LAST GREETINGS

Episode 23

LAURA PoV'S

Laura felt tired for almost a week accompanying her boss on his business trip. They met some well-known cafe owners in the capital to offer their coffee products.

His boss, Mr. Vinsen Fernandez is a coffee entrepreneur who is arguably successful. Mr. Vinsen has considered Laura like a mere girl. He had no children, his little girl Wulan Fernandez died when she was six years old with dengue fever.

If Wulan was still alive, her age might not be much different from that of Laura right now. His wife, Lady Agnes da Silva, always looked gloomy when her husband's secretary came home. He always thought about his daughter.

Unfortunately for Laura, they help Laura to pay all her father's debts to Camat, forcing Laura to marry her son. Of course a forced marriage - a marriage that is not based on love.

Laura accompanied her boss for a few days in Jakarta and tomorrow afternoon they will return to NTT. His boss allowed him to spend the night around Jakarta while Mr. Vinsen stayed in his hotel room to rest.

That afternoon Laura looked bored in her room. He spent time calling his mother and playing around with his beloved daughter. He then decided to accept Taun Vinsen's offer to get a little fresh air in the capital.

A moment later, Mike's shadow. He thought for a moment and decided to meet Mike tonight. He walks out of his room and tries to find Mike at the picket table, but Mike is not there.

He then asked some other security questions and got Mike's phone number. Without thinking, he called Mike.

"Hello, who is this ?" Mike asked when he answered a call from an unknown number.

"Mike, it's Laura. I looked for you at the picket table but didn't find you. I asked for your number in one of your friends here" Laura replied.

"Oh, okay. What's up Miss Laura ?" Mike asked casually after hearing Laura's explanation.

"Mike, can I meet you ? Tomorrow I'm going home to NTT," asked Laura spontaneously without further ado.

"Huh ? Meet you ?" Mike asked in shock.

"Yes. Do you mind ?" Ask Laura sharply.

"Hmmm, no. Just tell me where I'll meet you" said Mike slowly.

"I'm waiting for you at the hotel" Laura replied firmly, then hung up.

MIKE PoV's

Behind his small room and enough for a man, Mike looked troubled. All night long he thought about Laura. Since their meeting that night, Mike hasn't seen Laura again the following nights.

Laura leaves with her boss when the morning after Mike takes off his picket duty and returns before Mike steps in again.

Forgetting is not easy for everyone to do. All we have to do is let go. Mike has done it. She has pledged Laura and wishes Laura to be happy with anyone who will accept her with her daughter.

For a moment Mike did not think about Tania and her entire confession. Mike was just waiting for the right time to express his heart.

Right now he was thinking about Laura. Laura's shadow that haunts her can't be avoided. I kept thinking about Laura. He lay on his bed, letting his right hand cross freely over his forehead before he was startled by the sound of his phone.

He immediately got up and grabbed his phone. A call from an unknown number. Not as usual when he always ignores calls. This time he did not think long to answer.

"Hello, who is this ? Mike asked after answering his call.

"Mike, it's Laura. I looked for you at the picket table but didn't find you. I asked for your number in one of your friends here" Laura replied.

"Oh, okay. What's up Miss Laura ?" Mike asked casually after hearing Laura's explanation. He was a little nervous after finding out who called him.

"Mike, can I meet you ? Tomorrow I'm going home to NTT," asked Laura spontaneously without further ado. For a moment Mike swallowed his saliva. His heart is beating a little.

"Huh ? Meet you ?" Mike asked in shock after hearing what Laura said.

"Yes. Do you mind ?" Ask Laura sharply. Mike was getting less and less out of breath holding his breath which slowly began to hunt.

"Hmmm, no. Just tell me where I'll meet you" he said slowly. He agreed to Laura's request.

"I'm waiting for you at the hotel" Laura replied firmly, then hung up. Mike hasn't had a chance to say anything yet but Laura has closed her call. So quick.

Could it always be like this a secretary when calling ? Mike mutters.

He can't dodge. He had agreed to it and Laura was waiting for him tonight at the hotel. Mike glanced at his watch, only sixteen minutes past twenty minutes. There was still plenty of time for him to think about what he had to say and think about what their meeting would be like tonight.

Mike stepped inside the hotel after shaking hands with some of his co-workers at the picket table. It wasn't her schedule for the picket guard tonight so she was free to meet Laura.

His co-workers didn't ask much, they knew Mike was going to meet one of their hotel guests. Mike was wearing black jeans. A pair of white shoes covered his feet. The black jacket he once wore to follow the meeting Mega and Tania he wore again tonight, covering a white T-shirt.

He stepped unhesitatingly past a few people at the reception desk, they did not recognize him because he covered his face with a jacket head covering.

He stopped his steps in front of the elevator and pressed a button to open the elevator. He quickly jumped into the elevator and quickly pressed the close button and the number 2 almost simultaneously.

Laura's room is on the 2nd floor, number 21, Mike clearly remembers her because he took Laura's cardlock room.

