The next day, Carlos actually brings Ayana home, out of the hospital, even though Dr. Nicolas says that while Ayana still needs extra care, Carlos doesn't care about it at all.
“Come out,” Carlos said while holding the door open for Ayana, the smile on her face never faded, but that doesn't mean Ayana's days after this will get better. It was just a demonic smile that would lead Ayana to hell.
Without waiting to be ordered twice and not wanting Carlos to lose his temper and then punish him again, Ayana immediately got out of the car and stood beside Carlos with her face down, bowed, hiding a pale hue that indicates that he is still not healthy.
“Let's go inside Babe,” Carlos said sweetly, one who does not know the true circumstances will think that Carlos is the lover of Ayana and has treated her very well.
But all these pretenses are only Ayana who knows. If Carlos decides to change his attitude to the monster that Ayana met that night, then there is nothing he can do to prevent it.
Carlos then pulled Ayana over and kissed her forehead, hugging her waist as they stepped into the lobby of the apartment where Carlos lived.
Although this is not the first time Ayana is here, but this is the first time for her to enter the apartment Carlos in a conscious state.
After arriving, Carlos immediately pulled Ayana inside and locked the door quickly, then pushed Ayana's body into the closed door.
The girl had to bite her own lips to prevent any screams from being heard, she was still afraid of this man and did not want the screeching sound to upset Carlos.
“Listen,” Carlos said slowly, imprisoning Ayana's body between her two hands and staring at the girl inside. Now, the terrifying Carlos is back. “I don't want to bother taking care of you, so you pretty much know one thing.”
Carlos stopped talking and touched Ayana's trembling jaw in fear. He waited until Ayana gave him a response, and only after the girl nodded her head did Carlos continue his delayed words.
“You know enough that you will not be able to get out of this place without my permission and if you try to escape, then I will not hesitate to shoot you in the head,” Carlos said, but then he shook his head, denying his own words. “No. No. gabe. You're not gonna die that easy, what if I gave it to the bodyguards. Compared to what I do, the things they will do to a girl like you will be much more ‘embekas’.”
Ayana does not need to ask or get further explanation about what Carlos means by ‘membekas’, because she can already imagine the worst possibility of it.
“If you survive those bodyguards, then you are lucky, but that does not mean you will be able to escape from the second, third and so on rounds until you die at their hands.” Carlos tucked Ayana's hair behind his ear and could feel that the girl was trembling in fear over what he said, of course this made Carlos happy. “So, you got it, right?”
Ayana immediately nodded her head. His eyes stared at Carlos' chin, too afraid to look directly into his violent eyes.
“Good girl,” Carlos said with a smile and lowered his head, kissed Ayana's lips and moved away from her.
As soon as Carlos moved away and disappeared from his sight, Ayana immediately fell down, as if her two legs were no longer able to withstand the weight of her body.
Ayana did not cry, only her eyes stared blankly at the floor before her. Carlos' words continued to ring in his ears, like a chant that would continue to stick in his brain stem.
Ayana had no idea how long she had been sitting there and she was also unaware as someone moved closer to her.
Surprised, Ayana instinctively brushed off the hand that touched her and looked in fear at the woman before her.
“Do not be afraid, my name is Abby.” Said the woman who looked to be around twenty-five years old. “Come, I'll take you to your room.”
But, Ayana shook her head. If the room he was going to occupy later was the same room as Carlos, then he better sit here forever.
As if Abby could read Ayana's worries, she explained. “Do not be afraid, the room you will occupy is a different room from Carlos. You'll have your own room.”
Ayana was still in disbelief and unwilling to move, but Abby's next words made her reluctantly comply, it seemed like this girl understood very well how to deal with girls like Ayana.
“If you stay here, Carlos will see you, he will not be happy to see you like this, you will get a punishment,” Abby said in a soft voice, dramatizing the effect given. “You won't want to know what punishment Carlos will give. If you're going to hide, hide in your room.”
Hearing that, Ayana immediately stood up and moved around in agitation, this made Abby smile gently and hold her hand to enter the spaces within this place.
Without Ayana noticing clearly, she already knew that this place was a luxurious and stunning place, but no one could catch his attention at this moment when he was inside the wolf den.
Everything looks dull and unattractive. Even the view of the city behind the large window on the side of the room that stretched from the floor to the sky-sky, unable to attract Ayana or divert her mind from the shadow of the days she will pass later.
“This is your room,” Abby said as she opened the door to Ayana's room.
Ayana did not care so much about the room she was going to occupy, even if she had to stay in the warehouse, she would not mind it as long as Carlos left her alone and did not bother her anymore.
“Thank you,” muttered Ayana, about to hastily close the door, but Abby held her back while smiling gently.
“What's your name?” Abby asked.
Ayana raised her head and looked at Abby for a moment before she finally said softly. “Ayana.”
“Okey, then Ayana. I'll come back here and deliver food for you and if Carlos leaves, maybe you can explore this place.” Abby then added with a slice. “Of course you better not try to escape.”
Ayana nodded in understanding. It looks like Abby could be a friend.
However, is there really a word ‘friend’ in a situation like this?
