"What's wrong? Why did you tell me to come here?" azzam asked shortly after opening the door of the president's room. He stepped in and smiled discordantly as he caught sight of a woman sitting on the sofa.
"Azzam's chat... Sit down, son!" said Erni, the connecting mother that Azzam really hates.
"No need to make small talk, just tell me what you want from me!" sergeant Azzam stared lazily at his mother.
"Azzam, please be polite a little! However she was your mother." the angry Kurniawan who did not like to see Azzam's hateful gaze.
"My mom is dead, she's just a bitch, until whenever I'll never accept her as my mom." pressed Azzam with the sharp eyes of her elbows.
"It's okay, let it go! The truth is I'm nobody to Azzam." Erni warns her husband not to scold Azzam even though his little heart cries at Azzam who hates him so much.
Kurniawan sighed heavily, he was confused thinking of a way to convince Azzam that Erni was not who he thought she was.
There was something that Azzam did not know, but Kurniawan never got a chance to explain it. Azzam always looked at Erni like an enemy.
"According to our agreement yesterday, your father and mother wanted to meet the girl" said Kurniawan, that was the reason that made him tell Azzam to come.
"For what?" asked Azzam while pulling the chair across from Kurniawan's desk, he did not want to sit on the sofa especially close to Erni.
"For what how? Of course Father and Mother want to get acquainted with our future daughter-in-law. You are the heir of Dad, I do not want you to be mistaken in choosing a life partner." said Kurniawan a little upset.
"Not a candidate, but a son-in-law." Azzam straightened out.
"Haaaah.." Spontaneously Kurniawan and Erni gasped so unexpectedly.
"Me and the girl are married, she's my wife and you have to take it without frills. My wife comes from a poor family, but her heart is wide. Only he would accept me for who I am, he did not see my status that only lived in a small contract." explained Azzam with great emphasis.
"Azzam, don't joke!" sela Kurniawan's.
"What am I kidding for? I'm telling you the truth." Azzam lightly tapped on the surface of the table.
"Yes already, it's okay. We won't reject her as long as she's a good girl." - Timpal Erni.
"I can't marry a girl, I know what's good and what's not for me. You don't have to care so much about me!" ketus Azzam stared cynically at Erni.
"Azzam.." snapped Kurniawan who did not like to hear the way Azzam spoke to his wife.
"Enough, just let it go!" as Erni blinked her eyes, the woman did not mind at all.
Kurniawan rubbed a rough face and let out a heavy sigh. He could not bear to see Azzam's treatment of his wife. I do not know when Azzam will understand and want to hear it.
"Is there anything else you want to say? If not, I'm leaving now." Azzam got up from his seat and stepped towards the door.
"Send our regards to your wife. If you're ready, take our daughter-in-law home! The door of the house will always be open for you both." cried Erni when Azzam was pulling the doorknob.
Azzam turned his neck towards the woman, he did not reply and just smiled bitterly and continued his steps leaving the room.
Yes, ever since Erni set foot in her house, since then Azzam has held endless hatred and grudges.
For him Erni is a pest, the destroyer of her mother's household which is now gone.
There are many words that cannot be expressed, many flavors that must be hidden.
Azzam lost many precious moments in life, his steps locked, his desires imprinted. Azzam doesn't even know what he needs right now.
"No, I know my son's heart is hurting. I can feel it." replied Erni with a sad look.
"Patience! Someday, he'll understand." Kurniawan sat beside Erni and clasped his arms tightly.
"Hopefully he would not do anything bad to his wife, I fear that the girl will become a victim of the ingrained hatred in her." said Erni.
"No way, you heard what he said just now. He will not hurt his wife." said Kurniawan who also hesitated to his son.
Below, Azzam enters the car angrily. If he knew there was Erni in the room, he would not have set foot there.
"Where else are we, sir?" amin asked shortly after Azzam sat on the back bench.
"Just go ahead!" answer Azzam coldly.
Amin nodded weakly and drove forward the car at moderate speed. From the look on Azzam's face, he could already guess that his master was not okay.
Along the way, Azzam just kept silent while staring at the side of the window. His heart cried remembering the mother he so missed.
"To the path of mangoes only, the alley of marmots!" the Azzam suddenly lost his spirit. He just wanted to go home and sleep to relieve the anxiety in his heart.
Minutes later, Amin's car stopped right at the rented yard. Azzam got off in a doldrums and asked Amin to return to the company.
After the car disappeared from his sight, Azzam opened the door and walked in a frenzy without strength and slammed his body on the mattress.
"Why is life so cruel to me? Do I not deserve to be happy?" lirih Azzam with a misty look. She felt very tired and wanted to follow her mother to heaven.
Long mourned in his thoughts, Azzam finally fell asleep in helplessness.
"Al, come on, it's time to go home!" take Ira with you while you clean up her desk.
"Yes, Ma'am." said Alana, then tidied the table and took the food he had bought.
Alana did not eat the food because her stomach was still full. He thinks the food can be brought home for later tonight.
Then Alana and Ira left their desks, following other staff who had disappeared one by one.
"See you tomorrow, ma'am." Alana waves when Ira rides a motorcycle, Ira is married and has just been picked up by her husband.
"Well... You be careful!" Ira shouted back Alana's hand.
After Ira moved away, Alana then stood on the sidewalk alone, then stopped the taxi that was passing in the street.
"Mango street yes, sir!" alana said as a taxi pulled over in front of her and opened the door and sat in the back seat.
Alana leaned her back while focusing on the streets. The first day of work was quite fun, only he was still curious about the strange that happened to the company leader.
What exactly happened to the new director? Why is it only hidden from Alana?
The more Alana thought about it, the more curious she was about it.
"Ah, what am I thinking about that for? My job is work, work and work. To hell with that strange boss, after all it had nothing to do with me." Alana's inner mind took those thoughts out of her mind.
