Mike is like most other people who choose Jakarta as a place to wander. The purpose of coming to Jakarta is probably the same as most people - for college, also for work.

When he set foot first in Jakarta - a city that never sleeps - Mike is still like a person who has just wandered when he once left his hometown and went to Jayapura, the Land of Papua.

Mike once migrated to the land of Papua, in Jayapura. Since completing his education in High School, Mike decided to go there to accept an offer from one of his cousins who had previously wandered and worked there.

He entered work following his brother who was a heavy equipment operator in a contractor company, PT. Her Majesty Iriana. The days he spent working, in and out of the forest working on the Trans Papua road from Abepura Regency to Keerom Regency. That is why he felt a new way when he arrived in Jakarta.

Luckily Mike is a fast person to get along so he feels at home and has many friends who are the original sons of the land of Papua.

Almost two years Mike devoted himself to work there, until one time exposed to malaria that caused Mike hospitalized for one more week.

"If you don't put your feet up soon, you'll die here. Malaria here is violent," said one of his co-workers at that time so he decided to leave Papua and move to Jakarta.

Mike is confused because Jakarta is really new to him. Simplify many. Only a few roads that are passed by two vehicle paths at once. All directions. There are roads like level roads - there are vehicles running under, there are vehicles running on top.

The building is high. The city is beautiful when we see it at night. All of that was truly amazing for a village boy like him.

The thing he did not like the most was when he saw the flood scene in this city. Water is flooded everywhere. Many vehicles are disrupted its journey even to drift carried by water. House residents inundated with water, not a few who collapsed in flood.

This sight sometimes made him think that it was better to go back to the village. There the flood flows at times which can only be flowed by water when it rains. The flood did not break into the houses without permission. Flooding does not cross the streets and interfere with travel. It is safe from flooding.

And the most fun thing is that there are many associations of people in one area. They form arisan groups, communities and even regional organizations. This is where his desire to continue college came about.

Mike found a lot of friends who were one area with him. There are those who work, some work while in college and some are only in college at the cost of parents.

Mike gets his passion from them when he sees them so excited and good at managing their time to go to work and go to college to go to work.

There are also those who had told him that Jakarta is hard. Not working, not eating. Not school, so be stupid. Then he decided to work while in college.

Thanks to the help of one of his acquaintances, Mike got an opportunity to take a certified training Gada Pratama - a provider of security or security unit personnel.

Mike then tried to apply for a job at a five-star hotel as a security and he was accepted thanks to the Gada Pratama certificate he had.

Merlynn Park Hotel is located on Jalan KH. Hashim Azhari Central Jakarta. The nearest airport is Halim Perdana Kusuma, only 14 km away. But of course it does not guarantee that sooner or later people will get to the Merllyn Park Hotel because of Jakarta's unavoidable conditions from congestion.

The distance of the hotel where Mike worked was not too far from the boarding house, Mike's shelter in Jakarta. It only takes a few minutes to ride a motorcycle.

Mike lives in a boarding house located in the Salemba Bluntas area, Central Jakarta. Of course, he was looking for a boarding house whose price he could reach with his own work. He did not expect a delivery from his parents. Moreover, his mother was alone in the village, his father had died.

The hostel is among several other hostels. Left and right, there are plenty of empty rooms. The total row of hostels where he lived was about ten boarding rooms, six rooms were filled, only four rooms were left unfilled.

There is a gate before entering the boarding area. The hostess does not live there, they have a place to live that is also not far from the hostel where Mike lives.

At the beginning of each month, the hostess including Mike paid the boarding via trasnfer to the account of the owner of the boarding house. But there are also some who directly meet the owner of the boarding house when there is cash in hand.

Mike tells his mother - who he has only a mother - that he wants to work while in college. Mother supports. Provided Mike must be good at dividing time for work and also for college. That was a message from his mother.

While waiting for the registration to open, he began to collect the money for registration money. Mike began to reduce his smoking habit.

Routine activities every Sunday night - go to the coffee shop just hitchhiking wifi connection and also to get a more comfortable atmosphere to be able to string poetry he was lacking.

Anyway all the activities that cost him less. Mike stayed in the room, listening to music and writing.

Following the activities organized by regional organizations he was lacking if not too important for him.

Mike really intends to change all his habits just for the sake of his college.

It is the support of the Mother, one of the reasons for taking this step. And he made sure of everything for the sake of your happiness.

"I'm sure, someday when it's time Mom will come to this city to accompany me at my graduation later," he said.

Mike really loves his mother who he left alone in the village.

"Lord, I hope my move is right and if the time comes, I want you to smile happily coming to this city".

Mike wrote this sentence on a piece of paper and then he put it in a prayer corner in his room - this he never missed when he wanted to ask God for something.
