Married for Slander

Married for Slander
Chapter 41.

At night, Azzam arrives at Kurniawan's house after a week of disappearance. His appearance looked crumpled and messy, his face also looked very lethargic.

Yes, after a week of searching and searching, he never found Alana. He was disoriented, not knowing where to find his wife.

Azzam realized, maybe this was the punishment for the sins he had committed. He has hurt a mother's heart and this is karma for her. Now she's lost the woman she loved so much just because of the trauma she's been through.

Azzam was really frustrated, he lost his direction and purpose in life, not even excited anymore in work.

Arriving in the living room, Azzam found Erni who was sitting on the sofa, there was Kurniawan also who was watching television beside him.

With gontai steps, Azzam walked up to the two. Without saying anything, he immediately prostrated himself at the mother's feet.

Erni gasped with perfectly rounded eyes, as well as Kurniawan who was no less surprised. The man did not expect Azzam to be able to do this after everything that happened.

"Azzam, what are you doing, son?" Erni raises Azzam's arm, but the son does not want to get up from his bow.

Azzam instead roared and hugged Erni's calf shortly after kissing the mother's leg.

"I'm sorry Azzam Bu, please forgive Azzam who has been disobedient to Mother, Azzam regrets."

Azzam sobbed at Erni's feet, he regretted that he had misjudged his own biological mother. He really didn't know what was going on, he was just acting on emotions.

"Please forgive Azzam Bu, Azzam has no intention of hurting Mom" Azzam said in tears.

Erni could no longer bear to see her son who seemed very down, she got off the chair and carried Azzam into her arms.

"No son, you're not wrong, I'm not angry. After all you, you are still a mother's child, I love you so much."

Erni could not hold back tears, all spilled without her noticing. After decades of waiting, he was finally able to touch his son, even hug him.

What could be happier than this? Erni never even thought so far.

Yes, Erni is not the mother who raised Azzam, but she is the one who gave birth to Azzam to this world. All his happiness was taken away because of the selfishness of Kurniawan's parents.

Erni and Kurniawan love each other, even since both of them are still in High School.

The love continued until finally Kurniawan married Erni without the knowledge of his parents. They married in front of Ernie's father.

Because of Erni's status that has nothing, making both parents Kurniawan oppose the marriage.

Kurniawan was forced to marry Vienna, who at that time was the woman of his parents' choice.

Kurniawan balked at the request, he couldn't possibly betray Erni, the woman he loved so much.

But the father's illness finally broke Kurniawan's heart, he was forced to accept the marriage for the recovery of his father.

But everything did not go as expected. Kurniawan's father had lied, he said he would approve of Kurniawan's first marriage but he did not.

Kurniawan had tried to find Erni but never met. A few years later, they were reunited by accident.

That's what made Vienna angry, he was jealous and hurt until finally chose to end his life.

From there Azzam regarded Erni as an evil woman, a destroyer of her mother's household and her father's usurper. The death of the mother made Azzam's hatred even more ingrained, especially when Kurniawan brought Erni home.

Erni never blamed Azzam, her son was only a victim of her in-laws' selfishness. He took it in as Azzam insulted him, snapped at him and even thought of him as a murderer.

"I'm sorry Azzam Ma'am, sorry."

Azzam hugged Erni tightly, his tears continuing to flow along with his snot. He didn't know what to say anymore, he felt he was being too mean to his mother.

Erni held Azzam in her chest, she rubbed Azzam's head fondly. "There's nothing to forgive, I know you're a good boy. You're Mom's son, it's forever gonna stay that way."

Azzam's chest was sore to hear his mother's words. After everything he did, Erni did not hate him at all, Erni turned out to love him very much. He was stupid for never giving Erni a chance to talk.

"Here, don't cry anymore. I'm not angry, I know you love Vienna very much. I should be the one apologizing, I shouldn't be coming back." Erni said.

Azzam shook his head and placed his forehead on Erni's knee. "No, I'm not wrong. Mother has suffered too much. Mom even kept quiet when I insulted Mom, what kind of child am I?"

Kurniawan who had just been silent, then sat down next to the two.

"It's not you guys who are wrong, but Dad." Kurniawan hugged his wife and son together. "I'm sorry, Son. This all happened because of Dad. If I had gone against your grandfather's wishes, none of this would have happened."

Yes, if someone is to blame, then Kurniawan is the one who deserves it more. He could not be firm so Azzam and Erni were the victims.

Azzam lifted his head from Erni's knees, he looked at Kurniawan at a glance then hugged him. "I'm sorry Azzam, Dad. Azzam didn't mean to hurt Dad either."

The three of them hugged each other, the sound of the crying all three blending into one. No one else spoke, the three of them were late in blaming themselves.

A few minutes later, his third cry began to subside. Azzam lay down on Erni's thigh, the woman rubbed Azzam's head like she was putting a child to sleep.

Finally the longing that had been held back, just released. At first Erni thought Azzam would hate her even more, but it turned out that her son's heart was not that hard. Azzam returned to his lap, his son who had already come.

Erni didn't know what else to say. I can't tell you how happy he is right now.

As his hopes began to fade, Azzam suddenly came into his own. No matter how much pain she endured, all were treated after Azzam acknowledged her as a mother.

What's more valuable than this? Nothing, Erni is grateful for still being given the opportunity to embrace her son, pouring out all the affection she has craved for so many years.

Let those bitter memories go by themselves, let all the pain be ashes that will later fly in the wind.

Azzam his son, his flesh and blood, nothing means more than this.

Erni unceasingly rubbed Azzam's head, kissing his forehead repeatedly like a child. Decades he waited, now everything has come true. Her heart was filled as Azzam called her mother for the first time.
