Chapter 2: Tania Reynolds

Far away in other parts of the world, there was a girl who was busy in her school library. He pulled out a book and looked for something. If he doesn't find it, he'll dismantle another bookshelf. He tried as hard as he could because he knew he was in the library. But eventually his carelessness came. His hand nudged the pile of books that were still a mess next to him. Yep, The reckless Tania. It would not be wrong for her friends to give her that nickname.

Bruk!! the books fell and made a loud noise. Tania immediately picked up the books quickly.

"Miss Tania Reynold." call someone. Instantly Tania fell silent. He turned his head and found Nancy Daniels' mother already in a ruffled waist and standing nearby. His eyes glared at Tania and the glasses he wore sagged at the end of his nose. Tania closed her eyes and bit her lips slowly. Tania stood up slowly and faced Daniels' mother, the library guard.

"You dropped the books a few times. You make this library noisier as it is in the market." Daniels' mother half-whispered.

"Actually twice ma'am. I'm just-" Tania stopped her words for a moment when she saw Daniels' mother glaring more and more. His eyeballs almost fell out of place. "I'm sorry." Tania said quietly.

"Come clean all that up and I beg you to go." Daniels' mother sighed harshly. He left Tania with scattered books. Tania immediately cleaned the books.

He had been tidying up the books for a few minutes. Finally the books were neatly arranged on the shelves, no more books lying on the floor. Tania put both her hands on her waist and nodded surely. He smiled with satisfaction at his work. Tania then went and approached Miss Daniels at her desk. Mrs Daniels saw it with a sour face.

"I've cleaned up all the ma'am and once again I'm sorry." said Tania and went straight out of the library.

Tania walked slowly towards the classroom. He looked at the books in his hand.

'Well a lot too, can ya I finish everything?'

"Miss Tania Reynold." call someone behind her. Tania stopped her steps and turned her head and found one of her teachers, Mr. Simon Murphy.

"Yes sir?" ask Tania.

"What are you doing here?" ask Simon sir.

"I'm from the library sir." replied Tania.

"Library? during class hours?"

"What's? what do you mean father? it's still a break sir. Just look at the other students still-"

Tania fell silent. He looked around. There's no one there. He was the only student outside the class. He looked at his teacher for a moment then lowered his head.

"Tania, get back to your class now." orders Simon sir.

"Yes sir." said Tania immediately and turned her body and immediately walked away from Simon.

"Tania." call Mr. Simon back. Tania stopped her steps and turned her body. "Your class is right here." Mr. Simon pointed in the direction behind him. Tania was surprised and looked in the direction she was going to at last then turned back to look at the direction pointed by Mr. Simon. Tania smiled shyly and her cheeks blushed as she knew she was misguided. Tania immediately walked past Mr. Simon and headed to the classroom. Mr. Simon shook his head in astonishment at the behavior of one of his students.

Before long, Tania arrived at the front of her class. He opened the door slowly. All of his classmates looked towards him.

"Miss Tania Reynold." Call her teacher. Sussan Harper, the math teacher who was teaching who called him. This was already the third time his name had been called so complete by his teacher today. Not just one teacher, but three teachers at a time. Tania went inside and stood in front of her teacher who was standing in front of the blackboard.

"Where have you been? the lesson started twenty minutes ago." ma'am Harper folded her hands on her chest while looking at Tania firmly.

"Sorry mom, I came from the library. I don't know if the bell has rung." replied Tania.

"Tania sleeps in the library ma'am!" chirp one of his classmates. All his friends laughed. Tania pouted at the words of her friend.

"Already, don't make a fuss. This time I forgive. Sit." Sit."

Tania walked to her seat. Tania smiled at her two best friends sitting in front and behind her.

"Tania, you were just in the library?" whispered Casey. Tania looked back and nodded. "Make what?"

"Find and borrow a book" said Tania who also whispered.

"That much?" Casey pointed at the pile of books that Tania had brought. Tania nodded.

"Eat him, next time if there is a direct task to do." said Anne who sat in front of him.

Tania pouting. "Yes, yes." whispered at last.

"Eh Anne, can you help me with my work? I beg you.." pinta Tania who was still whispering.

