Wrong People

Days go by and Jessy still can't understand why James gave her such drugs and why he had them.

On the other hand, he could not deny that he still loved the vile man. Since his mother died seven years ago, only James has always been faithful to his side. Her cousin even went to Jessy's school to become a guardian and get Jessy's report when her father was busy and could not come.

He also always looks after and accompanies Jessy when sick, giving everything Jessy wants even though it is sometimes a bit difficult to meet like when Jessy is sick and wants a five-foot snack near her apartment in Singapore.

James is willing to take a short trip to Singapore just to get what Jessy wants. The man who is also a swimming athlete like Jessy is always loyal to hear all the complaints Jessy and managed to make Jessy feel valuable when her father looks completely indifferent whether he is dead or alive.

They even eventually decided to date secretly from their parents because they did not want to be banned and separated from each other. For Jessy, James is everything - brother, family, friends, best friend, father and lover.

That man is the whole world to Jessy. Jessy had even intended to elope and leave her father if her marriage to James was challenged.

Nonetheless, neither James nor Jessy could have more than an undisclosed relationship like an illicit one. Because if the news about their closeness is sniffed by the media, then his second career as a swimming athlete will be over.

It's just that now Jessy just realized that she doesn't know anything about the man who knows everything about her. He does not know that James is having an affair with another girl nor does he know that James is taking drugs.

Now, Jessy was really sorry for just finding out after it was too late. Whatever he would do to James later, he would no longer be able to bring things back and fix things. His relationship with James had run aground before it was built.

What's worse is, he's still expecting the man who ruined his life. Jessy was crying in her room. His chest tightened again as his inner fight and wits conflicted.

"Geo can be rich! I have to see James." Jessy muttered

At first he wanted to swim back to get close to James. Because in the past, it was also the reason and motivation Jessy to practice swimming. But now things change. He was in Melva's body, so he didn't need a reason to meet someone completely foreign to him.

Jessy's sure everything's gonna be okay. He just needs to act as Melva, a person James has never met before, with a big fan excuse. So he could ask a lot of things without being awkward to James.

Jessy was so excited that day. First because his name was included in one of the students who would go to the acceleration class next semester and also because of that day, he decided to meet James at the place where he used to do swimming exercises.

That day Jessy tried to be nice to Fania. No matter what Fania said and did to him, he kept trying to calm down and treat Fania well. Jessy even gave Fania a cheat during the physics exam.

"Lo why the hell? Lo's trance? Make goosebumps."

"Gue just wants to go to your house after school. Can you, Fan?"

"Crazy, you?! Don't want to. Why would I want to go to my house? Don't dream!"

"Gue will tell Mr. Evan so he wants to go along. How's it?"

Fania looked shaky. Despite his doubts, he very much hoped that Melva would fulfill her promise. "Seriously, right?"

Jessi blinked her eyes in agreement.

After school, Melva came with Fania to her house. Upon arriving there, they meet Fania's father who is on a rampage because her brother complained that Fania damaged his favorite tablet.

Fania cries and resolutely rejects her brother's accusation. But his father did not want to know and instead slapped Fania who ended up even hitting Melva because the girl intended to banish Fania.

"Father!"

Papa Fania felt bad about being misdirected, but he was too proud to say sorry. So he chose to hurry away leaving his two children and also Melva.

"Mel, you don't papa?"

"Papa's mother."

"I'm sorry to say yes?"

"Did you start my room?" Fania is suspicious but still lets Melva know and goes inside her room.

Jessy's right. Fania has a complete makeup kit just like Jessy expected. He immediately sat in front of the mirror and started polishing his face nicely. He also straightened his hair with Fania's vise.

"So you're here, okay I'm just doing this?"

Jessy nodded while blushing in embarrassment. "Gue there's a date."

Fania immediately nodded. "Don't tell me that you're gonna fuck Evan!"

"Yes nggalah. I don't like old leaves. Haha.."

"Make it for elo." Fania gives Melva her hair as a gift.

Melva hummed along the road to where James used to train. She hoped that he would be there and meet her. Everything was good despite having to change three times angkot and city buses, until finally he met with Evan in the parking lot of the OverSea swimming club.

"Melva?"

"Sir Evan? Why are you here?"

"I should ask why are you here? I have the same business as my friend, Coach Robi."

"What's? You know coach Robi?"

"Do you know him too?"

"Neither." Jessy was almost lost.

It's possible that coach Robi will recognize Melva's body.

'Stupid base!' Jessy muttered in her heart.

"You?"

"Oh, I want to see a friend. It just so happens that he's a member of the club here."

Evan observed Melva's appearance that afternoon. Although still wearing school clothes covered with sweaters, her thin makeup and straight hair made her look very different. "Yes, if so I go in first."

Jessy walks into the pool area and her guess is right. James was there with friends Jessy knew. He chose to sit in the stands and wait for James to finish training because immediately coming and hugging James would definitely make him confused.

About twenty minutes later, James came out of the pool and looked as if he was looking at Melva sitting down.

And what happened after that was beyond Jessy's expectations. James approached and hugged her tightly.

His eyes looked teary, "You how are you? Wherever anyway? I've tried so many times to call you but I can't."

Jessy budging. He was happy because James was the only person who looked so happy when he met him, exactly what he expected. At once Jessy fell asleep and forgot her original purpose of meeting the man. He could not lie that he still loved his cousin very much.

"Mel, are you okay? Why did you disappear after that day? I'm so worried about you."

Jessy took her hand out of James's. The man just called her Mel. Maybe he heard it wrong?
