One Year Later

The sound of a motorcycle breaks the silence of Mike's boarding area. He let it sound for a few moments - heat up his engine - and then left. He will drive with his motorcycle to the Tania boarding house.

Mike and Tania get closer after a few months of frequent meetings, always being escorted home. His busyness to prepare for his script trial at that time did not make it anywhere, then now he always had time to be alone with Mike. They often met every weekend in the park, a common place.

They spend more time together. Tania replaced Mega and who always accompanied Mike there. Mike realized that he really liked the girl.

From each encounter, he felt the comfort Tania felt in him. It's true, Tania is no longer shy or considers every talk Mike is a mere seduction.

"Tania, please take care of your safety for me. I can only take care of your heart, not your life," Mike whispered those words to Tania's ear that day when he drove her home.

Tania simply smiled, nodded and said thank you. There are no more words that he is not easy to seduce. Mike realizes, Tania has started to feel comfortable but Mike has not found the right opportunity to declare his love for Tania.

Mike stopped his motorcycle in front of a row of boarding rooms where Tania lived. Today he and Tania will go together with Kevin. Kevin was waiting for them at a cafe.

There Kevin will reveal his heart tonight. Mike and Kevin have it all set up. Mike has asked Mega that Mike wants to recognize someone and Mega agrees, not knowing that Kevin will express his feelings tonight.

Mike's attempt to introduce Mega to Kevin apparently grew Kevin's love for Mega after it felt like he buried it deeply with the wound that Cindy left him.

They often met after that. Mega always visits Kevin as well as rehearsals for some musicalization of their poetry. Therefore, the park where Mike and Mega used to be there has now been replaced by Tania. After returning from campus, Mega always asked to take him home to the boarding house.

A moment later Tania came out of her room. Mike was stunned for a moment to see Tania's beauty wearing a dark blue dress, around her neck a white necklace that Mike gave her how many months ago on her birthday.

His hand was clutching a modern purse bag as socialite mothers often carry when going to the park. Faded brown high hills shoes add to its elegance tonight. Tonight Mike will recognize him to Mega and Kevin.

"Tania, you know ? You're so pretty tonight, "praise her after Tania approaches. Tania just smiled shyly.

Mike widens his hand asking Tania's hand to embrace him and then takes him. Mike stepped confidently holding his girlfriend who to this day is still a friend, not yet a girlfriend.

Mike stepped inside a cafe, walked up the stairs and climbed to the second floor. Tania just followed me from behind. Their steps are in rhythm.

Tania wondered where she was going in her heart because Mike didn't tell her at all. He only knew that Mike wanted to take him for a walk.

Mike walked to the side table. There's people, Kevin and Mega are waiting.

"Hi, have you been waiting for a long time ? Sorry we're late" Mike said hello to Kevin and Mega. Kevin and Mega reply.

Mega's eyes were fixed on Tania. He knew, this is what Mike meant that he wanted to introduce someone.

"Hey, is there someone new ?" Ask Mega suddenly. Mega and Tania shake hands with each other. Mike took a seat on the other side. The four of them went around one table.

"This is my friend that I want to introduce to you guys" Mike said immediately after sitting down while gently touching Tania's shoulder. Kevin and Mega looked at Tania.

Mike immediately turned his gaze regardless of Kevin and Mega who were still looking at Tania. They wonder who Tania is.

Mike made sure of the preparations he and Kevin had done. There's a little stage in the corner near the table. Mike glanced at giving a code to one of the cafe waiters and he nodded his head at the sign everything was ready.

Kevin realized that. He retreated, leaned his body against the chair and took a deep breath. Kevin was getting nervous.

Mike gave a code calling one of the waiters to order a drink. He approached and recorded all the orders and returned and handed the other waiter a piece of paper.

The person read it for a moment while nodding, then prepared their ordered drink and then appeared again the other one picked up and delivered the order.

Mike kicked Kevin's leg under the table. Kevin just smiled at Mike.

"Please drink ladies," Mike said to Mega and Tania. Both just nodded. They're silent. No one spoke.

"Have you been friends with Mike ?" Mega asked Tania suddenly. His eyes did not look the other way.

"Lumayan, almost a year and more," Tania answered.

"You're his friend, I'm his friend and his sister Mike" Mega said in a cynical tone.

Mike could sense something Tania was thinking. Tania looked confused. What does Mega mean by saying that ?

"Tania, Mega is a friend, a friend who is like a sister to me. We were friends from the first time I went to college. And this is Kevin, my schoolmate from back home," Mike tried to switch the conversation.

Mike fears Mega's feelings and destroys tonight's plans. Tania just smiled. So does Kevin. He was like that, very sparing to talk.