"Basic, it's always been like that" Casey said.

"I know, I was surprised too. Why can't me and my brain forget..." Tania hit her head slowly.

"It looks like you need to see a doctor." Casey said.

"Am I really sick?" tania Protest.

"Maybe. And it could be that your pain is creeping into madness."

"What's? you're this..."

"Tania." scolded Harper's mom.

Tania who was about to hit her friend slowly turned her body and smiled sweetly at her teacher. Ma Harper just sighed.

"Anne, help me.please..."

From the second break to school, Tania still persuades Anne to help her with the task she was given a week ago, but Tania forgets about it and she curses herself for it.

"Anne.." call Tania in despair.

Anne stopped her steps and let out a long sigh.

"Find the book. Let me take half of it. We're going to my house" Anne said at last.

"Anne!! you are the best...!!!" Tania cheered happily.

"Geez you this. Don't scream. It's so embarrassing." Anne immediately walked away from Tania.

"Then me?" ask Casey. "Am I not a good friend?"

"If Casey's a pretty friend. Let's go." Tania draped her hands into Casey's arms and walked towards Anne's house.

Tania did not stop fumbling through the books she had borrowed from the library. Sometimes he scratches his head that does not itch. He was trying to understand what he was reading. But the longer he read, the more he did not understand. Anne went into her room with snacks.

"Have you got it?" ask Anne. Tania shakes.

"It looks like my brain won't cooperate this time" replied Tania limp.

"Basar you this. Here I help you find." said Anne at last. Tania immediately smiled as sweetly and sweetly as possible at Anne. "Ughh don't smile like that!! I'm gonna throw up, huweekk.." sneered Anne. Tania pouted hearing that.

"Eh you guys." Call Casey. Tania and Anne turned their heads. "You didn't hear about Mark who said he was dating Lizzie?"

"really? they dating?" tanya Tania was surprised. Casey shrugged both of her shoulders.

"Once, maybe. I heard from the other kids. Said someone saw them kissing in the back of the school" Casey said.

"Kiss?" tania and Anne said together. Casey nodded.

"It's impossible" Tania said. "I'm sure it's just gossip."

"Yes, right? it must be a rumor, right? there's no way Mark's going out with a freak like Lizzie" Casey said.

"He's not Casey's freak" Anne said.

"He's a freak, that's what I think. I'm not gonna let Mark fall into his hands. Just plain as it were. I was popular at school and had been chasing Mark since Junior High still can not date Mark. It's as if she's stepping on me." Casey said.

Casey is one of the most beautiful in school. Her long, wavy blonde hair, pure white skin and a pointed nose and sexy thin lips make her one of the prettiest. All the boys in their school love Casey. But from their junior high, Casey did like Mark Chamberlin, the most handsome guy in school. Mark moved to the town of Summerset when they were Junior High and from then on, Mark became the most handsome guy there. But Mark is hard to get close to. As beautiful as the girl was, if she did not find the girl attractive, she would not approach her. Just like Casey. Casey is one of the prettiest girls around, but Mark doesn't really care about her because Mark thinks Casey isn't attractive. Beautiful, but not attractive.

"I've always been confused about what kind of girl Mark likes. Even a very beautiful Casey was still not enough" Tania said.

"Huft." Casey grunted in annoyance. She recalled the moment she expressed her feelings for Mark and Mark immediately rejected her. Casey was really embarrassed and barely wanted to go to school anymore.

"Hey you guys here want to do this job or just gossip?" Anne started to nag. Tania laughing.

"Sorry. Let's do it again" Tania said as she retrieved the book she had just read.

Kei was shocked in disbelief. His mouth is wide open. His eyes did not blink even he did not move at all. He was so surprised by what was in front of him. A handsome man, slightly brown-skinned, brown hair that had been cut short, tall and perfect. Kei knows that guy.

"Alright, please sit in the empty place you want Mr. Miller." teacher Kei let the man sit down. The man sat in front of Kei.

"Good kids, let's move on." said Nancy Brighton's mother.

"What are you doing?" kei whispered to the man in front of him. The man looked.

"What do you mean?" ask her in a whisper too.

"What are you doing here?" whispered Kei again.