He noticed for a moment his suit in his shadow on the elevator wall. He confidently exited after the elevator door opened on the 2nd floor.

He set foot again in search of room 21 and stopped his steps after finding what he was looking for. He reached his hand into his pants pocket, pulled out his phone and called Laura.

"Hello, Mike. You've..."

"I'm in front of your room" said Mike, quickly cutting Laura's question and hanging up.

The door opened, Mike looked nervous instead of playing. His heart is beating fast. His eyes widened as Laura stood before him.

Laura was not wearing official clothes, meaning a suitable suit to be outside the room. Mike is confused. What he thought, Laura had dressed up and waited for him to pick up and then they went out to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of the capital night.

"You're not getting ready yet ?" Mike asked in shock.

Laura was silent for a moment, leaning her body against the door leaf of her room. The curves of her body are very clear, Laura is still like a teenage girl who has not had children. He is very good at taking care of himself. Sure oes.

"Then why are you standing in front of my room if we're going out and enjoying the fresh air of the capital tonight ? You can wait for me in the lobby, right ? We're not going anywhere, "Answer Laura replied casually without even showing her nervousness.

Laura widens the door and hints at Mike to get in.

"Laura, I think we're going to go and take a walk around the capital tonight" Mike said suddenly and still held back his footsteps to get in. Laura is not angry.

"Come in Mike, or my boss will see you," Laura said as she walked towards the fridge and pulled out a few cold drinks.

He also took some apples and put them on his desk. Laura did not care about Mike who was still confused in front of her room.

Laura's room is quite spacious, the facilities are classified as luxurious. There are a lot of guests who choose to stay at this hotel. When we stand in front of the window then our eyes will be pampered with the majestic National Monument pride of the people in this country.

Mike still seemed hesitant before venturing in. He was consumed by Laura's words that if he did not enter then Laura's boss would see him.

Mike sat down on the brown sofa next to the bed. Laura doesn't care about Mike at all. He walked into the bathroom and cleaned his face.

He had been bathing since before Mike came but had not had time to use facial soap when the phone rang.

Mike is confused. He doesn't know what he should do. Laura left him alone. She was in Laura's hotel room. He can't do anything - what. I hope nothing crazy happens, he said.

Laura came out after cleaning her face. He approached Mike. He was only wearing a cream-colored ribbon lace tanktop dress so it clearly showed his open chest.

Mike kerawangan's. He stood up and left Laura alone. Laura doesn't care. He knew Mike was scared. He sat down and opened a bottle of fanta and then poured it on his glass and Mike's glass.

"Drink Mike. You seem to need something cold" Laura quipped. Mike realized that he was caught in fear.

"Laura, are we just meeting here ?" Mike asked suddenly. His voice trembled.

"I think we're going to go out and take a walk" continued Mike again with a huff.

"What are you afraid of Mike ?" Laura asked calmly. He downed his drink and turned his face to look at Mike. Mike was shaking.

"Just open your jacket. You seem to be overheated. Is the ac in my room not too cold yet ?" Pinta Laura's firm.

Dukkkkp. Mike's heart stopped beating. He sculpted. His mind started to play very far thinking about what Laura would do to him.

Laura knew that. His words made Mike could die instantly. But he just smiled.

"You're not a kid anymore, Mike. I knew

I'm a nobody, just your past" Laura continued. He looks relaxed. There was no nervousness at all. Just Mike, he's pecking next to Laura.

"I won't do anything to you Mike. Just chill. There's no need to be afraid."

"Then what do you want, Laura ?" Mike ventured to say something or he would continue to stare. He tried to calm down but still could not be denied, his heart racing. Laura was smiling.

"Hehehe, drink up Mike. Or you will die of heat," Laura chuckled lightly trying to divert the conversation. He doesn't care a bit about Mike's current feelings.

Mike grabbed his glass and sipped his drink quickly. Laura still smiled cynically.

"Please your mind Mike. Otherwise you will continue to do that," Laura again mocked Mike.

Mike has never experienced what he is currently dealing with - being next to a girl dressed in sexy clothes and showing her still beautiful curves. Laura was once married and had children. Of course, this is used to it even though the marriage is not based on love.

Mike tried hard to calm his mind as Laura stood up and grabbed a piece of woven cloth of the NTT area and covered her body.

"Laura, i..... "

"Still scared, Mike ?" Laura cut off Mike's conversation. Mike was silent.

"I'm sorry Mike. I thought you would feel ordinary," said Laura trying to melt the atmosphere.

"Have you not had a boyfriend yet ?" Laura asked again. Mike just kept quiet and glared at Lauara. He was a little calm.

"I haven't found a girl capable of conquering my heart like you have" Mike replied cynically. He did not think of Tania who he really liked right now.

"May they don't leave you like I left you" Laura said.

Mike turned his eyes and looked at Laura. He can control himself, there is no more fear in him. Laura covered her body.

Any normal guy would feel the same way as Mike.
