Nick squinted dangerously when he heard this and immediately moved away from Carlos.
“I agree to side with you because I don't like Juan, but if you treat me like this, then you're no different from him.” Nick pushed Carlos away and looked at him sharply.
“Of course I'm different from Juan. I'm not fucking Cassandra, am I? And don't forget, in this case, I understand your position,” Carlos said in meaningful words and Nick doesn't need a lengthy explanation to understand what Carlos means by that.
“Do not touch Cassandra,” her wrath.
Carlos then laughed when he heard the threatening tone from Nick. He raised his hand with a seemingly harmless smile. “Of course not. I won't even touch Cassandra if you don't betray me like you betrayed Juan.”
In a world like this, there is no one you can trust a hundred percent, because when you depend on that person and show your weakness, then at that very moment you will be used mercilessly.
This is the world Juan, Carlos and Nick live in and live in throughout the day and this is the world Ayana must learn to survive.
“I only need one thing from you. Find out about the girl's background,” Carlos said as he nodded towards the car. “And tell me first, and then you tell Juan this. I want all the information you get for Juan, make sure I hear it first.”
Nick snorted with a bang. They are both the same. When Juan threatens himself with his own life, Carlos threatens him with the woman he loves.
“I'll tell you in advance all the information I know, but if I find nothing in R city, I want you to set up an escape route for me and Cassandra. I'm going to disappear from this fucking world,” Nick. He was sick of being ruled by these people, but to get out of the organization without anyone's help, of course it was just an empty wish if not a death wish.
“Of course,” Carlos reassures Nick once again. “You don't have to worry about it. All you have to do now is go to R city and find out about the girl who got caught in the fire ten years ago.”
“You know that much?” Nick frowned, then he realized something. “Why don't you just ask him directly, where he came from and what happened, why do you have to bother making me look for answers that are already in sight.”
Nick felt so stupid that he realized this.
“Of course I've done that, unfortunately, the girl's memory hasn't been so good since the fire that hit her foster family, and I think that's the detail Juan wanted to hear if you could prove it,” reply Carlos.
For now, Nick still doesn't fully understand what Carlos wants, but of course he has no other choice and Carlos' hint is the only thing he has at the moment.
“Make sure you call me first if you find anything,” Carlos said as he patted Nick on the shoulder and walked away.
Carlos then gets into the car, starts the engine and drives away, leaving Nick alone between the dimness of the night and the garden lights.
It's a dangerous game, but Carlos has been looking forward to times like this. And again, he's sick of being Juan's second man.

“No,” Ayana replied in a soft voice, but her stomach voice said otherwise.
Ayana did feel a little hungry, but she could still bear it, only when Carlos mentioned it, it was precisely the hunger that became felt.
Hearing Ayana's stomach voice, Carlos laughed and stuck out his hand to randomize Ayana's hair. “You're really funny. Your mouth and stomach are not running in sync,” commented Carlos. “What do you want to eat?”
Hearing Carlos's soft and attentive voice made Ayana unable to believe her own hearing.
Is this the other side of Carlos again? Thought Ayana.
During her time with Carlos, Ayana has seen the evil, bad, vile, rude and heartless side of Carlos, especially when Carlos seeks her out drunk with the intention of completing her desires.
But, on the other hand, when Carlos was in this state of consciousness, he looked more human and looked normal. Sometimes Carlos will say something hurtful, but this kind of self will seem attentive, patient and pleasant.
Ayana doesn't understand why Carlos has such a complicated personality? It seemed like for one moment he would seem easy to approach, humorous and nurturing, but in the next second, he could turn a hundred and eighty degrees and become his ruthless and heartless self.
“Hey, I asked, what do you want to eat?” asked Carlos again, because Ayana did not answer him and just stared at him intensely.
“I... anything,” Ayana replied. His life so far, did not allow himself to be a picky person when it comes to eating. Therefore, whatever is presented to him, will definitely not be rejected as long as it is still feasible.
Carlos frowned at Ayana's reply and felt less pleased by such an uncertain answer. “Is there a particular food you want to eat?”
Carlos glanced at his watch while looking at the restaurant they passed by. It was only fitting that Ayana was starving, it was time for dinner, and Carlos could not remember the last time Ayana had eaten properly this whole day other than the milk and bread she had consumed during their time in the hospital.
Ayana looked at Carlos who seemed unhappy with the answer he gave, so she tried to remember when she had watched an event on television that broadcast a cooking show, so she was trying to remember, at that time, Ayana could only imagine the food, because it was certain Bertha would not let her eat the food.
“I want to eat crab..” Ayana replied in a soft voice. Then he hurriedly added. “If you may.. but, I don't mind eating anything..”.
Carlos laughed when he heard Ayana say that. “And I told you that you can eat whatever you want,” he said. “So crab?”
Ayana then nodded while smiling happily. If only Carlos had always treated him like this…
“Alright, we eat crab.” Carlos stretched out his hand and rubbed Ayana's head.
