"Rain doesn't always just leave a puddle. There are memories he left behind"

Mike arrived quickly at the Mega boarding house. It did not take long because Mike already knew where the Mega boarding house is located.
He stopped his motorcycle, parked it safely and stepped inside. But something's weird. There was no sign of anyone in the room.
For a moment he noticed a shoe rack that was placed outside. There were no shoes or sandals there. Mike tried to knock. There's no answer.
Suddenly there was a rumbling sound of thunder that followed lightning. There were several girls coming out of the boarding room each running towards the clothesline to lift the clothesline. None of them greeted Mike as if they had not noticed anyone standing there.
Mike is still staring. His mind wandered far away.
"Where's Mega? It's still daytime, and it's still a holiday today. Where'd he go?" Mike mumbled wondering in his heart.
"Mega no mas. He's gone," someone said to Mike as he hugged a few pieces of clothing. The girl just passed by without stopping and chatting with Mike.
"Go?" Mike asked confusedly. His forehead wiggling.
"Yes, Mega go mas. He meant to go home to his village," said the woman, continuing as she passed away and went into her room.
Outside the rain was already rushing. Mike was still confused on the doorstep of Mega's boarding house. Disbelief took over his mind.
"How could he leave without telling me ?" Mike asked in his heart.
Mike tried to approach the room next to Mega and knock on the door. The girl who was talking to him immediately came out of his room. Mike quickly looked down embarrassed, not daring to look at him because he only wore black shorts.
Realizing the situation, the girl looked embarrassed as well. He went back in and only let out a little bit of his head - gawking.
"What's wrong ?" Ask the girl.
"Boo... Can you tell where Mega went ?" Mike asked nervously. He still could not believe it so he tried to ask again.
"Say he went back to the village. Her father was sick so she had to go home" the girl replied.
Mike thought hard. Mega will come back or not at all ?
"Oh, okay. Thank you" Mike said to the girl. He nodded his head in gratitude and the girl quickly closed the door.
Mike moved out of the girl's room. Weak steps. His chest pounded.
"I have to how ? The phone is now in my hands. How am I gonna call him ?" Mike asked in his heart.
Mike walked to his motorcycle parking lot but he couldn't go straight away. The rain is still heavy. Lucky that today he's the night shift. Otherwise, he would have been late or he would have braved a lightning storm this afternoon and forced himself to go home.
Mike is confused. Then he pulled out Mega's phone from his pants pocket. Mike immediately pressed the button but did not turn on. Handphone's dead. Damnit.
Mike bowed languidly. Both hands he put on his motorcycle joke. Mike lowered his head, his hands squeezing his own. His mind is back in chaos.
"I have to go home. I can't stay here waiting until the rain stops. I have to make sure Mega has reached his house or not.
Mike forgot to ask his friend if Mega had just left or had been from last night. His feet are stepping.
Mike thought for a moment. He decided to go home even though it was raining.
A moment passed through his mind two months ago when he and Mega were caught in the rain after returning from campus. They stopped for a moment to find a place to shelter. They took shelter at a roadside bus stop near the park where they used to spend time together.
Mega stood in tandem with Mike because not only them but there are others who also took shelter.
Every now and then Mike finds Mega secretly looking at him. Mega smiles shy armpit Mike caught her.
"You're cold, Mega?" Ask Mike for a moment. Mega tightened her arms on both of her shoulders. Mega can't dodge. He can't lie. He is really cold.
Mike put his bag back. Then quickly, his left hand grabbed onto Mega's shoulder, tightly hugging the girl. Mega glared at Mike's hand, then raised his face back to look at Mike.
His gaze was meaningful - as if he wanted to say thank you - but he just stared silently at Mike. Mike spread his smile as they looked at each other.
"Hopefully it can help reduce the cold" Mike whispered.
You made me really fall in love with you, Mike.
Mega just smiled shyly. Her face flushed. His heart is beating fast. For the first time in a long time, today a man hugged him, and he did not hesitate any longer with what he felt. He really fell in love.
"Thank you, Mike," replied Mega quietly, then leaned her head against Mike's shoulder. Now it's Mike's turn to be nervous, trembling.
Not only Mega, this is also the first time to hug and let a girl lean her head on her shoulder. Even Laura has never done it.
Mike closed his eyes, trying to hold the desire within him. I can't fall in love with Mega.
"It's raining a long time, yeah," said Mega as she looked up her head for a moment glancing at Mike and found Mike closing his eyes.
Mega smiled at Mike. Mike was not aware of it.
"Ahh, the rain does not always leave a puddle but also presents memories," Mike grumbled a little while turning on his motorcycle. The memories of the rain came back in his memory.
Whatever happens he has to go home right now - charge Mega's phone - find his family contacts in the village and contact them to find out if Mega has arrived there or not.
About 11.00 WIB. Mike drove along with his motorcycle against the great cold. He didn't care if he got sick afterwards. All he cares about now is making sure Mega has arrived there or is still on the way.
Mike ventured into a rainy afternoon just for the sake of a Mega. Guilt and thought that Mega's departure might be because of his fault that ignored it haunted Mike's mind.
Mike actually braved the rain and storm that afternoon even though the visibility was only about ten meters over. All he thought about was wanting to determine if Mega really came home or if this was just a joke.
