LAST GREETINGS

Episode 21

Mike returns to his boarding house after dropping off Tania. He came in and locked the door. Mike also took the time to go into the bathroom and clean his face. He gave a little care to the skin of his face.

Mike then returned to the bed and laid down his body without changing the clothes he was wearing. Exhausting indeed. But he's relieved now. Mega belongs to Kevin. Mega receives an expression of Kevin's feelings expressed in the form of a song at the cafe where they met earlier.

Mike could feel how happy Kevin was when Mega stepped forward, walked up to him and gave Kevin his hand. Finally, the love that was once lost is now growing back after he met Mega.

Mike did not think Kevin was this romantic. Moreover, everyone who was in the cafe recorded a beautiful and unforgettable moment for him.

Mike's current expectations are only one. May Mega kill her feelings for him and see Kevin as the only man to love.

Maybe Mega should also be honest about him and Mike to Kevin so that Kevin can understand the situation. Kevin is Mike's best friend.

For a long time they had not met, no news, and now they were reunited in the same city. The difference is, now Kevin loves a girl who has struggled to love Mike but not reciprocated love.

But one that still bothered and disturbed Mike's mind. Mega and Tania will meet. He heard Mega tell Tania when Mike was about to drive Tania home.

Mike had to make sure they wouldn't fight. It might sound a bit overwhelming if they were going to fight because of Mike.

Mega's face was still thin when she met Tania. It's possible that he would have thought that Tania was the reason Mike couldn't accept his love. Hopefully, what Kevin did earlier can change Mega's mind and make Mega to have to dare to forget Mike as the man he once loved.

Mike drives on his motorcycle to the park, where all his love stories begin. If only he had the right to name it, this park he would name the Garden of Memories. Ahh, let's just say starting tonight this park is called the Garden of Memories.

Mike didn't go to work today because it's still rations off, and will be back in tomorrow morning at half-time. He parked his motorcycle and as usual the familiar parking guard greeted him.

"Half bang ?" Ask the old man. Mike smiled at him while turning off the engine. He approached Mike.

"Yes, own bang," said Mike slowly as he opened his helmet and hung it on the motorcycle.

Immediately he stepped in leaving the father of the half-old parking guard. Carefully Mike stepped towards his usual spot and Mega often sat down. There's no one. Place's empty.

Mike approached a pair of brown benches placed face to face around a stone table and stood looking around.

"They haven't come yet" he murmured. Mike's sure they don't have a choice anywhere else. They must have gone to this park to meet. Mike then looked for a place nearby that was not far from where he and Mega used to sit.

Mike was wearing a plain black jacket, there was a head covering. The jacket was rarely worn and during his meetings with Mega or Tania he had never worn it. Flip-flops and knee-sized short jeans add to his confidence.

Mike took a sitting position against one of the benches. He was sure they would not recognize him.

Mike deliberately brought a book to accompany him. He also bought a bottle of tea. This habit is sometimes done when he meets them. Mike usually only reads books in his dorm room or at work.

Mike read the book he was carrying. A bottle of tea shoots he put on the stone table that has been provided in the garden of memories.

Mike uses a jacket headgear to cover his face to keep Tania and Mega from recognizing him.

Just reading a few pages of Paulo Coelho's novel entitled On the Bank of the River Piedra I Sit and Cry, the sound of the two women's snubbing surprised him.

It sounds like there's nothing to fear. They told me stories like they had known each other for a long time. Mega gave Tania an excuse to sit down.

They just didn't choose another place. A pair of brown wooden benches that have been silent witnesses to Mike first fall in love with Tania to be their choice. Mega has nowhere else. Plus the place is still empty.

"We often spend time together, unwind after a day sitting in class" said Mega. I don't know what they've talked about before, but Tania certainly knows who Mike is in Mega's life.

"I also first met him here. I was alone at the time. Mike came and sat here. Apparently on this bench you often meet until he does not choose another place, "tania explained.

Mike was getting serious about putting an ear on their conversation. It was fortunate that the distance of their bench and the bench on which he sat was only about one meter.

They did not let down their voices when they told stories. Mike no longer focused on reading but his book was still left open as if he were reading.

"Wait, when did you meet Mike ? Was it when I was in the village at the time ?" Ask Mega fast. Mike leaned his ear more and more to hear their increasingly serious conversation.

"Yes, definitely when I was in the village. It was a semester holiday. My father was sick so I decided to go home. You know what ? I lied to him back then, hehehehehe" said Mega with a small laugh recalling his crazy idea at the time. Tania was silent.

"I deliberately left my phone to a friend of mine and asked my friend to contact Mike that he found my phone here" Mega continued with a laugh. This time Tania responded by laughing. They sound like they're very familiar.

"I really love him. I really like it," continued Mega again after a moment of silence. Mike's heart was suddenly racing.

Mega reminisces about her time with Mike. He loves Mike so much but this is the reality. He belongs to Kevin now.

"His struggle to finance his own college made me fall in love with him. I then boldly honest with him. I wrote a poem for him representing my feelings" Mega continued.

Tania still silently heard the story. And Mike too. He has not heard why Mega loves him and now he has heard it all.

"I'm sure he realized it because Mike is also good at poetry" continued Mega.

"Have you ever written a poem by Mike ?" Mega asked Tania suddenly. Tania answered him immediately. He just laughed a little.

"Yes, ever. He also said he liked me through poetry" Tania replied. Mike's getting unsettled, feeling ashamed of himself.

"Then why haven't you guys dated yet ? Don't you like Mike ?" Ask Mega for a moment.

Mike heard it clearly and smiled to himself. Finally he could hear and know what Tania really felt for him.

"Hehehehe, I don't know," Tania replied with a laugh. Tania was confused. But he was really just waiting for his time.

"We've been very close lately. We were together often. Go to the park often and sit here too" Tania continued.

"Then ?" Ask Mega curious.

"Yes, that's it. We are still just friends" Tania replied casually.

"Did Mike not tell you yet ?" Ask Mega again. Mike was getting serious about concentrating on their conversation.

He then grabbed the tea bottle, opened it and sipped it several times. He wondered what Tania would say.

"Hehehehe, not yet. He just always flips me," Tania explained with a laugh. Clearly in his eyes he showed his embarrassment.

Tania feels comfortable when close to Mike. Mike always had a way to make her smile.

"But you want Mike to ask you to be his girlfriend ?" Ask Mega sharply.

This time Mega's question made Mike close his reading book and slightly leaned his body on the bench and did not tilt his head to the left or right. He was afraid of being discovered.

"Hehehehe, I don't know the exact answer. I'm comfortable if I'm around her" Tania replied calmly and she always started with a little laugh. Mike smiled to himself like he was getting a good signal.

Regardless of Mega and Tania sitting and talking behind him, he stood up and walked away from them.

Mike turned the other way to his motorcycle parking lot.Tomorrow he had to go to work. He had to go home to sleep early. Mega and Tania are fine and even very familiar. Mike smiled with satisfaction.

At least his efforts to eavesdrop on their chatter were not in vain and now there is no doubt to declare his love for Tania.

Tania's birthday is coming up. Mike once gifted her a necklace, perhaps this time by declaring her love.

Mega and Tania continued their conversation. There's absolutely nothing to fear. They're doing just fine. It didn't take long for them to get along with each other.
