Part 55: Believe in you

Louis had 2 days decided to go home to his parents after he shot, he even rarely went home to his apartment. Usually he will also stay at a hotel near the shooting location, or even sleep at the shooting location that has its dormitory facilities.

"I'm sorry, I don't hold it in my heart." Louis chimed in a soft tone and picked up the broken glass on the floor.

"This father.." said his mother hit his father's arm irritated, then immediately got up.

"Have it. Let me clean it. You rest. You must be very tired.." his mother approached Louis with a broom.

Louis stared at the broken glass on the floor without flinching.

"Have a rest. You must be tired." said his mother again pushed slowly Louis' body.

Louis just took a slow step towards his room not commenting.

Dad, Mom and Irene are sorry to see Louis like that, but there's nothing they can do.

Jane decides to go home to L state because there are some of her businesses getting into trouble. She does not tell Ana, but Ana finds out, because Ana has help from Mr. Zhou. Mr. Zhou sent some of his men to help Ana during B1 and other members were hiding and recuperating after the fire incident.

Several of Jane's businesses, which are working with state officials in L, are being vetted by police and prosecutors, as the officials are embroiled in drug and money-laundering scandals, one of the transaction data is Jane's bank account.

Ana may be able to breathe a little relieved without having to terror Jane and Franz, because they depart together, although different destinations. Before Franz returned to his country, Ana had ordered his men to spy on Aunt Layla, and of course he often met Franz when Ana went to work, even they had met Dominic in the suburbs. Ana also gets some photos of Franz's mischief while in K country, he often goes to nightclubs, gets drunk with women at night under the guise of working on Ana. Some days Ana is much more happy and calm without Jane and Franz, although she still has not talked much with Aunt Layla.

That afternoon Ana's team will meet with Louis. Ana, who had just finished a meeting with the company's top brass, was at odds with Louis and Pak Dong.

"Hello Ms.Grey..how are you?" greet Mr. Dong kindly.

"Well." replied Ana briefly with her faint smile without looking at Louis who kept looking at her. As it passed, Louis suddenly held Ana's hand.

"I want to talk." she said softly with all her courage.

"I don't have time to talk to you." Ana said coldly.

Their eyes stared at each other for a long time, their heartbeats beating each other.

"Can you take my hand off now?" timpal Ana with a cold look.

As if he did not heed Ana's words, Louis pulled hard Ana's hand to drag her away through the emergency door leading to the emergency stairs. Ana immediately brushed off Louis's hand grip hard and slapped Louis hard.

"How dare you to me !!" snapped Ana hard.

"Hit me as much as you can, if you're satisfied, give me time to talk to you." snapped Louis no less loudly. Ana is stunned by Louis' courage.

"You make me feel guilty all the time.What happened that night I don't want you to misunderstand me"

"I don't want to talk about it anymore.." Ana rushes away but Louis quickly pulls and holds Ana's arm.

"Take me off !!" snapped Ana.

Mr. Dong and Mr. Kim who eavesdropped from behind the door wanted to try to break up, but Mr. Kim held back the intention of Mr. Dong who wanted to interfere, finally they agreed to keep the door so that no one else would use the door or anyone approached the door to hear Ana and Louis quarrel.

"I beg you. Listen to me.." beg Louis in a pleading tone.

"Listen to me, whether you believe it or not, at least I've explained it to you.."

Ana looked at him flatly.

"That night Mrs Jane sent me a message saying something to me, she threatened that if I didn't come, she would hurt you. I had no choice, I also didn't expect you to be coming there that night.." Louis' gaze looked worried.

"I never stopped worrying about you Ana. That's why I came to see Mrs Jane, I also wanted to ask her not to trouble you anymore, but she instead asked me to stay away from you.. he said you were going to marry Franz.I don't care if you like him or not.You agree with the match or not.The only thing I care about is your happiness.. but I have no rights over you. So only one thing I believe in.. I always trust you Ana.. You ask me to trust you right??? then I'll always believe you.." Louis continued to talk to Ana about everything.

"Whatever bad news is out there that tells me about you, I'll just believe everything you say." Louis' breath was stingy, now the tightness in his chest was gone, she felt very relieved to have told Ana everything, even though Ana did not say anything to her.

"You done yet?? go. finish your meeting.." That's all Ana said, and she immediately left Louis standing there alone.
