LAST GREETINGS

Episode 16's

Mike just arrived at work. After the handover of the guard shift, he took over the duties at the main desk of the hotel entrance. Hours like this are indeed many guests who visit - some are alone, some bring a partner. He greeted one by one the guests who visited and checked every one of them who came.

Things like this he has done for almost three years since he was accepted to work here as a security. Mike is grateful that this job can help his life and also now help his tuition costs. Mike loves his job.

Unlike the previous nights, tonight he is more focused on work. His mind was not divided between Mega and Tania. After his meeting this morning with Kevin, he had already decided to introduce Mega to Kevin. He can take advantage of this opportunity - Kevin is good at playing music; playing guitar and piano. While Mega, a talented girl writing poetry, she later can pair them on a poetry musical project. Not only Mega, Mike can also use his friend's energy to help him express my feelings for Tania - yes, later, after Mega has fallen in love with Kevin and no longer hopes for him.

Maybe Mike will be difficult to make Kevin fall in love with Mega but Mike is sure, if there are seeds of likes on Mega first, it will feel easier. Plus, Mega is a reckless girl - whatever she wants she will definitely fight for. He is just like Mike but in this case, Mike cannot return his love. Mega tries hard to get Mike's love while Mike will try hard to make Tania fall for him.

Mike greeted and checked on the couple who had just come to the hotel. It seems that they do not live in Jakarta, meaning they are only on vacation in Jakarta. Mike can confirm it from their aura when returning his greetings. They looked like they were terrified that the hotel where Mike worked couldn't take in a couple of unwed guests when the man asked her the hotel's terms of stay. Mike just smiled and asked them to come in after making sure they weren't dangerous guests and told them to meet with the receptionist.

Mike returned to the table after the hotel's guest inspection. He suddenly felt a tremor in his pants pocket, his phone vibrating a sign of a message coming in. He immediately reached into his pants pocket and took out his phone. Mike quickly opened it and saw a message from who was coming in. Mega. A whatsapp message from Mega. His thumb moves to form several pattern lines on the screen to open the lockscreen. Then quickly click on the incoming message notification and read it.

"Are you still mad at me ? Ii'm sorry. I just want to say, I miss you," Mike smiled to himself reading the contents of a message from Mega. For a moment his mind immediately remembered his intention to recognize Mega to Kevin.

"Forget it. I don't want to remember it anymore. I'll meet you if you're not busy" his finger typed in a moment and sent a reply to Mega. He does not care anymore whether Mega will still reply or not at all. He pulled his hand back and put the phone in his pants pocket

"Mega, there was a friend of mine in High School, he was good at playing music. If you want, you can work together to make a musical poem," Mike's finger typed on his android screen a moment ago and sent it to Mega. He had just arrived at his boarding house after removing the guard picket. Mike put his phone on the table and walked over to the wardrobe, taking out a pair of casual clothes and pants.

Mike was about to rest but my phone suddenly rang. A call came in from Mega. Without thinking long he immediately shifted the green button to answer the Mega call.

"Hello, Mike. You're already at the boarding house ? Mega asked as soon as Mike answered his call.

"Yes, just arrived at the boarding house" Mike replied.

"What's up, Mega ?" Mike asked again.

"Mike, yeah" said Mega again, pleading.

"I want to rest. Later that night, I have a day off tomorrow" replied Mike calmly refused Mega. He really does not want to be disturbed if it is off the night shift guard picket.

In the past, before Mega came into his life, nothing interfered with his break time. Now, since Mike entered college and met with Mega, his mind is always made dizzy with matters of the heart, affairs of feelings, affairs of love.

"Yes, then. Sorry distracting. I'm waiting for you to pick me up for a while at night" said Mega Ketus. Mega disappointed. But Mega did not respond to Mike's message at all. Ahh, only later explained, his mind.

"Don't get mad Mega. I really want to take a break," he said quickly before Mega turned off her phone without saying anything more.

Mike put his phone back on the table, turned the fan towards him then returned to the bed and hugged the bolster pillow. Mike thought about his attitude just now. Maybe Mega was disappointed with his rejection. It is rare for Mike to refuse Mike's request. Everything changes after Mike learns Mega's heart and Mike tries to avoid it. Especially for now, there was already Tania whom he had brought into his personal life.

"Hopefully Mega will accept my offer. Sooner or later I will make sure, Mega will fall in love with Kevin, on the figure of a man who is frugal talking, humorous and very good at playing his fingers on the piano toots, and also playing his fingers strumming guitar strings."

Kevin's bitter memories with Cindy may be healed soon so that Kevin can open his heart to other girls. Mike believes Kevin is the kind of loving guy. He loved Cindy so much that he didn't realize she didn't love him wholeheartedly. Cindy secretly has another lover besides Kevin. The heartache that he had so long in his heart made him become closed and did not have a girlfriend since he broke up with Cindy.

Now he's here in Jakarta with Mike after a long time they haven't seen each other and there's no news. Mike wants to continue the friendly relationship they have built in their white-gray time. Mike will try to help him heal his old wounds from Cindy and Mega is the girl he feels is right for Kevin.
