Pandora's box

Tania ran in the forest after coming home. He did not go straight home but ran towards the big rock. Tania ran non-stop. Mind fucked. Tania slowly ran slowly, slowly and finally stopped. He's setting his breath. Tania stood leaning against the tree near her.

'Is that true because of me? What's the matter with me?'

Tania was ready to run again. His hand touched the tree he was holding. Half of the tree instantly blackened. Bian's surprised. He walked away from the tree and looked at his hand. His hand let out another purple smoke. Tania took out the purple gem that was taken from the Banshee and threw it into any place. He didn't want to keep it for longer.

There was a sound of snarling from behind him. Tania turned around and found two big wolves.

"Oh hi.." said Tania to the two wolves. The two wolves lowered their bodies, respecting Tania. They were soldiers on patrol and they recognized Tania as the mate Kei and their queen.

"I'm just walking around, don't mind me. Just do what you have to do hehe.. Uhm.. The assignment? The orders? Like that?" Tania was nervous and the wolf knew about it. The two wolves were still there and were staring at Tania confusedly. Tania realized that the wolf knew her nervousness. He gulped and took a deep breath to calm himself.

"I'm doing fine. I just want to take a walk to my favorite place, the big rock. You go. If there was something, I would shout." said Tania, this time in a firm, authoritative and certainly calm tone of voice.

The two wolves bowed respectfully and left. Tania breathed a sigh of relief. He looked at the blackened tree again. The tree only blackened at the bottom until the middle. Others normal. Tania stuffed her hand into the pocket of her night blue jacket and to her surprise, there was something on her jacket. He took out his jacket pocket and found the purple gem there. 'Ba-how... How the... '

"Your highness.." call someone. Tania quickly stuffed her purple gem into her jacket pocket and turned her head. There's Grace, a shewolf in charge of guarding Tania.

"Grace! Hi. "greet Tania while trying to smile.

"Why didn't you tell me you wanted to go home? And what are you here for? I'm following you home but you're not home" Grace said.

"Bad.. I'm just... Take a walk. I was bored and wanted to take a walk to the boulder, that's all" Tania said.

"You should have told me, so I could accompany you. You know, I was ordered to stay with you."

"Yes, I know. I'm sorry. But please don't be formal with me, at least not when we're just the two of you. It makes me uncomfortable."

"All right I mean.... Uhm... Ta's... Nia?"

"Metul Tania."

"But your honor, it feels disrespectful."

"Take me as your friend. Our age is not far away." Tania looked at me with a smile. "Don't think of me as a queen like they are Grace, we're not in a fairy tale. Let's just say I'm your friend."

"All right, I'll do it."

"Let's go home. L'm.. Uhmm no so go to the big rock. We go home" Tania said. Grace nodded in understanding. Tania was still putting both of her hands in her jacket pocket.

"It looks like this tree is almost dead." Grace muttered as she passed the blackened tree. Tania simply fell silent and walked over first while Grace followed her from behind. Suddenly Tania stopped and closed her eyes.

"Tania? Why stop?" ask Grace who is walking behind her. Tania opened her eyes and smiled faintly.

Tania turned around and strangled Grace. He pushed Grace's body into a large tree and pressed her down strongly. Tania grabs Grace's body, so Grace's feet don't step on the ground anymore. Grace struggled and tried to call Tania. But Tania's check was so strong and she was already barely able to breathe. Grace looked at Tania's eyeballs which turned deep purple. He was surprised, but he could not do anything. Tania's energy is incredibly strong, like it's not Tania. Grace's starting to limp in. He let go of his arms to Tania and was unconscious. Tania took her hand off Grace. Grace's body fell to the ground. Tania looked at Grace for a moment then smiled and left Grace to leave.

"Hurry up, we're traveling around this forest" said Livia.

"But Livia, why are we looking for Tania? What's the matter exactly?" ask Lily.

"I don't have time to explain Lily. We better hurry."

Livia moved very quickly. Lily tried her hardest. But Lily then stopped. His eyes caught something.

"Livia....!!!" call Lily. Livia stopped her steps and turned around. Lily came to what she saw. Someone's body. Lily approached the body.

"That's... Grace, who's keeping Tania, isn't she?" said Livia who had reached where Grace's body was.

"Yes, apparently. Why with?" Lily tried to touch him.

"Don't Lily, don't touch it. We don't know what makes it that way." stop Livia. "Look, his body is blackened. She's dead Lily."

"But who did all this?"

"I don't know, I..." Livia fell silent. He saw the remnants of purple smoke from Grace's neck. "It seems to have started."

"What?"

"Lily's actually...."

There was a growling sound. Livia and Lily looked over. The two soldiers who greeted Tania were there. The two wolves were furious.

"Wait a minute, this isn't what you think it is. You know me and her witch who supported your king. We're the chosen messengers to guard this city. And this..." Livia points at Grace's body. "This is not our doing. He was like this when we got there."

"Livia's right, we can't possibly hurt your members. So you better call your gamma or beta, hurry up!! We need to find out why he's like this."

