At the apartment, Azzam was enjoying his excitement accompanied by a bottle of wine. He was furious but could not vent his pain on Alana.
In a semi-conscious state, suddenly the bell rang. Azzam was reluctant to open the door, he could already guess who was coming. Azzam did not want to meet Alana, it would only make her worse.
"Azzam, open the door!" exclaiming Alana with a loud voice, Azzam who heard that commented a slanted smile. Why would Alana come home if it would only make her even more hurt?
"Azzam, we need to talk. Remember, I'm still your wife!" yell Alana again.
Azzam put the bottle he held on the table. With a misty look and staggering steps, he walked towards the door and quickly opened it.
Then Azzam spread out his arms against the door, looking at Alana with red eyes.
"What else?" azzam asked with a trembling voice and a very unsettling look.
"You drinking?" Alana knitted her eyebrows while sculpting Azzam from hair to toe.
"What's the matter with you?" Azzam smiled bitterly at Alana's face.
"Azzam, I'm your wife, you misunderstood me. I didn't betray you, he was-"
Alana fell silent without knowing how to explain it.
Seeing Alana in doubt, Azzam's heart grew increasingly sliced. "No need to say anything more to me, I'm tired of arguing with you. Go, I want to be alone!"
Azzam turned around and grabbed the doorknob. As she was about to close it, Alana held the door leaf with her hand.
"Azzam, listen to me first! What you saw just now is not the same as what you imagined, I can explain it." Alana replied in a high tone.
"What else do you want to explain to me? I think everything is very clear. You better leave, I won't hold you back from staying. From the beginning this marriage meant nothing to you, so why stay with me?"
Azzam shed tears and swept her away quickly.
"Are you sure? Will you not regret it if I leave?" alana asked softly with teary eyes.
"The biggest regret of my life is giving my heart to you. I figured... But never mind, I don't want to argue anymore." Azzam was about to close the door but suddenly Alana pushed him until Azzam lost his balance.
Bugs...
"Well..."
"I'm sorry, Azzam. I didn't mean to hurt you." Alana lifted Azzam's head and put it on her thigh.
Azzam pecked Alana's bead with a glare. "But you've hurt my feelings, my heart breaks to see my wife in another man's arms. Why, Alana? What's wrong with me? I'm just asking for a little bit of your heart, don't I deserve that?"
Azzam could no longer hide the pain in his heart, he cried and distanced himself from Alana.
Yes, Azzam has already investigated the intricacies about the man. Azzam already knew how their relationship was before.
"Azzam, I-"
"You love her, she's your first love, you promised to live together. Is that right, isn't it?" sela Azzam's.
"No, Azzam-"
"I know, I've been investigating everything related to that guy. Sorry for ensnaring you in this marriage, I didn't know you loved that man. I'm too obsessed with you, I think you're my soul mate, I'm really sorry."
Azzam tried to get up from his seat, his steps staggered as he tried to reach the sofa.
"I'm freeing you from this marriage, I can't possibly ruin the happiness you've dreamed of for so long, I'm sincere." Azzam said, laying on the couch.
"No Azzam, you're wrong. I had a relationship with that man, but now things are different. I am your wife and I will never leave you." - Alana said as she walked up to Azzam, the man quickly threw his face away.
"Azzam, look at me!" Alana touched Azzam's cheek and twisted her neck slightly, the two stares suddenly meeting.
"Why give up so soon, Azzam? Aren't you the one who asked me to stay?" asked Alana with a soft look.
Azzam blinked and inhaled a lot of air. "Because I think you need time, but it turns out that I'm wrong, there's someone else in your heart."
Azzam again threw his face in the other direction. "I don't want to suffer the same fate as my mother, I can die slowly seeing the woman I love loving another man instead. Better just end this relationship!"
Azzam shed tears, this is not what he wanted but he had no other choice.
Azzam did not want to force Alana to stay alive with him, while Alana's own heart was already filled with the name of others.
Enough of his mother who felt this, he did not want to be the same fate as the mother.
Before Azzam's love deepens for Alana, it's better for him to step back. Alana deserves to be happy with the man she loves, Azzam has to learn to make it happen despite being so heavy.
