Ave's Pov
Today is the engagement party of Mbakyu Raras and Mas Bayu. Not many present only my family and his family Mas Bayu. I don't actually like it this way. If I could run away, I'd run away, but where to go. There was a car in the garage, but the father was a stingy man. We only have three vehicles. One car to drive dad to the farm. A car was used for us together. Another minibus for us on vacation. The motorcycle belongs to Mas Bagas. I only have an Ontel bike. It must be Salim who follows from behind.
"Non Ave, really not to the main Pendopo." Salim surprised me who was sitting in the garden.
"Bored me there, Salim," I said lazily.
"Don't you, Non? It's Mbakyu Raras' engagement, Non."
"Ih this Salim. I'll be bored all day here." I grumbled.
"Come Salim. Let's just ride a bike," I said spoiled.
"No, Non. Later on Eyang Yaya was angry like when that day was," he said, rejecting my request.
"This salute irritates me. Kan Eyang Yaya did not see us," I said once again.
"Don't ah Miss. Get angry with Eyang Yaya."
"Basar Salim was timid," I sneered with lips as I walked away.
"Non ... , there's an alum....." Salim yells.
"What...!" I have not continued my sentence suddenly there is a hand that supports my body so as not to fall into the pool.
We looked at each other. Lousy.
"I'm sorry, Non Ave. I didn't mean it" he said embarrassed when he was caught holding my waist.
I ran straight away. Shame there was a man holding my waist even though it was unintentional.

"Well Ayu, ning endi kowe?" ask Eyang Yaya to me. [Miss Ayu. Where are you?]
"Ave here, Eyang Yaya," I replied on the terrace.
Eyang Yaya always calls me Cah Ayu. Said Eyang Yaya hard to say my name.
"Cah Ayu, Eyang mboten check until you want." [So, I didn't see you before ]
"Ave is in the park, Eyang. Bored of Ave on the show," I said fearfully.
"Mpoten kenging mekoten toh Cah Ayu." [It can't be like that ]
"Yes Eyang. Forgive Ave, yes, Eyang."
"Ojo neng in baleni maneh." [Not done again ]
I'm nodding.
"Yo wes's. Salim ning endi, Cah Ayu?"
"There's a back, Eyang."
"Dad wants help with Salim, Nduk." My father's voice was suddenly behind me.
"Solicit what's dad helping?"
"Take Eyang Uti's ordered goods at Yayuk's Bude (Tante) house," Dad said as he sat next to Eyang Yaya.
"Ave can't come, Dad?" I seduced dad.
I just kept quiet to respond to my request.
"Dad can, yeah. Ave long time no cycling," my ray again to be heard.
I glanced at Eyang Yaya to let me.
"Yo wes's. Ati-ati's. Ojo to nyemplung maneh ning kali." Eyang Yaya gave his permission. [Yes be careful. Do not fall in the river again ]
"Thank you Eyang." I'm parting ways with Eyang Yaya and Dad.
Eyang Yaya always remembered what happened to me last month. I'm shy. I fell in the river, though shallow, and ashamed that many little children were laughing.
Eyang Yaya just smiled.

In the afternoon of Maghrib. Eyang Yaya, Eyang Uti and his son-in-law were sitting in Pendopo. They seem to be talking about something.
"Excuse me, Mr. Wijaya. Sorry I'm late" said Mr. Malik in a hurry.
"Mpoten nopo-nopo, Malik." Eyang Yaya invited Mr. Malik to sit down.
"What did you call me? asked Malik curiously. Unlike usual Eyang Yaya invited himself to a family meeting.
"Don't call me Mr. Jaka. We've been friends a long time. I don't want you to call me Master at home." Mr. Brata told with a nod of Eyang Yaya and Eyang Uti.
"Look at Jaka. There's something we want to say to Jaka. It's about Salim." Eyang Uti opened the voice first.
The salim? Did Salim do anything wrong? That's what Mr. Jaka has in mind now.
"Did my son do anything wrong?" Panic hit Pak Jaka.
Eyang Yaya even laughed at the look on Pak Jaka's face in panic. Jaka sir is getting confused.

The sound of wheels chimeing with road friction rang out loud as they were paddled by Salim. Salim paddled his onthel bike behind something he had hugged. Miss Ave is chatty. Since returning from Bude Yayuk's house. Unceasingly he complained because his tired body was shaken by the rocks on the road. It's also his fault who's coming.
"Eyang Uti is also strange. We're just told to take this stuff." Ave looked annoyed at the item she was carrying. One Dutch eggplant crackle.
"You can buy in the market" he murmured again. Salim just listened.
"Are you not Salim?"
There's no answer.
"Clim Salim ..."
"Yes Miss. What's up?" Salim focused only towards the front.
"Your habits. Never heard my words." Ave snorted annoyedly.
"Yes Non. Sorry Salim." Stay with a straight forward view.
Sitting sideways on a bicycle paddled by Salim makes his body tired. The journey home does not take about 10 minutes. Just because the road is still slippery rain then Salim must drive it slowly.
"Salim, how was your lecture?" Ave opened her voice because it felt lonely.
"It's fine, Miss."
"Do you have a boyfriend?"
Glacier ...
The spontaneous question that came from the mouth of this chatty girl suddenly made him shocked. How could he have a lover? His job was just to pick up Miss Centil and to the campus in the afternoon. At night Salim went to sleep tired. He likes someone he has liked for a long time. Salim could not answer. Because they have arrived at his house.
"Well, they've come." Mr. Brata waved his hand to call Salim and Ave.
"Is Eyang Yaya sure about all this?" Disbelief was read on Mr. Jaka's face when they discussed something."
"Come, I'm iki Tenanan. Kuwi kudu believe me." Eyang Yaya patted Pak Jaka on the shoulder.
"Hopefully after discussing this. Jaka understands our intent." Ambar, Mr. Brata's wife gives confidence.
"If this is best for Salim. I'm handing it all over the same to Eyang Yaya." Jaka finally gave up.
Eyang Yaya smiled in response to Pak Jaka's words. Shortly thereafter the man who was waiting. They both looked confused by this meeting. Moreover, unlike usual Eyang Yaya invited his father Salim. Eyang Yaya said something that made them shocked until Ave dropped the Dutch eggplant on the floor.
"The two of you are going to get married."