One of the two wolves left and the rest stayed to watch over Livia and Lily. Livia and Lily just stood quietly beside Grace's body. Soon four wolves arrived. Everything instantly turns into a human, as well as the wolf watching over Livia and Lily.

"What's this?" beta George approaches Livia and Lily.

"We don't know. We just uhmm.... Patrolling." Livia lied. Lily looked at Livia in disbelief. "Then we found it like this."

"Livia was right, it wasn't us who did this." Lily tried to convince.

"I'm not accusing you. I know you're not going to kill our members" said beta George.

"But it seems like your soldiers don't think the same." Lily muttered.

"I'm sorry about them. They just don't know. They're always on patrol and rarely take care of anything else" said beta George.

Beta George approached Grace's body and examined her. He then sighed.

"What's beta?" gamma Roy sahut.

"He's dead."

"What's? But how can it be?"

"It seems like it's magic. I right?" ask her to Livia.

"I suspect it is like that too. There was purple smoke still on her neck earlier" Livia said. "And his body is blackened too."

"Then it's their fault, beta."

"Not Roy, I'm sure it's not them" said beta George.

"That's right! Not us."

"But not after the Banshee entered, this pack has been given a protective spell so that no supernatural beings enter? If this is magic, it must be among them beta! Who else? Just the two of them and the knirers."

"I'm going to use those Kinrers but it doesn't seem like they're beta. That's.. Magic is different" said Livia.

"Alright, we'll investigate further. We're taking Grace's body away. His family would have wanted to see him and bury him properly" said beta George. Two warriors and two gamma-soldiers immediately went to execute George's beta command. "And you two, don't worry. There must be something to explain here and we're not accusing you."

"Thank you beta. We'll also ask Knirer and investigate."

"Now, explain to me Livia" Lily said as the werewolves had gone far away. Livia made bubbles around her, making no one to hear them talk.

"Then?"

"You remember that Banshee grabbed Tania and said something?" ask Livia. Lily nodded her head. "Then Tania changed and I felt something strange in Tania."

"Augury's Witch."

"Right, because I'm a descendant of the witch Augury, so I can feel it."

"Then.. What did you take from the box?"

"Curse."

"Curse?"

"Yes, but I'm still not sure if Tania, was cursed or not. That's why I've been watching him for a few days."

"I don't know, I don't understand. I was always on guard like this the other night, and I left it to the knirer the next morning. But strangely every day there are bodies falling. Werewolves and ordinary people. All their conditions are the same, blackened. I never fell asleep or anything, I swear. But somehow, someone always dies."

"Did they die while Tania was home?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"So she's not Tania anymore."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean is... We're in big trouble Lily because my suspicions are right."

Alpha Sebastian, alpha Dustin, Kei, Zach and their betas and also their trusted gamma gather in the boardroom. They talked about the death that happened this three-day greeting.

"So how? What are we gonna do?" ask beta George.

"What about the beta investigation?" ask Kei.

"Dead-end. We don't know who did it." beta George replied.

"We've asked the Kinrers and their answer is the same, they don't know about this" Ian said.

"Of course I'm not going to admit what they did."

"Roy.." beta George's reprimand.

"I'm sorry, but this is clear. This pack is protected and this problem is caused by magic. The culprits were the witches."

"That's not necessarily" said alpha Sebastian.

"Alpha Sebastian is right. They help us then why do they kill our members? It doesn't make sense" Kei said.

There was a knocking on the door. An omega came in and bowed to them.

"What's wrong?" ask beta George.

"We received a report. Some soldiers found beta's body. Werewolves."

"Corpse again?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"We'll check the beta." Jake and some gamma came out of the room.

"If it's about magic, shouldn't we ask the witches for help? The elder? The chosen? Bian?" Zach. Kei turned his head and smiled then shook his head.

"Why is that?"

"We finish it our way. If we still don't find the answer, then we'll ask them for help."

"Alpha Dustin is right Zach" Kei said.

"Aahh well" said Zach at last. Kei smiled amusedly.

"Are we done? It's time we go to school" Kei said looking at his watch.

"Aahh right. We almost forgot that our king and pure alpha descendant are still in school."

"Yeah, that's it. Let's go, Zach." take Kei and leave.

"You're still in school, too, Ian? Doesn't Anne already know who you are and have accepted you?" ask alpha Sebastian.

"Yes that's alpha. But if I go to school, I can be with Anne constantly" Ian said with a happy smile.

"You're so weird" said beta George.

"Just let George, they're young and in love. We have to understand their weirdness" beta Simon said.

"You're right Simon. Kids who fall in love like to do weird things."

"Whoa... Look who's talking. You guys were like that too" said alpha Sebastian.

"That's true alpha."

Everyone in the room laughed.

"Where are their bodies?" ask Jake when he gets to where he is.

"Gamma fund." appoint one of the soldiers. Jake walked over to the pile of bodies. 

"There's at least five bodies in there, Jake" Mike said.

"I know Mike, who did all this?"

"Is it possible that Roy was right?"

"Livia, Lily and the knirers? Not likely... If they want to hurt us why now? Why not from before? They could have used the crystal and the whole pack would have died. Why one-on-one?"