They kept quiet for a while while enjoying their drinks. Mike thought hard about how to make Mega and Tania familiar even though they had just met.

"This man is good at stringing poetic words. Hopefully one day he will become a great poet" Mike said, looking at Tania.

"With Kevin, he's great at playing instruments" he said, chugging his drink.

"Yes, he's naughty. How naughty. But he's a smart kid. So I think it's okay if he's naughty" Kevin replied with a laugh.

"No, that's not true" Mike interrupted suddenly.

"I'm not naughty, but I like jailin' other friends," he chuckled and the three of them chuckled.

"My hobby is writing love messages on girls' books in our class and writing down the names of the guys they don't like the most, "he laughs at himself reminiscing about his past. Kevin laughed too. Mega and Tania just go along with a little laugh.

"I think it's time now" Mike whispered in Kevin's ear while stealing the opportunity as Mega and Tania downed their drinks.

Kevin understood what Mike said. He held onto his collar, swallowing his saliva quickly several times. He looks nervous.

"Are you still in college or are you working ?" mega asked Tania suddenly. Mike realized that. I hope everything is okay. He knows Mega has indeed mengikhlaskan, and this is proof of his love in other forms, so that Mike does not choose the wrong lover.

"I'm still in college, thank God it's the last semester" Tania replied.

"Oh yeah ? I'll hopefully pass ya," between Mega again. He seemed to start smiling.

Mike looked around and there was no empty table. Maybe because it's a weekend so many visitors. Some visitors came with a couple. There are ones on their own.

"I'll excuse you for a second, yeah" Kevin said suddenly as he stood up.

Mike nodded then pretended to invite Tania and Mega to chat to distract them so as not to see Kevin go up to the small stage that was clearly provided in the corner there.

Suddenly the sound of a mic but I pretended to ignore it.

"Next time we go for another walk yes, four," Mike said. Mega smiled instantly.

"I can at any time, but Tania is preparing for the thesis" replied Mega calmly.

"Hmmm, I'll tell you if I can or not" Tania chimed in.

"Good night to you all, happy weekend," Kevin's voice was heard on the loudspeaker but it was hoarse so Mega wouldn't recognize him.

Kevin had stood up gallantly to convey something. His voice was trembling with nervousness.

"Tonight is a precious opportunity in my life. I thought about this and decided that the song I'm playing tonight is dedicated to someone who has brought back the love of my life."

Kevin took a deep breath and exhaled slowly so as not to be heard.

"Oh my God, Kevin. What's he doing ?" Tanya Mega instantly realized that the voice belonged to Kevin.

Mike saw clearly there was happiness radiating in Mega's eyes. Mega turned her body quickly and turned towards the sound. Tania glanced at Mike and smiled dazzled by what she saw. Mike just silently looked at the reaction of the two of them.

Finally, Kevin ventured to open his long-shut heart to anyone. Mike was just mute. Touched.

"Kevin, you're amazing tonight bro," he muttered inwardly, then glanced cursively at Tania who also started to get carried away.

"I have long closed my heart to anyone. But tonight, with no doubt at all I will say that I am in love again. And for you, after I sing this song to you, you come to me and take my hand if you want me to come into your life. I've loved you since I saw you."

Kevin confidently said all that. He had indeed decided carefully that Mega had made him fall in love again.

"Oh my God, Kevin," Mega covered her mouth with both hands. He was really stunned. He doesn't believe Kevin is doing this to declare his love. Mega turned to Mike and looked at Mike for a moment. His eyes could not cover the happiness he felt.

"He loves you, Mega" Mike told Mega, nodding.

Piano tones began to sound filling the cafe room when Kevin began to play his fingers forming his toots.

Mega started shedding tears of joy. Mike was relieved, finally Mega found a man who loved him and expressed his feelings in front of many people.

Everyone in the room looked at Kevin. There are some people taking out their gudgets to record the romantic moment.

Mike glanced at Tania, giving her a smile. Tania smiled back at Mike. Tania was already getting carried away. In his little heart he also hopes that one day Mike will do the same thing, even more than this.

Mega suddenly stood up and walked towards Kevin before the song was almost done singing. Kevin realized it and then released his finger on the piano toots when Mega had stood in front of him. He slightly played the tail of his eyes, covering the nervousness that controlled him.

Kevin then gave a hand to hold Mega's hand. Mega lets Kevin grab her hand and lands a soft kiss on the back of Mega's hand.

"I love you. Will you be my lover ?" Kevin asked after kissing Mega's hand. Mega just kept quiet and nodded in agreement. He can't say anything.

Mike and Tania stood up and walked over to them. Everyone in the cafe applauded. Mike and Tania greet the two of them and they embrace.

"I'm so happy to see the happiness on Kevin's face."
