"I'm the one who should apologize." said Carlos without him noticing.

Ayana tightened her embrace on Carlos, but what the man didn't realize was, Ayanas gaze turned cold when he didn't see her.

At least with this, Ayana knew that what Dalia told her was true, about how to melt Carlos' heart.

And although what he predicted was not entirely true, but one thing was certain, which Ayana now realized, namely; Carlos had little feeling for her.

And that feeling is complicated, because there's something else Ayana doesn't know. Something about his past, the fire in the town of R he's been through and also about Juan.

It seems like the three things are related to each other and Ayana wants to know what it is, since she is involved in the secret.

"I'm sorry." said Ayana again, this time more shrewd than before.

Ayana knows about Bianca, the woman who filled Carlos' life for several years, as well as how their relationship ended. It seems Carlos is still being overshadowed by the memory.

And this is one of the things that makes his attitude very complicated, especially when he faces his feelings for Ayana.

Therefore, even though the feelings that Carlos has for him cannot be compared to Bianca, Ayana is willing to take risks and suppress her ego to get the attention of Carlos.

If Carlos can love Bianca so deeply, then Ayana will try to make this man love her in the same way.

Ayana then released her embrace to Carlos slowly and cupped her hands on the man's face.

On the other hand, Carlos did not understand what Ayana was going to do, but he let this girl stare at him for a while before Ayana leaned her body and kissed Carlos' lips gently.

Of course what Ayana did surprised Carlos. This was the first time Ayana took the initiative to kiss him or be so intimate with him.

With a furrowed forehead, Carlos looked at Ayana with an incomprehensible face. She tries to find the truth behind the gentle look in Ayana's eyes, but all she sees is sincerity.

Carlos no longer saw fear in the eyes of this girl. Fear that sometimes makes him feel angry and guilty.

And the more guilty Carlos felt for acting like a bastard to Ayana, the more frustrated and upset he became.

That is the complicated feeling that continues to struggle in Carlos mind every time he is with Ayana, or is mengumbukannya.

"You're not angry, are you because I kissed you?" ayana asked fearfully, while lowering her hand because Carlos did not give any reaction to what he had done.

Ayana questions herself.Dalia says little things like this Carlos need and Ayana will support him as long as he can avoid Carlos's tantrums if his emotions are unstable.

Carlos then touched Ayana's cheek and stared deeply into her eyes, so intense that the girl had to turn her face away.

Ayana felt that Carlos was looking straight at her into the recesses of his soul and she was afraid that this man could see the motive behind his sudden actions.

"Of course not" Carlos answered briefly. He put his finger under Ayana's chin and made her look at him. "But I want to know why you're doing that?"

Ayana's heart beat in her ear when she heard Carlos question and she ventured to look him in the eye again.

"I don't know what I'm wrong." said Ayana, starting her sentence. "The past few days, our relationship has been so good.but, when you found me with Juan, you turned angry and treated me like this.." Ayana said in a sad tone.

Meanwhile, Carlos did not cut out Ayana's sentence, he listened to this girl's words and tried to understand what she was really thinking.

"I.." Ayana looked doubtful as she was about to continue her sentence. "I know about the story between you, Bianca and Juan…"

Ayana again stopped talking, looking at Carlos to find out if this man was angry, upset or would even intend to punish him again.

However, to Ayana's relief, Carlos did not show any expression, or look angry as he carried the name Bianca.

Carlos did not say anything, as if waiting for Ayana to explain further.

"I didn't do anything with Juan.." Ayana finally continued her words. "He came up to me in the kitchen and started asking questions I didn't understand. I tried to get away from him, but he held me back."

Ayana charged Juan with all of this, but that's exactly what happened. Ayana did nothing to anger Carlos, so why should she be punished like this?

"But, she was holding me back. I tried to stay away. I really did nothing to attract her attention.." said Ayana with a downcast face, like a kid who gets blamed for things he doesn't actually do.

This of course made Carlos exhale heavily.

Of course he knew that Ayana did nothing to attract Juan, but her own existence was something Juan wanted.

Especially now, when Juan only needs one proof to prove that Ayana is indeed the girl he had been looking for, then the man will not stop until he gets it.

But, why is things getting complicated for Carlos now?

Wasn't Carlos' initial intention to hurt Ayana and inform and return Ayana to Juan when he was content to torture her?

However, Carlos heart was divided when he saw Ayana who was like this.

How could he hurt her like what he had planned if seeing her like this alone made him uncomfortable?

"You think I hurt you because I thought you were flirting with Juan?" carlos asked the girl who nodded.

Then without saying a word, Carlos distanced himself from Ayana and this made him confused.

Did he say the wrong thing? Did he take the wrong step again?

"Carlos," called Ayana in a soft voice. Ayana looked at Carlos who was walking away and disappeared behind the closed door.

Carlos's departure without a word made Ayana feel unsettled, she sat in the same position with her head bowed, but her eyes were giddy. Think hard, what should he do after this.

However, not long after, Carlos returned with a medicine box and sat back down beside Ayana.

"Don't move" he said as he poured alcohol over the cotton, to gently clean the wound on Ayana's face.
