Ayana really doesn't understand the way Carlos treats her. Sometimes this guy can be very rude and unpredictable, but then he'll behave very normally as if he has more feelings for Ayana.

 

The kiss on top of her bruise lasted for a few seconds before Carlos pulled away and tidied up Ayana's slightly tangled hair.

 

After that, he walked away towards the door. Ayana had no idea what she was doing or where she was getting it from, but once Carlos returned, in her hand was a dark hat.

 

Carlos then put the hat on Ayana's head and tidied her hair so that the wounds could be covered perfectly.

 

“Okey, now we can go,” said Carlos who then took Ayana's hand, out of the hotel room.

“What do you get?” juan asked Nick, who contacted him by phone.

 

Across the other side of the line, Nick's heavy voice could be heard. “Carlos took the girl to the hospital to check on the wounds she had inflicted.”

 

Nick tells Juan about Carlos' move after he leaves the hotel, but that's not what Juan wanted.

 

She wants the background of Ayana's life before she falls into their hands and falls into one of Carlos' ‘toy’, which she seems to really like for now.

 

Juan did not do this because he wanted to know everything related to Carlos or interfere in his personal life.

 

However, his instinct tells him that Carlos is hiding something about Ayana.

 

Starting from the lie that says that he has killed Ayana, when in fact the girl is being treated in one of the first-class rooms in a prestigious hospital in this city.

 

And again, Carlos' interest in Ayana is a little awkward according to Juan. She seemed to like the girl, but on the other hand, she did not hesitate to hurt him.

 

That's not Carlos' nature, especially when he likes something.

 

Bianca is a vivid example where Carlos won't even hold his hand too hard or raise his tone at the woman.

 

But, different things are actually experienced by Ayana.

 

The nature of Carlos towards Ayana is very contradictory and Juan feels this needs to be known more deeply. There was something Carlos was hiding from him and it made Juan feel challenged.

 

“Sorry boss, give me a little more time,” said Nick, asking Juan for understanding. “This girl has moved from one family to another too often, so it is enough to make the background of her life a little difficult to investigate. Not to mention its status as anomic..”.

 

“Nick,” call Juan with his deep voice.

 

“Ya?” at once Nick stops chattering and makes excuses when he hears Juan calling him. Although Juan does not use harsh words, or snapping, but his tone of voice like this is what Nick must anticipate more.

 

“Do you think I have time to hear your excuses?” juan asked, playing the black gun in his hand. The same gun he gave to Ayana, who in the end the girl used to point her at Juan's head.

 

Realizing his mistake, Nick apologizes immediately and promises to keep him updated on his investigation in less than a week.

 

“One week,” said Juan while daydreaming. “If you can't get any useful information, then I will cut off one of your fingers in one day of your delay.”

 

 

But, Juan's words made Nick shudder and feel pain at each tip of his finger. Because he knew for sure that Juan would really do what he said.

 

“Good. One week and I will give you good news,” said Nick with a hurry and a slightly vibrating voice.

 

“Hm,” murmured Juan. He hung up the phone and placed it on the table, then looked at the twilight hue in the distance from his office window.

Ayana has finished her examination and the Doctor tells Carlos to avoid getting pregnant first during this one month. Because what Ayana was experiencing first left a wound and quite a harmful effect.  

 

Ayana knew exactly what effect Doctor Nicolas was referring to; it would be difficult for her to conceive of what had befallen her at that time.

 

It was not that Ayana wanted to have a child, but the situation made it impossible to take care of anything else, especially when the child was born from this kind of relationship.

 

Ayana herself was wondering. What would Carlos react if he became pregnant. Although he is said to be difficult to have offspring, but the small possibility is still there.

 

If true, then perhaps Carlos will ask him to abort the fetus.

 

Ayana touched her stomach instinctively. I feel scared until that happens. Perhaps, his miserable condition was one of the things he should be grateful for, at least there would be no other innocent souls who would suffer with him.

 

Ayana and Carlos are currently in the car. They drove through the traffic jam at night, without a single sound being heard in the car. As if both were silent.

 

When Carlos focuses his attention on the road before him, Ayana will explore in her subconscious, thinking about the possibilities that will happen to her life.

 

Until, their silence, which was motivated by the sound of the engine of a speeding car, slowly faded as Carlos drove the car out of the main road, towards a quiet street in a housing estate.

 

“Where are we going?” ayana asked confusedly, looking around her curiously. Although this is the first time Carlos invites him out of the apartment, but Ayana knows that this place is not the way to the apartment that Carlos lives.

 

Especially when Carlos turned the reins of the car and took the quieter streets, heading for the park in the estate that seemed to be no longer in use.

 

“This is not the way home,” said Ayana, her voice very soft, while her eyes wildly stared out the window, into the dark night.

 

His heart beats fast when Carlos stops his car right under a deserted street light and turns off his car.

 

“Wait here,” Carlos said in a low voice, then opened the seatbealt and got out of the car.

 

Ayana did not answer, but her eyes looked at her dark surroundings. He doesn't want to be left alone.

 

Where's Carlos going? And what's he doing in a place like this?

 

While squinting her eyes, Ayana followed the movements of Carlos who turned out to be approaching someone. The man was wearing a black jacket, but even from a distance Ayana could still recognize him.

 

That was Nick.