"School" replied the man as he lifted the book he had just pulled out of his bag.

"school? Don't joke."

"Kei, I'd love to joke around but I'm really not joking, joking or whatever you have in mind. And don't think I like this. I don't like him at all. I'm a lot older than most High School kids!" obviously that guy.

"Then what are you here for? Ian, if you do anything"

"Kei." panggi Brighton's mother, cut off Kei's words. Kei turned his head and found Brighton's mother looking at him sharply with her arms folded over her chest.

"I know you're dying to know Ian Miller, but it's lesson time. Do later. And I'm pretty sure Ian would love to have a new friend" Brighton's mom said. Ian smiled.

"Goodly." he said with an awkward smile.

Kei walked hurriedly towards the backyard of his school. He's looking for Ian's whereabouts.

"Let's walk a little slowly." Ruben who had come walking with Kei was a little overwhelmed.

"I want to know immediately why the madman went to school here" Kei said without slowing down his path.

"I'm sure he has a reason." said Tim. "Or maybe your father wanted him to go to school here, to take care of you."

Kei stopped his steps and faced Tim. "My dad? take care of me? from what?"

"I don't know but there's definitely something." Jawan Tim.

"And I must know that" Kei said and paved his way.

Before long Kei saw a figure he knew, Ian Miller with several girls at his school. Kei.

"Ian." call Kei. Ian looked over and smiled widely.

"Let's! surprise. Come here, join me and these beautiful girls." take Ian.

"We need to talk but not here."

Kei pulled Ian's hand away from the crowd of girls. After a long distance Kei let go of his hand.

"Wah Kei, this is the first time you've held my hand. Either I should be happy or I don't. But this is very surprising." said Ian enthusiastically.

"I really don't care what you feel right now" Kei said coldly.

"Oh. very rude. You broke my heart" said Ian. He tried to make his face look sad and touch his chest.

"Be serious...!!!" pekik Kei's.

"I'm serious Kei" said Ian again.

"Suell up." Kei sighed. "What are you doing here?"

"Uhmm...school?" ian replied again.

"Lord...!!!!" pekik Kei again. "I'm begging you to be serious, just once!!"

"Alright, alright. I'm sorry." said Ian after seeing Kei's desperate expression.

"Did you send me here?" ask Kei. Ian nodded.

"Yes." replied Ian briefly.

"Patch you certainly." replied Ian again. Kei frowned.

"But for what? I'm fine."

"Your father said you might be in danger."

"Danger? me?" Kei's confused.

"Kei, your father knows about you with Cayden. About fighting. All this time your father kept quiet because he didn't want to interfere in your affairs, because he respected you. But looking at you who was provoked by emotion at that time, your father couldn't stay silent anymore" Ian explained.

"I can take care of myself" Kei said coldly.

"Your father knew that, even though I didn't. He just wants to protect you" Ian said.

"protect me? wh-wh-what for? so that he's not ashamed to have a child who turns out there's a monster in him?"

"It's not like that Kei." Ian tried to calm down the kei who was getting upset.

"I don't need protection and stay away from me" Kei said and left Ian.

"Hey...!! you came to me." said Ian half-screaming. "Wait for me."

Kei walked quickly to his house. Ian was chasing him. Kei was fed up of being followed by Ian continuously. Ian's been sticking to her ever since she got into school. Ian's been in school for a week and Ian's been clinging to him. Kei felt very troubled and disturbed. Even one school talked about it. On the first day Ian entered, he was already a popular kid because of his good looks. Ian is different from Kei. Ian is very friendly. He returned all the greetings of the daughter who reprimanded him, receiving all the gifts given to him, even Ian happily spoke to the girls. But to Kei's disgust, Ian does all that by sticking to him. Tim and Ruben never did any of those things. Not because they weren't as popular as Ian but because they thought of Kei's feelings. Ian especially liked his popularity, making Kei very sick.

"Kei, you will fall if you walk too fast" said Ian who was still trying to chase Kei who walked very fast in front of him.

"It's none of your business." said Kei coldly.

"Of course it's my business, I'm your bodyguard. How can I face your father later if I can't take good care of you?" said Ian.

