Mission Jessy

New Stage

(A few days earlier)

After celebrating her graduation party from High School, Jessy who wants to enter the University of Indonesia, deliberately cleaned her room to change the atmosphere while waiting for the selection of state universities.

He wants to rearrange his room and throw away things he doesn't need. Unintentionally, Jessy finds Melva's diary among a pile of books in a small brown cardboard box.

Jessy opened it and read it slowly. He then senses that he is getting to know Melva, what she is going through, how she feels and what she wants during her life. Though a little late, Jessy feels grateful for still having the chance to recognize her new self.

Jessy recalls everything she's been through lately. He has set his life mission and managed to make it happen one by one with Evan. But he forgot that he could go through all that because of Melva's body.

After reading Melva's diary, Jessy realizes that the life she has now should not be about herself alone. Maybe he was not destined to become a world-class professional swimming athlete as he had dreamed.

Maybe God wants him to help Melva to realize her dream of becoming a math teacher graduate from one of the technical universities in Surabaya, a place that leaves so many memories for a Melva.

Jessy closed Melva's diary she had not yet read carefully so thick.

"Okay, Mel. Now it's our turn to make the mission of your life one by one!" jessy muttered as she looked at herself smiling in front of the mirror.

That day Jessy went to see James at the rehab center. He wanted to see the man before leaving Jakarta for the umpteenth time. Once hesitant to step foot into the place where James is, Jessy finally resolved to complete her mission.

"Mella?!" james asked when he finally met Melva in the visiting room. "I'm glad you came. How are you?"

"Good."

"Aren't you doing me?"

"Make what something is certain. You look so happy to be here."

"How come you're talking about that, Mel?"

"Wrongly? You're supposed to be in a much worse place than this."

"Mails...."

"Lo has already killed me and killed Jessy and I won't let you get away with it."

"Mell! Keep your word! I may not have intentionally slept in elo. But that's what we do on the basis of liking. And as for Jessy, I don't know anything about Jessy's death."

"lik! That day you accidentally gave Jessy the cure until she died."

"Mell! What do you know about me and Jessy?! He's having an acute panic attack and I just give him a sedative."

"Drugs what you mean?"

James stared at Melva sharply. He realized that he could no longer mess with the naive girl. "If you still want to continue to digress, I will not hesitate to sue you for slander and defamation."

Jessy laughed wider. "Seriously you need me?! Sure you're not the one who's gonna be arrested right away because I open my mouth?"

James did not know that Melva who used to be very obedient now turned into a girl who was very brave and scary for him. Fighting is certainly not a good thing for James, given the difficult situation at the moment.

"Listen Mel. You don't know anything about me and Jessy. So I hope you don't interfere with Jessy's death. It's not all as you think. I never hated or had a grudge against Jessy. So I have no motive to kill him."

"Keep, why do you give him a drug that I'm sure you must know that it's forbidden and dangerous?"

"Gue just wants to remember Jessy. But I didn't intentionally give him the wrong medicine. I swear I have no intention of killing Jessy."

"He's my cousin."

"That's all?"

"What do you mean?"

Melva stared at James bullying and it made James feel uncomfortable. "Okay, I'm dating him. Long before I knew Elo."

"So you cheated on me?"

"You're different. I know I was wrong, but I didn't mean to get this far, Mel. Plis, understand me!"

Jessy's cynical laughter was heard again, "Lo has ruined two girls' lives without sinning and now you ask for dingertiin. Lo healthy?"

Jessy is about to leave James, knowing it's useless to talk to that jerk. It will only make him more upset and emotional.

"Wait, Mel. I'll tell you one secret about the cause of your accident. As long as you promise not to mention Jessy's death again."

After all the preparations were done, Evan drove his wife and in-laws to move to Surabaya. He has prepared a contract that is not too big but quite comfortable for Jessy and Rahma to live in. There is a small terrace overgrown with many shady trees and grass that is green and neatly arranged.

With just a quick glance, Jessy knew exactly that the house must have been very well cared for by its owner. And what Jessy liked more was that the house was located not far from the campus where Melva was going to study. So he only needs to ride a wind bike or walk if he wants to go to college, because he does not dare to ride a motorcycle alone even though Evan has also prepared a motorbike matic for him.

"Where, Mel? You likey?"

"That's a pleasure, brother. Comfortable home. Isn't that right, Mom?"

"Yes to Evan. The house is clean and comfortable. And the important thing is that it's close to Mel's campus."

Evan smiled proudly at his efforts to find the rented house.

"But, Brother. How can Kak Evan get rented at the campus gini deket? Not most of the houses here are the official homes of the lecturers and deans?"

"Udah, just calm down. It's secure. I got a record from a trusted friend. So you don't have to think macem." Evan rushed to put Melva's belongings into his room.

"The room is very comfortable, brother. The window faces the page."

Evan approached Jessy who was still standing in front of the window after opening it, then hugged her from behind. "I've considered everything and I want you to stay here so you can focus on college."

"Sister Evan would come here a lot, right?"

Evan flips Jessy's body, "I'll come straight here whenever I get a chance. So don't try to get out of the house without permission and news! Because I don't want to buy tickets for nothing."

Melva wrapped her hands around her husband's waist, "Ready Brother Boss!"
