Chapter 52 - Request Permission

The next morning, before leaving for the set, Elmer went to Ela's boutique first. Surprisingly, Elmer did not get out of the car, but simply observed from inside the car. Sam who was there was confused as well.

"Why not come down and greet him as usual?" ask Sam.

"No, I just wanted to see it today. Because already see, run the car, we go straight to the set do not stop by anywhere else," said Elmer.

Sam said even though there were questions in his head.

The car is traveling at medium speed. There is no conversation between the two. Sam was focused on driving and Elmer was focused on his own mind. The man still remembered Ela's cry last night. He went to the store just to make sure that Ela was okay. And it's true, Ela looks fine, even though maybe her mind isn't.

Elmer and Sam have arrived on the set of their new drama. Elmer walked without a smile. Unlike Sam who is friendly to everyone. Even so, people really idolized Elmer because of his amazing acting. Even every film or drama that starred always exploded in the market.

Now Elmer is getting his face covered by MUA. As usual Elmer always asked that the person he worked with was a man. After that, Elmer immediately took his first shoot.

In the afternoon, Ela had a guest, her own sister-in-law. Aura came there just wanted to visit and see how her sister works. He was afraid that Alin would trouble Ela.

"Alin doesn't bother you, does he, El."

"No, Alin helped me a lot."

"Ah, thank goodness it's like that." Aura was relieved by it.

"Tumben's here, it's lunchtime, isn't it supposed to go to Rendra's office? Surely he was waiting for lunch from his wife" said Ela who was somewhat surprised.

"Rendra had a meeting outside with the client and had lunch together. So, I'm not there."

Ela nodded in understanding.

Aura started another conversation with Ela regarding the man who had been to the house.

"Mama said, you used to walk with that guy and that guy picked you up from home. Who's she?"

Ela let out a heavy breath. He should have known, if Mama Naya would have informed Aura. Especially considering her who did not want to get married when she was already 3 heads.

"He's just my partner." replied Ela.

Aura nodded. Although he felt that there was something else that Ela was hiding.

"You know, if you need a storymate or an opapun, you can come to me."

Ela nodded.

"Well, I'll borrow Alin for a minute, won't take long."

"Yes" answered Ela.

Aura came out of Ela's room and invited Alin to leave briefly from the boutique.

In his solitude, ranting dreams last night. Ela's cheerful face became moody again. So sad, Ela could no longer focus on work. He left the room and went out of the shop.

The car he drove continued to drive until finally stopped at a high school building where Ela attended first. Some of the students were wandering out in search of snacks. Ela just keeps being in the car without intending to get off. Until the school guard came to him by knocking on Ela's car glass.

Ela opened the windshield of her car. And saw Mr. Bandi, the school guard who was still there until now.

"Miss Ela, why don't you go inside? Why stop here?" ask Mr. Bandi who apparently still remembers Ela even though it has been many years. How not to remember, Ela is one of the smart students and her parents who became the main donor at the school.

"Of course it's Non. Especially now that the facilities are many."

Ela nodded and said goodbye to leave. After a few minutes of driving, Ela stopped her car again and put her head on the steering wheel.

"Everything's gone, why does it still feel like it just happened yesterday? Because of last night's dream, I remember everything clearly again?"

Ela let out a heavy sigh then lifted her head and leaned her into the car seat. Trying to close his eyes and what was clearly drawn when his eyes were closed was only Valdi's face. The guy he called last night.

Unwilling to continue thinking about it, Ela drove back her car until it stopped at a park. There, Ela walked while enjoying the cool air even though the heat could make Ela's skin scorched.

When she saw the empty chair, Ela sat there and enjoyed looking at the towering tree. Until then, the sound of the phone ringing makes him want to not want to look for his cellphone in the bag.

Apparently the one who called him was Elmer. The man still had not given up on getting Ela's heart.

"What's wrong? Is an actor this lazy enough to call someone?"

"Whatever busy I am, if for the person I like, I have to take my time. I just want to take you out tonight. Do you want to?" bring Elmer.

"Come home and ask my papa for permission, if he allows, I'll come with you" Ela said very firmly. Because the willa was sure, that her papa would not allow it. Unlike his mother who might allow it easily.

"Okay, I'll come to your house later. You know, the more challenged I get, the more intensely chasing you, El."

"Hm," replied Ela then turned off her call unilaterally.

"As long as you know Elmer, my papa won't be that easy to let me go with men."

That night, Elmer actually came to the residence of Kavindra alone. He had prepared his mental and appearance to look wow in front of his papa Ela. Elmer knocked on the door of the house, and it turned out that the one who opened the door was Richard.

Richard's eyes immediately looked at the mer from top to bottom.

"What did you want to come here?" asked Richard while crossing both his hands on his chest.

"Take Ela go out for a minute Om. What does Om allow?"

Elmer was straight to the point, he wasn't very good at small talk.

"Where are you going?" asked Richard with eyes full of thought.

"Just walk around the park. Take it easy, I will find a quiet place so as not to be the center of attention. I also brought complete equipment so that people do not recognize. So you don't have to worry if there's any more gossip."

Richard's eyes immediately glared sharply when he heard the word deserted place. His mind was immediately fixed on the no-no activities. He did not want his favorite daughter was tasted by men.

"Go home! I won't allow you to go out with my son! You must be doing him no good. I've memorized all sorts of male crocodiles."

Clearly he knew, people used to be crocodiles.

"No Om. I will not do as Om thinks. I just want to get Ela to refresh Om."

"Darling, why so long there? Who's the guest?" naya shouted from inside the house.

Richard, who did not want Naya to come out and know who had come, pushed Elmer away and closed the door.
