Azzam seemed agitated while going back and forth in front of the door of the IGD room, he was increasingly worried thinking about the state of his wife in there.
Yes, Azzam was still confused considering the incident earlier. What's wrong with Alana? Did the accident the other day leave Alana paralyzed? But at the shop, Alana looks fine.
Azzam was aghast as the door of the room suddenly opened. A doctor came out, and Azzam quickly approached him.
"How's my wife doing, Doc?" azzam asked with a worried look.
Before explaining Alana's condition, the doctor sighed and threw her away slowly.
"Nothing serious, he was just in shock, which is why he fainted. But his leg-"
"Why with my wife's legs, Doc?" cut Azzam.
"It seems that next to your wife's feet is paralyzed. Has he had an accident before?" ask the doctor.
"Yes, but he disappeared after that. I don't know what happened to him" Azzam replied as he was.
The doctor frowned, puzzled at Azzam's unreasonable reply. How can a husband not know his wife? What kind of husband is she?
Azzam lowered his head for a moment, he understood the intent of the doctor's gaze.
"Can I come in?" azzam asked to switch the conversation, he just wanted to look at Alana and ask her what happened exactly.
"Please!" the doctor replied as he shifted to make way for Azzam.
Azzam raised the corner of his lips to form a thin smile and passed the doctor just like that. While setting foot on the floor of the room, Azzam's chest gurgled as fast as a marathon run. He doesn't know how to deal with Alana after everything that happened between them.
A nurse who saw the arrival of Azzam immediately resigned, she left the couple alone.
After closing the door, Azzam walked up to Alana with shaky steps, his legs trembling, his chest tightening and his wife's body stiffened above the gurney.
Azzam stood beside the gurney and grabbed Alana's hand, his heart breaking at the plain face of his pitiful wife.
"Darling, I'm here. What the hell is going on with you?" lirih Azzam shed tears, her chest tightened Alana from the feet to the ends of the hair.
Alana who had been squinting, immediately opened it slowly. He sat down, how surprised he found the face of Azzam who was very close to him, without him noticing his tears suddenly fell down his cheeks.
"Sstt... Don't cry!" Azzam quickly wiped Alana's cheeks and hugged her.
Alana could not control the sadness in her heart, she roared as if she felt the warmth of Azzam's body temperature. A hug she had long missed.
"Huu... Hicks..."
"Pretty dear, please don't cry! I'm here, I'm with you." hissed Azzam while looking at Alana's face and rubbed her cheeks gently.
"W-what are you doing here? Go, leave me alone!" isak Alana who could not stop his crying.
It's very painful. Why did Azzam reappear before him? Hasn't Azzam left? Azzam did not want it anymore, Azzam wanted to leave it and go away from it.
"Al, please calm yourself, don't be like this!" persuade Azzam, he kissed Alana's forehead and cheeks alternately.
Alana grabs the collar of Azzam's shirt and hits her husband's chest violently. "My life is broken, I want nothing more. Go away, leave me! I want to die, I want to die, Azzam. Why bring me here, I don't want to live anymore."
Alana cried out and clutched Azzam's chest firmly. "Let me catch up with my parents, me-"
"Sstt... Enough's enough!" sela Azzam was crying, it hurt to hear the words of Alana who wanted to die following her parents.
Azzam clutched Alana tightly, his wife's cry breaking even more in his chest. Similarly to Azzam, he could not help but cry.
"Take me off, Azzam! I-"
"No, I will never let go of you" Azzam said, sticking his chin to Alana's head and rubbing her arms gently.
"Because..." Alana screamed hysterically while beating Azzam's back, not saying how devastated she was to live this unjust life.
If time could be repeated, she would never let Alana leave the apartment that night. It's her fault, Alana suffered like this because of her carelessness.
Shortly after Alana's cry subsided, Azzam sat on the gurney and held her tightly.
Alana's eyes looked puffy and reddened, she sobbed sedu sedan in Azzam's chest.
"I'm sorry, I've been trying to find you but-"
Azzam sighed heavily and threw it away violently. "I don't want to ruin your happiness, I see you're back with that guy."
Alana is back in tears. "Then go, leave me alone!" Alana pushed Azzam's chest and cast her gaze in the other direction.
"Yes, I will indeed go." nodded Azzam confirmed.
Alana who heard that felt more and more hurt, she pulled out the intravenous needle violently and tried to get down from the gurney.
"Well..." Alana screamed as her body crashed at the bottom of the floor.
Azzam was shocked to see that and scattering down to help Alana.
"Take me off!" sergeant Alana when Azzam touched him. "You're right, you better go and never see me again. A disabled woman like me who deserves to be your wife."
Alana was powerless to get away from that place, she just cried without being able to do anything.
Azzam looked at Alana with reddened eyes, it turned out that his wife was completely paralyzed as the doctor said earlier. He doesn't believe this, what has he done?
"Alana, you-"
"I'm paralyzed, I can't walk like you. Now go, leave me alone. I am not worthy of you, let me endure this suffering alone!"
Alana threw her face away, she did not dare to look Azzam in the eyes. He was sure Azzam would not be willing to accept a disabled woman like her.
Azzam blinked and inhaled a lot of air. "So this is why you're staying away from me?"
Alana did not reply, she lowered her head while biting the ends of her nails.
Azzam's heart was absolutely heartbroken at the helplessness of his wife. He approached Alana and hugged her very tightly. The girl had trouble breathing with him.
"Why, Alana? Why not tell me the truth? Am I not worthy to share this pain with you? What do you think I am?"
Azzam wept bitterly as he rubbed Alana's head with a wounded heart. He could have left Alana in such a state. He loved his wife from the heart, not just interested in her beauty.
Alana was crying in Azzam's arms. She wrapped her hands around her husband's back and held him firmly. "I'm disabled, Azzam. I don't want to trouble you. You deserve a better woman than me. I'm not the Alana I used to be, things have changed." said Alana as she pleased.
"But I love you, I don't care about any of this. Why are you doing this to me?" isak Azzam shed tears.
"Then what should I do? You don't want to see me even once. I thought you knew about this and deliberately kept away from me." replied Alana while squeezing Azzam's hair.
"I'm not that bad, I love you not because of your physique. I can't possibly leave you, I thought you'd gone back to that guy. I can't stand this reality." hissed Azzam clutched Alana's nape.
Alana pushed Azzam's chest and stared at him with a dark look. "I love you, I miss you too. He and I have nothing to do, he's just helping me."
"I'm sorry, sorry." Azzam cupped his hands on Alana's cheeks then kissed her forehead, eyes, nose, cheeks, chin and ended up on Alana's lips.
"Huu..." Alana roared again and hugged Azzam tightly. "I'm disabled, Azzam. I don't deserve you."
"I don't care, anything I'll do so you can walk back. We face this together." Azzam asserted.
"But, Azzam-"
"Dear enough, don't talk anymore!" Azzam distanced himself and rubbed Alana's lips gently. Alana was silent for a moment and said hello*mat her husband's lips.
