LAST GREETINGS

LAST GREETINGS
Episode 5's

Tiring day - Mike drove, pulling the gas from his motorcycle to get to the boarding quickly. He was tired and sleepy, he could not take it anymore. Mike wants to get there and break his body. Fuck the bath and the body that smells of sweat.

Mike felt it this time. He was never late to sleep. Moreover, the sleep time counts only one and a half hours.

Since the departure of Om Bram, he has been having a hard time sleeping. His mind was always fixed on the figure of the half-old woman he left alone in the village - taking care of himself and the chickens in the cage, about two hundred.

It feels like he's going back there. Om Bram no longer helps mom. There is no way Om Bram's wife, Mery's aunt, should replace her husband, Om Bram. Moreover, they have no children. Tantenya alone. The plan, Tania, aunt Mery's niece who will be staying with her, accompanies aunt Mery.

Not yet finished thinking about his mother, another feeling of guilt arose within him. Ignoring Mega after reading Mega's expression-of-feeling poem a week ago made her fight great with her own mind.

Mike was eager to see him. But besides that he did not know what to talk about when he met Mega. He was afraid he would disappoint her. Mike's explanation may have been wrong and Mega didn't accept. Or whatever it is, obviously Mike doesn't know what to do.

Thinking of his mother who was alone, and Mega who he had ignored since his twilight poem he read, without him noticing the sound of microphones from the mosque next to the boarding alley surprised him.

"Gosh, it's morning" said Mike in shock and then hurriedly turned his back, hugged a bolster pillow and went to sleep.

"Damn it, I have to get up early" he said in his heart.

His sleep was only half an hour - still half asleep he forced himself into the bathroom and five minutes after he came out, preparing to leave for work. No breakfast.

I feel like I want to go home quickly. To the extent that it comes to mind to go home first because of illness. His face was indeed a little pale so he thought there was no problem if he would permit it on the grounds of illness.

But Mike undo the intention, forcing himself to survive until 20:00 WIB.

Mike pushed the front gate immediately when he got to the front gate. The hostel has a gate. The hostel has several rooms in a square surrounded by houses around the community. Next to the alley is a mosque. Besides the boarding room there are still some empty rooms, some are already filled.

Mike turned off his motorcycle engine when he got right in front of the room. Open the helmet and put it on the rearview mirror handle. Mike used to leave it there, nobody took it. Then immediately approached the door of the room, looked down a little, put his hands into his college shoes and then took out one of the room's keys and opened the door.

He put his bag on the table, opened his shoes and put it under the table. Black shoes are good shoes of the officials he always put in the room.

Mike approached the bed after being satisfied to drink two glasses of water, then lay down his body. He really didn't want to take a shower. All he wanted was sleep. That'sthat's all. No matter what time it will wake up because the raging middle village has not been filled with food tonight.

Just about to enter the dream realm, the sound of the phone shocked him. With a lazy voice, half-open eyes he curses - maki mobile phone that rings.

He decided not to respond even just glanced at whoever called even he did not want to.

Finally the ringing sound disappeared. But soon it rang again.

"Ahhh, dammit. Just bothering," Mike cursed as he grabbed his phone then his eyes suddenly widened to read the writing that appeared.

"Damn. He again," he muttered.

"Did he know that at this hour I'd come home from work ? Ahh fuck."

Mike rubbed his eyes and tried to answer his phone. But his forehead frowned when he heard the voice of the person across who called.

"Not Mega. Then who is this guy ?" He was full of questions in his heart.

"Hallo, is this really Mike ?"

"Yes, right. It's me Mike. What's up, huh ? Why is Mega's phone in your hand ?"Mike immediately attacked him with a furious question.

"I'm sorry, I found this phone in a park. Lucky that this phone is not secured with a lockscreen so I can access it" the man explained.

"I want to return this phone to the person. Maybe Mike can help me ?" ask the man again.

"Yes, okay. Thanks in advance for returning the phone. Just send me your address and I'll see you tomorrow. I don't want to go out tonight. I believe you're a good man. We meet tomorrow" said Mike casually in a lazy tone. He's really not going anywhere. Mike just wants to sleep. Even to the point of sacrificing the cell phone of the person he already considers his sister - even though he has honestly said he loves her - to be in the hands of someone else tonight.

"Is it bad that I ignored Mega and her feelings ?"

"Yes, okay. I'll send you my address" said the man again before turning off his phone.

"Huhh,, you know, you're a prick," Mike still grumbled at the sign of being annoyed. He put his phone back down and went to sleep.

"May no one bother me anymore. I just want to sleep. Really."

*****

As agreed last night, Mike drove his motorcycle to the location of the man who found Mega's phone in the park last night.

It did not take long, only about seventeen minutes to arrive at the location sent by the man.

Mike stopped his motorcycle at a coffee shop. Then quickly find where the man is. Mike did not see anyone waving outside so he decided to go inside.

His eyes were fixed on the figure of a man his age, wearing a brown leather jacket sitting in a corner near the checkout table.

He stepped towards her. Then give his hand to shake.

"Please sit down. What do you want to drink ? Please order it," the man offered her a drink. Very nice of the guy.

"Oh yeah. Thank ye. I don't want to order anything. Because I had to go see the guy who had the phone" Mike said quickly, rejecting the man's offer. He had to hurry, took the phone and went to meet Mega.

"So I was in a hurry to go again ?" Ask the man again.

"Yes I have to hurry, so hand over the phone and I'll go" Mike said with certainty.

"alright. It's cellphone. The battery may be lowbat because I didn't turn it off last night" the man said, taking his things out of his bag and giving them to Mike. Mike immediately grabbed it, put it in his pants pocket and stood up.

"Thank you for finding and returning the phone. God bless you" said Mike briefly, giving his hand to shake. The man shook Mike's hand while nodding to give a smile to him.

Mike left the man alone. Maybe he cursed Mike after Mike left. There is no good ethics from Mike in people who have found and are still kind enough to return the belongings of others who are lost. Mike did not say his name.

"But fuck it, care about it. He didn't even mention his name, so we're even."

Mike headed for his motorcycle parking lot, turned it on and drove to Mega's boarding house.

Batak-blooded women - Manado was living alone in the boarding house. Mike drove impatiently to see him but he did not know what to say when Mega asked and discussed the poem again.
