Episode 44: Conjecture

Eleeya was still sculpting when Yohan closed the window, the room of Eleeya's room was now filled with music from Yohan whistles.

Whistling, the man fixed the clothes Eleeya had made a mess.

"Well, you should know that I'm actually jealous of your friend" Yohan said, smiling.

"...Jealousy?"

"Yes, it's ridiculous?He's really trying to keep me away from you"

"But me and Rui's brother...."

A slap landed on the girl's cheek, making the girl stunned and rounding her eyes, her left cheek looking reddened due to the powerful slap coming from Yohan's palm.

The girl tried to hold back her cries by biting her own lower lip, while the one giving the slap was even very calm.

"I told you to stop calling him brother, are you deaf?" her words are cold.

Eleeya squeezed the tip of her clothes, saying that she was afraid now, she was talking a little wrong then the story was over.

"Huh"

Yohan sighed while ruffling her hair.

"Sleep, it's so late now" Yohan said.

Eleeya was still squeezing the edge of her clothes, perhaps if left it would tear in a moment, she glanced at Yohan just to confirm her expression.

"What's wrong?Is there something you want to say?" asked the man while tilting his head.

"Ti-no, I'll go to sleep soon" replied Eleeya as she stepped foot and prepared to go to sleep immediately.

"Well, I'll go after making sure you're really asleep"

The flat gaze of the man seemed to accompany every step of Eleeya's foot.

Sometimes the girl glanced at the man who was still standing near the window, but she immediately turned her gaze when she knew that the figure was staring at her with such a terrible look.

Eleya laid her body down with her back to Yohan.

The man just stood there, watching closely with no expression on his face.

The girl closed her eyes, even though she had no desire to sleep, she forced her eyes to shut so that Yohan would leave her room immediately.

"El?" call Yohan.

Silence, there was no word from the girl whose name was called.

It looked like the girl had fallen asleep in her sleep.

After several times Yohan called out her name and still there was no reply from the girl, Yohan waltzed away.

TAPS...TAPS...TAPS...

Hearing the footsteps away, it meant that Yohan had already left the room, immediately Eleeya opened her eyes, from earlier she had not slept,his eyes were reluctant to fall asleep especially when in a condition that could be said to be restless and afraid.

She turns around to make sure Yohan and intends to close the door of her room.

"Ahh" chuckled Eleeya.

He was suffocating slowly as he gasped to find Yohan still standing there staring at him.

The man smiled making both his eyes narrow.

"What the fuck?You're pretending to be asleep?" ask her.

Eleeya just silenced and bowed her face not daring to look at the interlocutor who was so scary.

He'll be mad.. He would get angry, Eleeya muttered as she squeezed her own fingers filled with cold sweat.

"Pft, go back to sleep, I shouldn't wake you up" said the man, pulling a blanket over Eleya.

After which, the man waltzed away, completely going out of Eleeya's room after turning off the girl's room light.

Eleeya just gawked, no matter how long she stayed with the man, she still could not understand his attitude.

Morning is the time when the cold air is so pierced to the bone that the girl who just finished the bath grabbed her own body because of the cold.

It was a few days after that time.

As usual, Johan always sat at the dinner table first.

His eyes whizzed when he saw Eleya who had come out of his room, he threw a smile and moved his hands while hinting for Eleya to sit beside him.

Eleeya understood, she immediately walked over and sat down right next to Yohan.

"Get your foot, I'll change the bandage" said Yohan.

As she had been instructed, Eleeya raised one of her legs up on the chair and then slowly Yohan opened the wrapped bandage that had been wet on Eleeya's legs, the need had dried but the swelling was still visible even a little, though slightly, Yohan took out a new bandage and began to bandage her wound very carefully.

"It's over" he said later.

"Do you want to eat something?" ask Eleeya.

Yohan shook her head.

"I want you to make me a glass of milk" said Yohan.

Eleeya nodded her head and went to immediately make Yohan a glass of milk and put it in front of the man as she wished.

"I like the color of this milk, solid white without any mixture" said Yohan, looking at the milk and then gulped it down.

"Ah Yohan." said Eleeya doubtfully.

"Hm"

"Tomorrow is my birthday, can we celebrate it?" she's shy.

The handsome man smiled and rubbed the top of the girl's head until her hair fell apart.

"Of course, I promised to give you a special gift" Yohan said.

The answer made Eleeya happy, with a big smile she hugged the man tightly.

"I'm looking forward to it" said Eleeya smiling happily.

In other places, there was the sound of crying from a middle-aged woman, whose husband was beside her trying to calm her even though he was also sad.

"Father, our mother is investigating the related case, please do not worry and wait for news" said the police officer who was facing the two husbands and wives.

"Sir, the one who doesn't worry, it's been months, you said the same thing at that time but no news ever came" said the wife who was upset and kept crying.

There was a look of confusion from the police officer, and it was seen by Alana who accidentally passed there.

"Officer Dan, what's the matter?" ask Alana.

"Oh Detective Alana, they are the parents of one of the missing children" said Officer Dan.

"You're a Detective?How much longer I wait for you to investigate, I've even given this officer information about my son, the torch" she said wiping her tears using the scarf she used.

"He's our only child, even if he's gone, we want to see his body" the husband said in a trembling voice.

Alana looked at the pity of the two people in front of her, apart from that she also felt guilty because she could not find where their child was missing.

"Officer Dan, can I see the file about the boy?" alana.

Officer Dan also gave an envelope to Alana, and immediately opened by her, in her there are several sheets of photos that are being viewed carefully by Alana.

"That's some pictures of Hailey with her girlfriends, and that's the last photo she took when she was declared missing afterwards" explained the middle-aged woman believed to be Hailey Scott's mother.

Alana stared at the photos one by one, where Hailey put on a style of wearing a short dress and pendant with an initials-shaped toy of her name while smiling,it was the photo he uploaded last time on his social media.

All his girlfriends look very handsome, I mean his taste is very good, all who have been in a relationship with him this could be one of them is the culprit, muttered Alana while continuing to stare at one by one the photo.

Yes, if he likes a handsome man it means...

Alana gasped and put all the photos back in the envelope and handed them back to Officer Dan.

Not to forget Alana again gave tranquilizing words to a couple who were upset because of her only child.

The girl stepped her feet along the corridor while struggling on her mind.

This is just my guess, but seeing from everything that has happened, it could have been him, I can't be rash, I have to calm down to think about it, Alana muttered in her heart.
