Chapter 40: Failed!

Both of Rui's eyes were rounded at once hearing the statement from the girl before him.

With her sad face and pitiful gaze she said something that even Rui could not accept.

"Eleeya, do you know what you're saying?"

Back the girl is silent and takes her eyes off Rui, making Rui more riled up and more confused by the change of the girl.

Physically it was obviously the same Eleeya, but she was not the Eleeya who would always smile when looking at Rui like she used to be,the girl who was in front of Rui was the girl who even took her eyes off many times as if she did not want to see Rui's face again, to be honest it made Rui's heart so slightly hurt.

Rui closed her eyes for a moment after realizing that all of this effort was nothing.

Then his netra looked straight at Eleya who was bowing her face.

Then in another room, Yohan was sitting with her hands still cuffed.She looked straight with her blank gaze, not talking anything nor did anything.

"If they are lovers, then it will not be good for us" said Tian who was standing not far from where Yohan was sitting.

"Hah, my head almost broke, from earlier my muscles stiffened when outside" Alana said with a sigh.

"I shouldn't have listened and trusted him when he said he found the culprit" Tian said twisting his forehead.

Alana glanced at Yohan who was still impressed daydreaming with her blank look, she really looked helpless when she was separated from the girl.

Then, something surprised Alana, making the woman jerk and link her eyebrows together.

Yohan just glanced at him and showed a small smile to Alana, of course it was only aimed at Alana because only the woman saw it.

Tian and Alana stared at each other when they found out that their boss, Mr. Nathan, was calling Tian right now.

With a heavy sigh, Father Nathan stepped foot to meet Rui, but his steps stopped when he found Rui who came out of the room hurriedly while clenching his hands.

Rui stopped when she heard Mr. Nathan's voice yelling at her, with his hands still firmly clutching the collar of Yohan's shirt, she was jolted when she learned of Mr. Nathan's arrival at that time.

Seeing that it was Mr. Nathan who came, Johan thrashed and finally the grip on his collar was released, it made Yohan move away from Rui and closer towards Mr. Nathan.

"Tian and Alana, take Yohan to another room and take off her handcuffs, give her a glass of water" Nathan said.

Tian and Alana could do nothing but obey the orders of her superiors.

Alana turned her gaze towards Rui, for the first time she saw how pitiful her man was, she looked so confused, but there was nothing the girl could do at this moment.

"Go back, come back to your office, I'll meet you there" Nathan said as he turned his back.

"But Chief, I..."

"GUYS!" Shouted Mr. Nathan and made Rui flinch.

"Stop making a mess, follow my words, for the good of all of us" Nathan said and walked away.

Rui silently stared at the back of Mr. Nathan who was walking away, that day he felt his world as if it was collapsing, he bit his lower lip holding back his wrath, that day, kicking something that was there to just let go of the tightness in his chest.
