Mission Jessy

Mission Jessy
Mirza and the Past

(Four years ago)

At that time Melva was still sitting in the second grade of Junior High School in one of the best public Junior High School in Surabaya. He gets to know Mirza who happens to be one of Lili's private teachers. Lili often invites Melva to study together so that Melva often meets Mirza.

One day Melva was lined up to become one of the participants of the mathematics olympiad held at the Merdeka campus. And incidentally, Mirza, who was already studying at the Merdeka campus, was believed to be one of the organizing committee of the math olympiad.

Mirza specifically welcomed Melva's arrival, helped her register and also encouraged her to achieve the highest score and become the first champion.

Not only because of the Olympics, Universitas Merdeka holds many memories for them. Mirza often takes Melva to her college after school. He then invites Melva to sneak into his class secretly.

Melva who is still Junior High is often invited to hang out with Mirza's friends and be treated like a sister together. Not infrequently Melva suddenly came alone to campus and accompanied Evan who was completing tasks with his friends until night.

Mirza is actually only four years older than Melva, but she always entered in the class and successfully completed her High School less than two years. He was later accepted to the University of Merdeka and graduated with a bachelor's degree in just three years.

When Melva graduated Junior High School and entered High School, Mirza was forced to move to Jogja to continue her S2. They then promised to meet again at Merdeka University later.

Once, Melva promised to meet Mirza who was about to return to Jogja, at the station. But until the train leaves, Melva does not come to see him without news. Arriving in Jogja, he tried to contact Melva, but her number was always inactive. He never sent a letter back.

A few months later, he heard that Melva had moved to Jakarta. He managed to get Melva's address and found her there. But the girl avoided him and said that she already had another lover.

Mirza suffered a heartbreak and deep loss without knowing the cause. From then on, he became very cold and quiet. He was never interested in any girl. He accelerated his S2 and immediately applied at the University of Merdeka upon graduation. He hopes that Melva will one day return to him and explain all the misunderstandings that led him to leave Mirza.

After waiting and hoping for a long time, in fact, that day all his hopes ran aground as well. Melva did come back but did not remember her at all. They become strangers who do not know each other. The current Melva is no longer the Melva she used to know. His love now claps one hand.

When Mirza refuses to give up and is determined to make Melva remember her again, another harsh reality hits her. The girl confessed that she was married to another man.

This is where Mirza now, shutting herself in her room all by herself.

*******

Tong Ting

The sound of the Bell disturbed Mirza's hermitage and almost upset her. He lazily and with a chaotic appearance, got up and opened the door of his house.

"Mirza's Afternoon!"

"Aldo?" Mirza did not expect that Aldo would come to her house.

He then sees someone else behind Aldo, "Melva?"

Mirza hurriedly closed the door, tidied up her clothes and hair, closed the door of her room, then reopened the door.

"Sori, I'm surprised to see you guys. Didn't know you'd come here." Mirza's looking for a reason. "Lake in!"

"Mas Mirza how are you?" asked Aldo who was sitting on his couch.

While Jessy, instead of sitting, he went around looking at the entire house of Mirza. Wall decoration arranged in such a way, the laying of chairs, tables and carpets that are so symmetrical and balanced, as well as the arrangement of furniture that is calculating and unusual.

"Cool the arrangement." praise Jessy.

"What?" If only Mirza had forgotten that Melva had lost her memory, she would have almost laughed at her attractiveness.

"This is Mas Mirza himself? Why is it like this?" ask Jessy when looking at the carpet that is placed resembles a rhombus instead of a square like in general.

"Neo know."

"Can't you know?"

"Are you rich?"

"What?!" Now Jessy can understand if it was Melva.

The girl also arranged her room strangely. Putting her beauty care bottle randomly and in a mess. Unorganized from small to large or high to low as in general.

If Melva who is still Junior High has helped Mirza organize her house, it means their relationship is very close and serious. Then how does Melva feel when she forces herself to leave Mirza whose father turns out to be involved in the death of Lili, her own best friend.

On one side Melva felt heavy leaving Mirza without being able to give her an explanation. But on the other hand, he feels very evil if he continues to be with the man whose father killed his best friend. Jessy's mind drifted everywhere.

He doesn't know if he should have told Mirza about the real situation. She could not imagine how Mirza would react if she knew what her father had done. Then will Mirza choose to trust Melva and hate her own father or vice versa.

And what about Jessy's true feelings. Does he really like Mirza as a woman's liking of men or just sheer admiration. Or how he will express his feelings to Mirza with Melva's body that once rejected and disappointed him.

"Mell! You why? How bengong?"

"Ah, no papa, Mas. I'm trying to remember when and how I could do this whole thing, set up a house like this. But I don't want to."

"Don't be too forced!" Evan brought three drinks to the living room.

Jessy immediately follows Mirza to the living room.

"So what do you need to come here?" ask Mirza without further ado.

"Oh, that... Anu's... Eeehs.. "

"Oh, that... So gini, Mas. Melva has long been looking for old reference books. I've taken him to Jalan Semarang, but no one has a tokopun. I brought him here because I thought Mas Mirza had a lot of rare books."

'Tumben lo pinter, Do?!' praise Jessy in your heart.

"Oh, what's the title?"

"Basic of Mathematical Arguments and Proofs." Jessy replied loudly.

"What?! Do you remember that book?"

Now it's Jessy's turn to be confused. Why did Mirza ask like that? What's with the book? He only mentioned one of the titles Melva wrote in her diary.

"Well?!" Jessy suddenly covered her gaping mouth with a palm in surprise.

He just remembered that Melva only wrote the title of the book on one full page without any other information. And if it is not wrong remember it is not far from the time he recounted his arrival to the house of Mirza.

'Is it possible that the book also has something to do with Mirza?' inner Jessy.

"What's the matter, Mom?" tanya Aldo broke the silence between Mirza and Melva.

"Oh, it's nothing. It's one of Melva's favorite books. He borrowed the book from me. But it's been a long time."

"Oh, but I've returned, haven't I?"

"Yes already." Mirza smiled, then got up towards her reading room.

Soon he returned with an A4-sized book hundreds of pages thick.

"That's a book or a pillow, Mom? tebel very?" asked Aldo innocently.

'Is it possible that Melva really likes a book that thick? It's worth his brain is rich in lubricants, fast without obstacles. The oil was as big and as beautiful as that.' Jessy's inner self again.

Mirza then handed the book to Jessy and suddenly a paper folded in such a way fell from the book.

"What's that?" ask Mirza while picking up the paper.

He then opened it and read it carefully. The look on his face changed instantly, his eyes glazed over. He finished reading it, looked at Melva for a moment and hurriedly entered his room.

"What the hell is it, Mel?" ask Aldo.

"Ngga knows, Do. But it doesn't seem like a good time to visit. Let's go home!"