"Then don't be my bodyguard" Kei said again.

"If I could." murmured Ian softly, trying to keep Kei from hearing it.

"I hear you." said Kei.

"Ah. I forgot we're wolves. We have sharp ears and a sharp nose" Ian said. "Wait for me."

Ian ran after Kei. Kei moved back as Ian approached. Suddenly a big wolf appeared in front of them. The wolf snarled loudly at Kei and Ian. Kei only snorted annoyedly at the wolf. He knew the wolf would make him even more upset.

"Cayden...!!! it's not surprising." said Ian.

The wolf slowly turned into someone they knew, Cayden.

"I didn't expect to see lovey dovey. The former prince with his bodyguard. You guys are a perfect couple." - ridiculed Cayden

"Cayden, I've been wondering where you've been. And here he is. I really miss you" Ian said with a sweet face.

"You're really disgusting, you know that" Cayden said.

"And you're just a loser and a spoiled child." retorted Ian.

"You-"

"You really fit." said Kei as he passed.

"Key, what if we finish that time?" Cayden put his right hand on Kei's shoulder. Kei took it off violently.

"Don't bother me Cayden." said Kei with a sour face. He's so sick of dealing with Cayden.

"Maybe, but we have to finish the fight first" Cayden said.

"What if it's with me? wasn't that time you hadn't finished the fight with me?" Ian Sahut.

"Don't interfere" said Cayden who appeared annoyed.

"Oh... Cayden, are you scared?" Ian Taunts.

"You-you really don't have manners. I'm the prince here, but you still treat me casually!!" cayden's voice is rising.

"Oopss.pardon my noble one."so Ian with a slight bow, a sign of respect. "You don't think I'd respect that, do you? That's a waste of time."

"You-"

"Come on Cayden. I want to see if a spoiled kid like you can beat me." Ian challenged.

"I'm not a spoiled child." said Cayden.

"Ohh. Not a spoiled child, but very spoiled. Yeah, I should have, I'm sorry."

Cayden could no longer hold back his anger. Her face flushed. Molar's crackling. He looked at Ian sharply. She's so fed up with him. Ian never respected him like anyone else, but he was the prince of Lykort.

"Are you angry? good then." Ian threw his school bag. "It's going to be a lot of fun." he murmured.

"Enough" said Kei who had been silent earlier. "Let's go home Ian."

Kei walked again.

"It looks like there's a fight here." said a voice of someone who had just arrived. "Or just a pack of useless wolves."

Everyone looked over and found Fred, Cayden's older brother. He was wearing bright blue jeans and a night blue shirt. Fred came with his two friends.

"Well, is that you wearing the high school uniform?" ask Fred. "I don't know if you're still sixteen."

Ian simply fell silent looking at Fred coldly.

"Oh. don't look at me like that" Fred said after seeing Ian's sharp gaze. "Hi Kei."

Kei did not answer either.

"I think everyone here is mute." Fred seemed upset that no one answered. "How's your father Kei doing? it seems he's improved. I saw him a few days ago."

Kei still did not answer. He just threw his face away.

"Hey. I'm talking to you, Kei. If a prince asks, you should answer." Fred said in a cold voice and a sharp look at Kei.

"Don't bother him Fred." said Ian at last.

"Don't interfere with Ian, I'm talking to Kei" Fred said.

"If you talk to her, it means you're dealing with me" Ian said. Fred laughs.

"Are you not overdoing it Ian? he's not a kid anymore. You don't have to look after her like that. You even wear that ridiculous uniform. You're really pathetic." sneered Fred.

"No, you're pathetic. Even with your current age, you still have time to take care of the affairs of a sixteen-year-old child. You always say, grow up Ian. I think you should grow up Fred." Ian scoffed back. "Are you sure you're Cayden's brother? interfering in Cayden's affairs makes you look more of a bodyguard to me than the prince you've always been proud of."

Fred smiled cynically.

"What a dare. How dare a wolf of the lower class like you judge me!"

"I may indeed be a low-class wolf, I am not a noble like you. But at least I don't have a lowly attitude like you. Much lower than my status."

