Chapter 37 - Let's Go Dating!

The day went by, Elmer attended a coworker's birthday party. The other one is Ansel. Birthday events are held in the open at night. Elmer's coming with Sam. Many of them already understand, Elmer is not a person who is easy to contact with others. Hence they only greeted Elmer without touching hands.

"When did you come with a trailer? Long time ago, take Sam on. Later you will be considered a same-sex lover," asked Ansel with a little mock.

Elmer did not reply to Ansel with words but with a sharp look from his eyes. Ansel chuckled slowly.

"There-there! Enjoy the show!" tell Ansel then he welcomes other guests who come there too.

Many actresses, actors, models and other art workers were present. Because Ansel is the CEO of an entertainment agency. Bella was there.

Elmer became lazy when he saw the face of Bella who kept looking at him. I think he wanted to go home at that moment. But, that is highly unlikely, as Ansel is a good co-worker. He always offered her a lot of work.

But, at three o'clock, Elmer saw Ela wearing a lavender sleeveless dress with hair that she curled up to show the neckline of Ela. It looked so dazzling that it made Elmer unable to blink for some time.

Until a touch on his shoulder resuscitated him.

"Don't daydream. It's in a crowded place. If you let your guard down a little. There could be a woman who suddenly touches you. That's gonna be a big deal El," said Sam.

"Yes, yes" replied Elmer in annoyance.

When he saw Ela, Elmer couldn't just ignore her. Elmer approached Ela and stood next to her.

Ela immediately sighed, slightly widening her lips.

"Why should you come near me anyway?" ask Ela who is a little upset.

"I just want to accompany you who look alone. I'm good, aren't I?" elmer.

Ela snorted, because what Elmer said was true. When the others gathered and clustered with their acquaintances, Ela was alone. Out of annoyance, Ela went from there and found a seat under the lamppost.

Elmer followed Ela, because he was bored there, especially he had to see Bella's face.

Now the two sit next to each other. Elmer crossed one leg and put one hand in his pants pocket. He sat very elegant and cool.

"Why do you always follow me anyway, Elmer? You actually want me to be constantly assaulted by your fanatical fans huh?" ask Ela.

Elmer spontaneously shook his head.

"I don't want that to happen. But I also can't help but approach you when I see you. Because you're the only one who makes me feel comfortable without pain."

"Curtain! The bees! You must have said those sweet words to all women!" accuse Ela.

"It's up to you to believe it or not. But I'm being honest with what I said to you" said Elmer, who is still in his position.

His eyes looked straight ahead, enjoying the atmosphere away from the crowd of people. Because indeed Ela and Elmer came out of the line of events because they were bored.

"Ela let's go out with me. I promise I'll treat you well" asked Elmer while still looking straight ahead.

Ela was shocked and looked over.

"Why do you want to date me? Want to make a new scandal?" ela said with a suspicious look at Elmer.

"Ck! In your brain it seems like there are only bad thoughts about me. Yes, dating to make a scandal. I've had a hard time achieving all of these achievements" Elmer replied.

"Because there's no way you like me" Ela said.

"Why is it impossible?" ask Elmer.

"Yes, because of many things" Ela replied.

Ela got up from her seat, then stared at Elmer.

"I won't take your words seriously. I'll take it as a joke."

After saying that, Ela left in the presence of Elmer. Elmer took his breath. He was confused as to why Ela's heart was so hard. Though at first, he thought that Ela would be fascinated first with him, but it was the opposite. He was the one who was fascinated first on the charm of Ela.

Shortly after, Sam approached Elmer and sat down next to the man. Apparently, Sam's been following everywhere Elmer went. He hides so that Ela does not feel her presence near them.

"Your fight has just begun. Don't give up just yet. Who knows there is a reason behind it all" said Sam gave support to Elmer.

"Let's go, let's go home Sam. Sanah goes back inside and permits to Ansel. Just tell me I'm suddenly not feeling well."

Sam nodded and left Elmer there alone.

In the midst of her solitude, it turns out Bella accidentally saw Elmer when out of the Event. Elmer thought the one who approached him was Sam.

"So soon you're back, Sam," said Elmer without looking back.

"Brah!" call Elmer when there's no sound. Lazily he looked back. Apparently Bella was there.

Elmer's face turned cold and flat. He was even lazy to look at Bella's face.

"Don't bother me! Don't come near me! Don't tell me anything! You better get out of my sight!" snapped Elmer.

"El, I know you still love me. Can't we go back to what we used to be?" take Bella with her soft voice.

"Curtain! You are shameless! You put where the shame and not knowing yourself is? Under your feet?"

Elmer became furious himself. He wanted to get out of there but he was afraid that Bella would pull his hand again. As a result, he could only wait for Sam to come while refraining from confronting the woman before him.

"El, don't keep lying to your heart. We can re-knit our old dreams that were delayed."

"I've got a new dream, and in it there's no you. So, don't constantly feel confident that I haven't forgotten you and still love you."

"I don't believe."

"Whatever, I have no obligation to make you believe. But you have to remember one thing. I'm something you've thrown away in your past, and I'll never repeat the same thing. So, I don't know from before me!"

Elmer's getting furious. If only he could touch that woman, he would have pushed her to the ground. Elmer doesn't care even though Bella is a woman. He just wants to protect himself.

As Bella walks closer to Elmer, Elmer wakes up to avoid Bella.

"You why the hell El? I haven't even touched you yet? But you're avoiding it as if I'm a virus and bacteria that you should avoid."

"Indeed you're a virus from the source of all viruses" Elmer said.

The debate stalled when Sam came and took Elmer away from there. Sam keeps staring at Bella as she embraces Elmer.
