...54. The change...
Dalia came over with a glass of mineral water for Ayana, when she came, the girl had finished half of her meal.
"Ayana, are you okay?" asked the middle-aged woman gently, she placed the glass she carried onto the table and covered her hands on Ayana's bruised face. "He hit you in the face." he said like a whisper.
It was not something that had to be said, because it was very easy to know about it, after all it was not new for Dalia to see Ayana in this condition.
Therefore, Ayana did not respond too much to his words. The girl finished her meal and drank the water from the glass beside her with an expressionless face.
Actually, this made Dalia a little confused, because she thought Ayana would start crying while she was here, just like she used to do.
But not this time.
Right now, Ayana looked very calm, as if she had nothing she should care about.
"Ayana, which other part was injured? I'll get you some medicine to clean your wounds" Dalia said with a worried face.
But, Ayana rejected the offer for a reasonable reason. "Carlos hit me in the face because he wanted others to see him" Ayana was sure the other person Carlos was referring to was Juan, although he did not understand why Carlos had to do this while he did not have any relationship with Juan. "If you treat my wounds now, Carlos will only make new wounds."
Given that Ayana is going to meet Juan tomorrow, it looks like she will have to make a decision quickly, regarding what she should do now.
"Then what can I help you with?" dalia asked with a frown, she was not used to facing a cold Ayana like this. "You asked Sam to meet me, didn't you?"
"Dalia.." said Ayana slowly as she put away her empty bowl and grabbed the glass of water beside her. "Can you help me?"
Dalia grimaced when she heard that. "You know, what I can do for you is very limited."
However, Ayana shook her head and drank her drink to the toilet, before she continued her words.
"This is something you can do, after all, you've offered me this favor" Ayana said. Her eyes flashed with determination and for some reason that Dalia did not understand, her heart beat faster just by looking at how Ayana looked at her.
"What's that?" ask Dalia carefully.
"My finger is how to melt Carlos' heart" Ayana replied.
Those words sounded like a completely harmless request, but the way Ayana said them as well as her facial expression, made Dalia shudder.
Ayana was planning something big and only she knew what she was going to do.
It may be true what the sages out there say, extreme circumstances and unbearable pain can change a person's personality…
Carlos half ran towards his apartment after he got out of the car. The man did not even stop or just glance at the guard there who greeted him.
What Abby told him over the phone really made him ride the apoplexy!
Sam went into his room without permission?! While inside the room there was only Ayana alone! What is that guy really thinking?!
Really brazen!
Of course Abby wouldn't tell you the truth if Sam went in there to bring Ayana some food, and he wasn't in the room long enough to do something he wasn't supposed to do.
Abby wasn't really lying, it was just that she framed her words in such a way that it sounded as if something was going on between Sam and Ayana.
Carlos was unable to think clearly when he heard what Ayana was saying. What he had in mind was; the shadow of him finding Bianca and Juan in tandem.
I don't know if it's Juan!
He doesn't like it when other people touch what's his!
With a bang, Carlos accelerated his footsteps…
Sam will be in big trouble this time, if he gets inside Carlos' room with Ayana.
"Sam?" call Abby, she walks over to the man who then lands a kiss on his forehead. "Why aren't you in the room? You're not accompanying Ayana?" he asked while staring uneasily at the door of Carlos' closed room.
"Why should I accompany him?" sam asked as he folded his hands and looked at his lover, astonished.
"I mean." Abby walked up to Sam and poked her arm around the man's neck in a spoiled manner. "Ayana must be going through a hard thing, why don't you go after her or just ask her to talk."
"Are you not his friend?" sam asked while holding Ayana's hip and leaning over her body to kiss the girl.
"But I'm afraid of Carlos." Abby said with a frown. "The man is terrible, but I also feel sorry for Ayana…"
"No need to think about it." said Sam, peeping at Abby's neck. They were in the corridor, in front of the room Carlos and Abby slightly pulled away while glancing at him. "It's none of our business."
"Hey, don't do this." Abby said in a soft voice. "Wait for me in the room, okay?"
Sam raised his eyebrows and looked at Abby. "You were seducing me while I was on duty?"
"Carlos is not here and we will do it quickly" Abby whispered in a low voice, throwing a mischievous look at Sam.
Sam laughed at how his lover was trying to persuade him.
"Then where are you going?" sam asked when he saw Abby walking away, not toward their room.
"I will prepare something for you" Abby replied immediately. "Just wait in the room."
"Okay" answered Sam.
However, the laughter on Sam's face faded as Abby disappeared behind the corridor.
Sam waited for a while before he opened Carlos' room door and told the two women inside.
"Carlos on the way here, you better get out now Dalia" Sam said in a voice that sounded furious.
This isn't the first time Abby has framed herself like this.
Of course, Sam wasn't so stupid as to not know that Abby looked at Carlos differently. The woman wanted Carlos and Sam to be unaware of it because she knew that Carlos would not be able to respond.
But this time it was different. Carlos could've killed him if he knew this and Sam didn't know what Abby told the unpredictable man.
