Chapter 49 - There is hope

As long as Elmer was filming out of town, there were white roses in front of Ela's boutique every morning. There are always cards too. Ela to the head bobble, Elmer was so intent on doing this to her. Ela does not realize that her heart is starting to soften because of Elmer's treatment.

He works as usual in his office. Make another new clothing design for his latest collection.

Unbeknownst to him, as long as he designs clothes, his focus is always shifted to his phone lying next to his sketchbook. It was as if Ela was waiting for someone to tell her. It's been two weeks, Elmer didn't give him a message. Even if it's just random and asking questions that don't matter.

"Come! Why think of him? Focus El, focus!" he said to refocus.

But he became more unfocused and decided to go out for a while to recover his mind. He said goodbye to Alin, and said he would come out.

"If someone comes looking for me. Just tell me I'm outside."

"Good Brother."

"Thanks Alin."

Alin nodded as well.

Ela goes to the park she once visited with Elmer. The park looked deserted because most people were still working. Unlike him who is a boutique owner, he can go out at any time during working hours.

Ela looked at the sky that day that looked bright and the clouds were very beautiful. Unfortunately, his heart was never as bright and beautiful as that. He always remembered the events in his high school days that made him not want to be in a relationship with a man and did not want to fall in love. However, it seemed that Elmer's presence was enough to poison his mind.

"Yacht"

Ela sighed while closing her eyes there. He feels he does not deserve to like someone and does not deserve to be loved.

After settling down, he went to an ice cream shop. By chance Ela meets Naomi who is buying ice cream also accompanied by her sisters.

"Hi Aunty," greeted Naomi with her sweet smile.

"Hi too, dear. Naomi bought ice cream too. Buy what flavor?" ask Ela kindly as well.

"Vanila equals Aunty strawberries."

"Same, Auntie also bought that flavor."

"Wow! It's amazing!" naomi said, clapping her hands. Anxious Ela immediately stroked Naomi's hair.

Soon enough, Naomi's ice cream order was ready. However, when going home, the driver who will pick up Naomi calls if her car breaks down in the middle of the road and asks the nurse to take a taxi instead of waiting for her to come who knows when her car will improve.

Hearing this, Ela offered to drive the two home.

"Is that not a hassle Miss?"

Ela shakes.

"Rather than you take a taxi, I'd better take it. I know Mr. Sebastian anyway."

The sister nodded her head in order to accept Ela's offer because Naomi also looked happy to be near Ela. They'll be home once Ela's order is ready.

"Tante, Naomi wants to have a papa like Papa Elmer, although we rarely meet, but once we meet, papa Elmer always obeys what Naomi wants. Naomi is always happy. But when Naomi says that to Grandpa, Grandpa always says, 'Naomi may think of Papa Elmer as Naomi's father but don't force Papa Elmer to marry her' that's what Naomi wants."

Ela rubbed Naomi's head again.

"Not everything we want can be realized Naomi. There is something that cannot be forced. Someday, if you're grown. You'll understand."

"Well, Auntie?"

Ela nodded then focused on driving again.

They've reached Sebastian's residence. Ela had no intention of going in and wanted to go straight home. But, apparently Naomi forced herself to enter. Ela could not refuse either.

"Grandfather, Naomi is home!" he shouted cheerfully.

Before long Mr. Sebastian also appeared and welcomed the return of his grandson. He seemed surprised to find out that the one who drove his grandson was Ela. But he felt happy as well and immediately expressed his gratitude.

"Thank you, Ela. Already want to be bothered by taking Naomi home."

"It's okay, Om. Besides, we were in the same place than they were taking a cab I'd better take it."

"Let's sit down first."

Naomi immediately grabbed Ela's hand and sat down beside Ela while struggling like a spoiled to Elmer. Mr. Sebastian seeing that is so happy. Because from childhood Naomi never get affection from her mother. His mother always put her job at her disposal.

"Elmer is now filming out of town. Is he telling me?" ask Mr. Sebastian.

"Yes, he's the story of Om. Even Om's children almost every day give white roses every morning in front of the boutique."

Mr. Sebastian smiled at her. He immediately asked about the feelings of Ela to his son.

"Then what do you think of that? Om knows, Elmer's already declared love. But Om doesn't know how it goes. Because he hasn't told me yet."

"I rejected it, Om."

"Huh, what a pity, but Om is happy that you can be Om's ghost. Moreover, you're the only woman Elmer can touch."

"While I've rejected him, he still hasn't given up. I don't know if I'm going to falter or not."

Mr. Sebastian smiled. He felt there was still hope. He really wanted to see Elmer happy with his choice.
