Juan had been waiting inside the apartment for ten minutes, it was Dalia who opened the door, but because she told him that Ayana was in the room with Carlos, she said, so he decided to wait there.
Juan turned his head from his laptop screen when he heard his name called, and it turned out to be Ayana. “I assume you didn't try to kill him this time?” he said in a denouncing tone.
Ayana really was not wanting to argue with this man, let alone be reminded of the incident that morning.
And so, with a polite nod, Ayana went towards the kitchen with a tray in her hand and wanted to immediately enter the room, hiding there until Juan left.
But, what he did not know was, the man followed him into the kitchen and sat down at the counter, where Carlos used to sit, while cupping his hands on his chin, looking at Ayana.
Ayana tried to ignore the glare of the sharp eyes that were staring at her, but could not, as she felt that the look in those eyes seemed as if it was making a hole in the back of her head, making herself feel uncomfortable.
Finally, when Ayana had finished washing Carlos' dishes and used glasses, in a hurry, Ayana intended to rush away from there, but Juan blocked his way by deliberately stretching his legs and making Ayana almost fall down.
“Argh!” Ayana squealed loudly as her face almost fell to the floor, but swiftly, a hand held her back, preventing her from falling.
Gently, the hand pulled him and helped him to stand back, while still holding his waist.
“You okay?” juan asked in a sinless tone, putting on a facial expression as if he was worried, even though it was because of her that Ayana almost fell down.
“Away from me,” hissed Ayana while pushing Juan's body away from her.
But, unexpectedly, Juan actually released his grip on Ayana's waist suddenly, making the girl again lose her balance and completely fall with a position sitting on the floor.
Rather than pain, the shame made Ayana growled over Juan's actions. What does that man mean to do this?!
Still sitting on the floor, Ayana looked at Juan fiercely as she lifted her head and all she found was Juan, who was smiling with contempt while folding both hands in front of her chest.
“Why?” juan asked, shaking his head. “Aren't you the one who asked me to let you go?” ask Juan again. “Now you want to protest?”
The person out there, would not believe it when looking at this side of Juan's personality, he did not usually appear so relaxed with a lazy smile etched on his face.
Ayana clenched her jaw and immediately moved back as Juan knelt before her and gripped Ayana's jaw in the grasp of her large hand.
The girl tried to pull the hand away, but her face hurt because Juan tightened his grip.
“Tell me, have you ever lived in R?” city juan asked, this time the relaxed expression he had shown a few seconds ago had disappeared, replaced with a serious and stiff face that could make Ayana's heart pound with fear.
And one more thing that made Ayana uncomfortable was; their position was so close. They were so close that Ayana could smell the masculine scent of the parfume Juan was wearing.
“Have you ever lived in R city?” ask Juan again. “Jawab me,” sue.
But why should Ayana? Things would be strange if she was the girl Juan had been looking for.
And there's only one way to find out about it. Juan's eyes then looked at Ayana's waist.
“What are you doing?!” Ayana shrieks loudly and tries to keep Juan away from her, as the man's hand attempts to remove the clothes that Ayana is wearing. “Lease!”
Ayana was about to cry as Juan held both hands easily in one hand, while her other, trying to lift her clothes.
Unfortunately, before Juan's attempt was successful, he felt something was approaching him, and based on instinct, Juan immediately turned his body to fend off a kick that was targeted at his head from Carlos.
“Away from him!” raung Carlos with anger. He looked breathless because of the fever he was still suffering from and the influence of drugs that controlled his system and made the man become sleepy.
Carlos woke up when he heard Ayana's first screech and tried to find her, but as soon as he left the room, he heard a small commotion from the kitchen.
While Dalia was out of nowhere, Carlos sped up his footsteps as soon as he heard Ayana's voice return.
“Why?” Juan asked in a calm voice, but behind that calmness, Carlos knew there was danger lurking around him. “I just want to make sure of something,” Juan said.
“You do not need to make sure anything,” said Carlos grimly, he walked towards Ayana and tidied up her clothes that had been exposed, lucky, he said, the open part is not the part where Juan can see Ayana's waist.
“Why?” Juan leaned against the counter behind him while crossing his arms in front of his chest, staring at Carlos with meaningful eyes. “I just want to know if she ever lived in R city, ten years ago?”
Carlos' jaw was hardened when he heard this, but a second later he was acting normal, then he swiftly helped Ayana up and said to her in a low tone and left no room for negotiation.
“Back to your room,” says Carlos.
“Stay here and answer my question,” Juan said. Withholding Ayana's departure. “Did you ever live in the city of R, ten years ago?”
Carlos clenched his jaws tightly, until his teeth chattered when he heard Juan's words. He doesn't understand where Juan got the information, but if it came from Nick, he should have told Carlos first, right?
Juan seemed to be able to hear what Carlos was thinking when he again said while turning his attention to Carlos, who was now letting Ayana stand behind him, as if Juan would pounce on the girl if he were just off guard.
Or maybe he did.
“Don't believe what you believe, Carl, you know the first rule in our organization. Nothing is forever. And don't trust anyone,” Juan said in a cold tone. “Now, tell me, who is he?” Juang nodded towards Ayana. “Why are you so protective of him? And what are you looking for in R?” city