"Kian's right. There's something wrong here and I'm sure it wasn't them who did it" Jake said. Jake turns to the soldiers who find them. "Have you looked for the smell?"

"It's gamma, there's no smell other than the smell that started the queen."

"Her Majesty the queen?" jake asked confusedly.

"Aaahh is not this the way to the great rock. Tania used to go there.".

"That's right."

"Bring their bodies back to their families and make sure they're buried well."

"Good, gamma."

"Come, let's report on beta."

"Anne..."

Ian hugged Anne when she got to class.

"Well, you're so romantic." praised Casey.

"Are you envious of Casey?" goda Anne's.

"Totally."

Anne and Ian laughed.

"Anne, have you seen Tania?" ask Kei who just entered the class.

"Uhmm no, I haven't seen her since the break."

"Where is he? I've been going around looking for him and he's not around."

"Tania has been weird these days" Casey said.

"Any? Why strange?" ask Kei.

"He did... Quiet." said Casey.

"Casey's right. I just realized it too. She didn't even speak a word today." added Anne.

"I'll look for him again." Kei walked out of class.

"Kei." call Ian. Kei stopped his steps. Ian came to Kei. "About the bodies found by the soldiers on patrol, their condition was exactly the same. Blackened, by magic."

"really?"

"Yes, alpha Sebastian just told me."

"What's this?"

"I don't know Kei. But we have to be vigilant. We're level of guard. There have been many casualties, both werewolves and ordinary humans."

"Do what Ian has to do."

"alright. Did you smell Tania?"

"It's been and I don't think it's here."

"Have you been looking outside of school?"

"I'll do it now."

"good. Be carefull. Let me know if there's a problem."

"okay."

Kei ran towards the forest behind the school. I don't know why his heart was pointing there. Kei entered the forest and sure enough, he started to smell Tania's scent. Kei followed Tania's scent. Suddenly, the wolf howls. Kei stopped his run. The howls are touching each other. Kei knew the meaning of the howl and immediately ran again through the forest. Kei is running faster.

'Kei, did you hear that howl?'

'I heard it.'

'Some of it goes into Kei's pack.'

'Vampires and they are many.'

'Go there first. Take Zach and the others. I'll find Tania and catch up with you.'

'okay.'

Kei decided on his mindlink and continued running. Kei still followed Tania's scent.

Kei's steps stopped. He saw Tania not far from him.

"Tania?" call Kei. Tania closed her eyes for a moment and then opened them again. Tania turned.

"Hi Kei."

"Oh baby... I've been looking for you everywhere." Kei came to Tania and hugged her. "Are you okay? Why are you here?"

"I'm just walking around."

"Why not tell me. I can accompany you." Kei said and let go of the hug.

"I just don't want to trouble you."

"You never troubled me Tania."

'Alpha.'

'Yes, Jake?'

'We found the body again.'

'What? Damnit damnit! What the hell is going on here? A body? A vampire? Take care of the body immediately Jake and then come to the border. Help the others.'

'Good alpha.'

"Key, why are you quiet?"

"You didn't hear it?"

"Hear what?"

"I was thinking Jake. Can't you hear the mindlink between werewolves? You should have heard that."

"really? I meani... Maybe because I'm not feeling well today."

"You sick?" Kei checked Tania's forehead. "Your body is not hot."

"Hmm I'm good now."

"All right then. We have to go and I'll take you to alpha Sebastian's house and stay there. There's a problem I have to take care of."

Kei turned himself into a wolf.

'Relove Tania.'

Kei lowered his body.

"What do you want?" ask Tania. Kei looked at Tania confusedly.

'Is it true that he did not hear me? The tania? Tania!!! He didn't hear me. It's freaky. There's something strange about him.'

Kei growled softly. He dismissed his bad thoughts.

"Aahh you want me to ride you? Alright."

Tania climbed onto Kei's body and held onto Kei's fur. Kei started running fast. Tania continued to hold on to Kei until she finally held onto Kei's back neck and took off her magic. Kei groaned in pain.

'Tania... Tania what are you doing?'

Tania did not hear. He kept holding Kei's neck. Kei stops his run and falls with Tania still on top of him. Kei started to limp and was helpless.

Suddenly Tania's body crashed into a tree.

"Look?! Kei!!" call someone. Kei opened his eyes. Slowly his body began to normalize. Kei turned into a human.

"Kids..."

"Are you okay?"

"Yes, but Tania..." Kei wanted to run towards Tania but Bian prevented him.

"Don't Kei!"

"But that's Tania!"

"Not Kei, he's not Tania anymore."

"What do you mean?"

"His body was taken over by Kei. She's not Tania anymore."

"You mean Tania's dead?"

"No, he's not dead. He's still there, but it's the creature that's got Tania."

Tania got up slowly. He looked at Bian and Kei. Kei was surprised to see Tania's dark purple eyeballs. Tania looked at Kei and Bian with an Angry look. There was a purple light coming out from Tania's body.

"What is he really?" mummy Kei.