"You-"

"Enough! stop it." said Kei who had been silent earlier. "My dad's fine Fred, don't worry and Ian, he'll be warned to be more polite.

"Wait, why am I? he should be Kei!!" Ian protests.

"Enough Ian, let's go." take Kei.

"Yes, go. Before I make you die like Dylan." Fred said.

Kei fell silent. He's feeling very angry now. She'd hate it the least if anyone brought her brother Dylan.

"Don't bring up my brother" Kei said coldly.

"Wait, are you mad at me? I'm just telling you the truth, that your brother is dead. You should've accepted that." Fred said.

"And are you satisfied to kill him? Hmh! you guys are a cheating family" Kei said coldly.

Fred laughs. "Do you want to die like your brother? I'll be happy to do it."

Kei took a step forward and looked at Fred intently. His green eyeballs had already turned pitch-black.

"Oh. look. Are you sure you can beat me, little boy?" ask Fred.

"I can." Ian answered. He advanced and was already in front of Kei.

"Don't interfere with Ian, I can do it myself." said Kei.

"No Kei, you can't." replied Ian.

"Can you stop treating me like that? stay away from me!!"

"No! I'm not going to stay away from you." said Ian.

"Ouwhh.com is so romantic" Fred said, clapping his hands. "I'm really touched." Fred touched his chest and made a gentle face. The whole friend laughed.

Kei stared intently at Fred and Ian alternately then left them.

"Let's...!!!" call Ian.

"Look how cowardly she is" Cayden told her brother. Fred just stared at Kei in silence. There was no laughter in his lips.

"If you don't, if you two dare to disturb or hurt Kei, I swear I will kill you both." Ian threatened.

"Then I should be afraid of a lowly wolf like you? you have no manners. I'm a prince, I'm not a crown prince. The whole Lycanthrope will be mine, especially Lykort and you certainly." said Fred.

Ian laughed out loud. "I'm not afraid of Fred, you know that. I don't care who you are or what you do. But if you scratch Kei just a little, I'll kill you. And you, even know very well Fred, that I am stronger than you. Do I need to remind you?"

"Draw it!! if Alpha finds out, my dad knows, you'll-"

"I don't care." cut Ian fast. "He's your father and the alpha in Lykort. But not with me and my dad. He's not my alphabet. My Alpha is Oston Hector Laros, not your father. So remember my words Fred, and you know, I'm not playing around." Ian threatened.

Fred and Cayden fell silent. They know what Ian's saying is true, everybody. That Ian was much stronger than them and that upset Fred. Ian left them all and ran after Kei. Ian ran as fast as he could.

"Let's...!!" call him. Ian continued to run until he found Kei walking slowly in front of him. Ian touched Kei's shoulder.

"Let's..."

"Let go!!" Kei brushed Ian's hand off his shoulder and instantly accelerated his pace.

"Wait for me, let's go home together."

"No!! leave me alone!!" shout Kei. Ian knew Kei was furious now. Ian didn't know what to do. Ian's still following Kei.

"Can you stop doing that to me?" Kei stopped and looked at Ian.

"Do what? I'm just helping you and it's Kei's job." replied Ian.

"Stop making me look like a kid, look weak!"

"But I don't"

"I really hate you." Kei said at last. He knew it wasn't right, he just wanted Ian to get away from him. Kei is leaving.

"Okay, okay. Please hate me as much as you do Kei." said Ian making Kei stop his steps. "You can hate me but don't tell me to leave you because you know very well I can't even if I want to. You know your father's orders are absolute to me Kei, because he's my alph, not the king of Ordovic because me and your father have done the Kei wolf pact. And just so you know, you're not the only one who lost Dylan. Me too, Dylan is my best friend."

Kei was only speechless hearing Ian's words. Thas right. Dylan was Ian's best friend from childhood. They often practice fighting together, going to school, and sometimes doing chaos together. Ian was devastated by Dylan's departure. Ian was a very talented and powerful bodyguard, just like his father. King Ordovic even wanted to make Ian his bodyguard, but of course Ian refused because he had made a pact with his father Kei, and he also did not want to be on the side of the king who was greedy and cruel.

"Go away, don't follow me" Kei finally said. "For once, don't follow me. I want to be alone."
