go and wait. Do you understand?!"

Kei used his title and position. Even his eyes are red. All gamma's down. Their feet went limp for a moment. They bend both knees.

"The government will be carried out immediately, Your Majesty" said Mike.

"Go, now!" firmly Kei.

"Oh, your honor!!" they said simultaneously. The gamma stood up and immediately left behind Kei and Ian.

"Did that not overdo Kei?" ian asked with a face that was still astonished to see Kei use his title and position for trivialities.

"It's too much" Kei said then let out a long sigh. "But they are so stubborn! If I don't do it they won't leave us."

"Yes, and you're as stubborn as they are." Ian glanced at Kei. Kei snorted in annoyance.

"Yes, yeah it's up to you. I'm lazy to argue with you. Huh!" Kei walked ahead of Ian.

"It's stubborn, chatty, commanding, grumpy again." murmured Ian.

"I heard it!" kei said annoyed. Ian laughed amusedly.

Kei and Ian walked into the house without any significant obstacles. Only occasionally met with maids and guards. But fortunately they were also werewolves, so they smelled the same. Kei and Ian went floor by floor. There are three floors in the house. Kei and Ian did not find Tania.

"It seems Manuel is right, Tania is not here." whispered Ian.

"Yes right. Come on, we better get out of here."

Kei and Ian walked away. But just a few steps away, they heard quite a lot of footsteps. Kei and Ian looked at each other. They started to panic. Kei pulled out Ian's hand and opened the door in one of the rooms on the floor. They went inside and leaned behind the door. They heard footsteps passing through the room. Sounds a lot. When the footsteps left, they could breathe a sigh of relief.

"Hidden, your honor?"

Kei and Ian were shocked. They looked at him at once and found Mayes, the leader of the blacks, standing not far from them. Kei and Ian immediately stood up and were on guard. Mayes tilted her head slightly and smiled faintly.

"Are you going against me, your majesty?" ask Mayes. "You sure of that?"

"I'm not afraid of you!"

"Oh yeah, I believe that. You have incredible courage. Including entering a large territory and carrying only a few troops."

"It's none of your business."

"Ohh, of course not. But Roger would be so happy to hear this."

"Well! I don't know if the blacks are the complainants."

"Haha..." Mayes laughs. He turned around and walked away from Kei and Ian. "It seems you're misunderstanding here." Mayes turned to face Kei and Ian. His body was rested on the only table in the room. "I don't feel like meddling in your affairs."

"Ha! 0You think we'll believe it?"

"No, I don't need you to believe. But if you're looking for your queen here, you're wrong. Your queen's not here in this pack."

"Have known." replied Kei Ketus.

"Ahh well."

"What are you here for?" ask Kei ketus.

"To make sure of something. And it turns out that my guess is right" Mayes said. Kei frowned.

"Uhm.. Kei?" Ian patted Kei on the shoulder. Kei.

"What's? What's up?" ask Kei. Ian pointed to the top of the room. Kei followed Ian's index direction. He's awestruck. His eyes were perfectly rounded while his mouth was open. Kei looked around.

"God.. He's really crazy!"

"really. That's why I won't be working with him again. I could've killed him but I didn't want to dirty my hands. You're gonna do it anyway, aren't you?"

"You.. Won't help him?"

"After all this? Sure didn't. I am evil and a murderer. But I still have dignity. I will not cooperate with a lowly person like him or your uncle. I'm sure you already knew the culprit was your uncle and not Roger."

Kei fell silent.

"Oh? You don't know? Too bad. The culprit was your own uncle, Ordovick. Roger's? That stupid alpha wouldn't be able to do that. Everything Ordovick had planned, right from the start."

Mayes walked forward approaching Kei and Ian. Their distance is now very close. Kei stared intently at Mayes.

"Go to your own pack. You're too far looking."

"What do you mean?" Kei's confused. Mayes grinning.

"Sometimes we don't have to look too far, your majesty. Just have to be more thorough. That's my advice. Happy searching."

Mayes turned her body and walked away from Kei.

"What did you tell me?" ask Kei. Mayes stopped his steps again and turned around. 

"Just take this as a parting gift from me" Mayes said. Mayes smile. "And your highness? Do not forgive them, for they will never regret and change. Remember my words."

Mayes teleported. Kei and Ian could only stare at each other for a moment and then look at their surroundings which looked extremely terrifying.
