Chapter 45 - Unresolved

Ela begins to understand and understand what Elmer is telling her. He even knows why Elmer doesn't like Bella. Apparently the woman was the one who had given the greatest hurt to Elmer. He also believes that trauma like Elmer does exist. Ela began to look at Elmer's face to see the face of Elmer who told the story looks like there is no longer a grudge.

But Ela's guess is wrong, not no revenge, but Elmer is numb to his wounds but can not forget and let go that easily.

"From what I told you about all my secrets. I'm sure you're the right person for me to trust" Elmer said.

Ela still continued to look at Elmer without a word. Apparently he had been mistaken for Elmer all along. It seems like Elmer's attitude, which looks thin, arrogant and confident, is only to protect himself.

"Why look at me like that? Are you starting to get fascinated with me?" god Elmer.

She turned and looked the other way.

"I don't ask to be pitied. I'm just asking to be supported and you're with me" Elmer said.

The woman did not answer. He got up from his seat and walked around the fountain pool while putting his hands there. Elmer followed Ela.

"Everyone has their own problems. There are people who can tell it straightforwardly and there are also those who can only hold it."

"And you're the kind of person who harbors," cut Elmer suddenly.

Ela did not respond to the remark, and continued to play the fountain. Although it was cold, but it could at least make Ela relax a little.

"I'm not forcing you to tell a story. But, if you want a story, I'm ready to be a listener, just like you were listening to my story with that focus."

Ela looked at Elmer then walked again in the cold of the night back to her seat. Then leaned his body against the chair and closed his eyes.

"You don't have a response to my story? No advice or comments or anything to say?" asked Elmer who was curious because Ela did not open her voice about her opinion after listening to Elmer's story earlier.

"What should I respond to? Everyone has their own problems and their past. The only difference is how he can get out of the past and face it. Should that be what you did?" ela said without opening her eyes.

"It's getting late, let's go home! Mom and Dad are waiting for me at home. Papa said he would not interfere with my life anymore, but I knew he was the one who would be more worried than my mom" said Ela, who stood up from her seat.

They both came home from there. Elmer couldn't refuse Ela's invitation. Though he had prepared special fireworks to see with Ela there. But what can I do. It seems like that night was not the right one. Moreover, Ela still could not open to him.

On the way, Ela kept looking at her phone. I don't know what the woman saw. But Elmer was really curious. He even felt ignored by Ela because since returning home there was no chat in the car between the two until Elmer's car reached the yard.

Sure enough, Richard was already standing in front of the house with both hands that were already closed in the chest. Then he looked at Ela and Elmer coming out of the car full of question marks.

When the two were in front of Richard, Richard stared intently at Elmer. Richard remembered very well that it was this man who brought his daughter into gossip some time ago. He has a lot of haters.

"Get in!" ask Richard.

"Yes pa. Papa don't go too far to Elmer. Let him go home safely. Then I came home safely" said Ela then entered the house without saying anything to Elmer.

"Sorry om, I delivered Ela too late" said Elmer, who preferred to admit wrong rather than make up for unclear reasons.

"What is the motive for taking my son out at night?" richard asked with squeaking eyes bearing suspicion.

"I like the son of Om. But, he still did not give the answer," replied Elmer.

Ela gave an answer. Elmer was still hoping.

Richard began to observe Elmer up close and circled Elmer's body. He stared at Elmer from toe to hair. He does not look at social status. But, because Ela was the daughter he cared about the most. Richard wants Ela to get a man who loves her sincerely and takes full responsibility as well as a hard worker.

"I know you're the son of my business partner. I also know what your job is and what your world is like. I know you're a hard worker. Because Sebastian once told about his son who fought from zero to achieve his opposite dream. But, I still can't believe you. Because of you, my son became hated by people even though now it's all over. However, hateful comments are always there. Even though my son doesn't care much about it. But, I as his father was worried and obviously cared about that. Because I know exactly what my son is like."

"I'm sorry about that, Om. Everything happened because of me. I can't shake it either."

Elmer apologized.

Richard was quite amazed by the attitude of Elmer who dared to apologize. He thinks Elmer is a boy who doesn't know sorry and doubt. Like any other artist he knows.

"Apologies accepted. It's home!" drive Richard to Elmer.

When Elmer wanted to kiss Richard's hand, Richard refused and said, "I am not yet your father-in-law, so there is no need to kiss the hands of all. Go and come home safe."

Richard went into his house and tested it from the inside. Elmer who saw it got goosebumps. Richard's aura was so strong and resolute. If he really wanted to make Ela his. He could conquer Richard's heart. Not to mention the two Ela sisters who Elmer himself did not know what the character of the two.

Elmer got into his car and drove away from Richard's yard. Apparently Richard was still peeking at Elmer from behind the window. This was known to Naya.

"What's that for Pa? Elmer's home yet?" ask Naya.

Richard then approached his wife and invited her to sit down and chat together.

"Why did you let Ela go with Elmer? If suddenly there are paparazzi who follow them and photograph their togetherness how? If Ela becomes a gossip again how?"

Richard took out all the grunts he had in his head. However, Naya clasped her husband's hand.

"You're too worried, Pa. Ela must have thought of that as well. What's wrong with Ela being close to Elmer? Our son is still alone. Let him feel the love too. We as parents are watching enough," said Naya who made Richard snort sebal while pursing his lips.
